I was not a supporter of the O'wryns. They ruled the masses with fear and forced a regard towards themselves that borderlined faith. The nobles were lined up with shows of power and wealth to be led around with a carrot of avarice. I didn't have a fanatical respect for them, nor did I cower at their strength.
Just because they didn't have their official name on the goings in the slums did not mean there absence was void all together. There blood-flecked fingers were all over the criminal activities. And out of all the overlords, they benefited the most. A fact that I didn't know until later, but a great majority, if not all of my assassination contracts were either issued, or sactioned by the Rucep.
