Prologue - Carnage

I don't think I can explain what happened that day in a way you will understand. It was just another Tuesday, the date I can't really remember, walking to school at 8 in the morning.

I had met up with Jason at the corner of our street, as always, and was just greeting him, when all hell broke loose.

It was carnage, plain and simple. Before I could blink, I saw the traffic light shatter in front of my eyes. Behind it was the pavement, the buildings, the cars, even the people, ripped appart before they could make a sound.

It was as if someone had thrown a rock at a window, shattering it into tiny peices, only it wasn't a rock, it was the very reality around us.

I knew without looking that that the same was true behind me from Jason's expression. However that wasn't the most distracting thing I was seeing. What really drew my eyes were a woman. Perfection is the only way I can truly describe her. Her flawless skin, spakling like ivory, her billowing green and blue hair, with a glimmering array of hues, and her perfect figure, clad in a dress that could only be described as otherworldy. She was so perfact, I didn't even notice the man, with looks rivalling her own, on the end of her uplifted arm, nor that her hand was inside his chest.

This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.

It was at that moment when Jason finally grabbed my arm and pulled me behind him. I tried to tell him I was fine, but he wasn't listening to me, rather the two strangers had started talking;

"Haaaah... It seems I wasn't ready yet. You'll have to forgive me if I depart without congratulating you Saintess." Came from the man.

"Possibly had you trained another 20 000 years, then you might have had the qualifications to make me fight seriously. However, for now, DIE!!"

With that the man's body simply exploded.

I was so shocked I stepped, streight into the shattered world behind me, feet first. I only remembe pain, the pain of having you legs be torn to shreds, while the chaotic current slowly pulled me in further, until my entire lower half was gone, when Jason pulled me out.

That saw the first time Jason saved my life. The second was when he shouted at the Lady, no the Saintess, and blamed her for all this carnage, demanding she heal me.

I don't remember much else until I woke up in a clearing, in a forest, with a much jounger version of Jason lying next to me, and a new body to replace my old one.
