"Series of murders continue in the city, Police are still clueless about the suspect. Mr. Tiwari, the Police commissioner, was running from the media, trying to avoid the question. But for how long the people of the town live in the terror."
Shreya was listening to the reporter with an angry expression while sitting on the table. Shreya did not like the way the media was reporting the investigation, she wanted to tell them that the Police were not sitting ideally, but working hard to arrest the culprit.
Shreya was one of the officers working on the case, it was the 6th murder that had happened in the last month. What was antagonizing was that the culprit had left no clues on the crime scene.
Adding to her anger, the Police head has called them to lecture them about their incompetence.
Shreya sighed, "I wonder who this psycho is, worrying me so much?". Shreya took a deep breath.
"Ready for the lecture?", Shreya called to the people in the room and walked out of the room.
..............
The office of the commissioner of Police was a large room with windows on the right wall showing an outside view.
On the left wall, a big map of the city was pasted. On the wall facing the entry gate was a big Emblem of India, and right in front of the Emblem, was a table with a computer and lots of files, and behind the files and computer was a man sitting on his chair. Head lean, eyes shut, but he was not asleep because one could see his finger constantly tapping the arm of the chair.

A nameplate on the table showed the name, Mr. Vibhuti. S. Tiwari.
Two knocks were heard on the door, "come-in" said the commissioner.
Five people entered the room, one of them was Shreya.
Just as Shreya entered the room, she saw the nameplate and behind the nameplate a man leaning on his chair, staring outside the window.
Tiwari swung his chair to look at the people in front of him, at the front of the group was a young man of fair complexion.
"Atul, I guess you know why I have called your team here," said Tiwari.
Atul hesitated for a moment before speaking, "Sir, we are working to catch the culprit"
"But, unfortunately, your hard work is not enough, anyways, I have called you here to tell you that, you don't have to worry about the case anymore.
The Centre has taken note of our incompetence and handed the case to the CBI. They will arrive tomorrow, hand them all the files related to the case".
"Yes, sir" Atul replied with an unsatisfied tone and turned around to leave the room.
Shreya exited the office but did not go with the group. She stood there, outside the office watching as her companions walked in the corridor without any gild or concern.
Shreya was an idealistic person, who believed in justice and humanity. She never understood how people kill other people, that's why she felt herself responsible for bringing justice to such people.
But, now she was helpless, she was furious, she had tried her best on the case, and had worked on several theories, but her superior, Atul, discarded all her theories saying she was exaggerating the cases by making them related to each other.
Shreya walked outside the building, it was raining, she walked to the car, and before entering the car she looked up, and mumbled, "What would you have done, Father?"
