Alicia Woods

When Ethan opened the door, he saw a young woman in her early twenties wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans and carrying a handbag. She had a beautiful oval face and her dark brown hair was neatly tied up.

“You are?” Ethan was surprised to see a woman visiting the villa at this time, but he had a feeling he had seen her somewhere.

But the woman’s eyes were wide open, and she was clearly shocked.

“E...Ethan?”

When she awoke in the morning, she received a notification that someone was looking for a maid to take care of his house. Despite being a bright student and receiving a university scholarship, her family background was not very good. Her single mother raised three children, and she was the eldest daughter, making it difficult for her to expect financial support from her family.

Even though she worked some part-time jobs to supplement her income, it was interfering with her studies. And when she saw the notification in the morning and realized that the pay was also generous, she decided to give it a shot, especially since the job also provided the opportunity to live in the same house. It could save her room rent and time, allowing her to focus on her studies.

But what she didn’t expect was that the person who posted the requirement was Ethan, a classmate.

Although they were classmates, she had never spoken to him. She lived in a different world than he did, and Ethan, despite his brilliance, was not very social and had very few friends in the class.

But Ethan’s voice interrupted her thoughts.

“You are?”

Her fists were clenched as she looked down, embarrassed to see her classmate in front of her.

Even though he didn’t recognize her, and they never spoke, but they were classmates. What did he think of her character?

“Miss, could you please tell me what you want?” Her body jerked as Ethan’s irritated voice reached her ears.

She remained frozen in place for a moment before taking a deep breath and raising her head to look at him, her eyes slightly red.

“Alicia. Alicia Woods,”

Ethan frowned succinctly before raising his brows. “We are classmates?”

Alicia pursed her lips before nodding; she was embarrassed to come to this house for the job of a maid.

“Come Inside,” Ethan took a step to the side.

Alicia’s gaze lingered on Ethan for a moment before she entered the villa. But as soon as she stepped inside, her mouth cracked.

This was the first time she had entered a luxurious villa. Everything seemed so grand to her. Her eyes also stopped at the Portrait of a man and a woman carrying a child.

She looked at Ethan, who was sitting on a couch.

He simply nodded and gestured for her to take a seat.

As she sat on the couch, her hands clenched her handbags tightly, and her legs were pressed together as she subconsciously scratched her skin with her thumb.

“So, what’s the matter?” Ethan’s gaze observed every single movement of her body.

Her head was still down, staring at the carpet. Even though she had made up her mind, she found it difficult to express it clearly.

But, after taking a deep breath, she raised her head and looked him in the eyes.

“Did you post the requirement for the housekeeper?”

Ethan nodded but then paused. “You came here for that job?”

Alicia clenched her teeth but nodded slightly. She was not ashamed of her job. It’s just that she was embarrassed to do the work in a classmate’s home.

“Are you sure?” Ethan’s pupils constricted as he locked his gaze on Alicia.

“Yes,” Alicia said, taking a deep breath. She wanted to go back, but the allure of the salary was too much for her. She didn’t have to pay room rent and could even send money to her mother.

Ethan nodded and stood up after staring at her for a while. “If you don’t have any problems, then I have no issues. You can move in anytime.”

“Everything has been mentioned in that app. In any case, all you have to do is keep the house clean and maintain it. Also, please send me your account number.”

Alicia took a deep breath, nodded, and stood up. “Thank you.” She whispered and turned around to leave.

She still had many reservations about his work, but she kept them to herself. She was aware of Ethan, the son of one of the country’s most successful entrepreneurs. But they passed away a year ago. She knew that once she arrived, she would be alone with Ethan and that many rumors would propagate about her.

But she also didn’t care. This job could provide her with adequate money, she would have enough time for her studies, and she would have a good job after graduation within a year.

Meanwhile, Ethan’s gaze fixed on her until she left and closed the door before he went back to finish his breakfast.

.......

It was nine o’clock in the morning when Ethan stepped out of the door wearing a black-colored shirt and blue jeans and sneakers.

His car was parked beneath the porch. He opened the door, sat inside, and drove away.

Over an hour had passed, and Ethan’s eyes darted around from time to time, noticing that he had arrived at the city’s outskirts.

The highway was filled with many light and commercial vehicles as a Black BMW zoomed past many heavy trucks.

Ethan’s gaze shifted to the center console of the car, where he could see the route to his destination.

As he followed the route, his Black BMW took the service road and after a while, his gaze was drawn to an enormous billboard.

“Styx River Shooting Range,”
