A woman’s piercing scream sounds through the cloudless night, just hours before the sun's light pierces through the dark. The scream comes from a modern castle-like mansion, within one of its larger bedrooms. Inside the room are four people, the one screaming has beads of sweat running down her fair pale skin. She looks to be fairly young and beautiful. If it were not for the look of pain contorting her face she would be even more ethereal as a fairy. Her screams continue as she looks to be pushing with her abdominal muscles.
“Ahhhhhhhhh ahhh” the woman pushes once again.
“You’re doing great madam, I can see his head now.” A woman in a slightly bloody doctor’s uniform encourages, “Continue pushing, it’s almost over now.” The doctor turns toward the third woman who wore a nurse’s uniform. “Carol, quickly replace the cold rag then prepare the blanket, scissors, and clamps.”
“Right away doctor.” With that, she replaced the rag on the woman giving birth. She proceeded to lay out a towel and grabbed the surgical scissors and clamps. “ It’s all ready, doctor.”
“How is it looking Ria?” The only male questioned with an impassive expression, checking his watch, more concerned about the time than the current circumstances.
The doctor, Ria, without looking away furrows her eyebrows as a drop of sweat trails down her face. She answers, ”Sir, your child is not looking as though he’ll make it. He has a low chance of surviving birth. His heartbeat is weakening, and his oxygen levels are dropping significantly.” and just then the baby slides the rest of the way out with a small splash of blood. Her expression suddenly pales as she quickly reaches for the scissors, “His neck is being strangled by the umbilical cord, Carol keep the clamp ready for me” the baby’s face was pale and almost blue but there was still life in its face. Ria began untangling the umbilical cord from the neck, she grabbed the clamp and sealed the umbilical cord then urgently cut it from the base. Blood was slowly starting to return to the baby’s face as it breathed weakly.

The man left the room without looking back while shaking his head “He’s no good” *sigh* “Oh well, I still have time. Maybe he’ll have a useful ability, I can still make use of him if he does. Too bad he has a weak lifeforce, it’ll be nearly impossible for him to rise to the top of my family”
Ria wrapped up the baby after gently cleaning him and helping his breathing get a bit stronger. She then set him in the arms of his mother, “Madam, you’ve had a handsome baby boy. He had a few complications during birth so he’s a bit weak right now, I need to take his temperature and get a small blood sample, please give me a second” She then took out a machine with a small needle and pricked both of his heels, the baby showed no reaction to it.
Ria then proceeded to take his temperature with a metal stick attached to a LED display, she put the thermometer in the babies armpit and he started screaming ”WAAaaAAaAAAaaAaaHhhHHhHhhhHhhhh” *gasp* “WaaAahHHHH”
“Shhh my child, Shhh. It’s ok, it’s ok. I’m your mother, I won’t let you come to harm while I’m here. So hush my beautiful child, you’re fine” The mother weakly whispered this to her child as she gently breathed in and out.
Ria looked towards the mother, “Madam, have you decided on his name?” and asked her this question.
“... Yes, his name shall be Isaac… Isaac Neo Knight.” She kissed him on his forehead while continuing “I love you, my son”
The mother drifts into a silent sleep, her face showing her exhaustion. Isaac just curiously looks around the room. He grips tightly onto his mother not seeming to want to let go, hours pass and he is fed and changed and he finally drifts to sleep in his mother's arms as his vision fades to black.
