I have no recollection my parents, I was raised by my best friend, here in this place now known as a dungeon. I was around 6 when I was found by him, who would be later known as Deat, my best friend. He taught me everything I’ve known so far, how to protect myself, how to get stronger, where not to go. But being the curious kid, I was, I ignored the last warning he gave me, before he disappeared. “Don’t go looking for answers deeper”. A little after a week of him leaving I went to look for him, past the point that he forbade me. There I was met with a spiral staircase, leading towards a huge open area. I walked off toward the center, then…. I heard a booming voice. WE HAVE A NEW CHALLENGER. Huh? What….
ALRIGHT YOUNG MAN, YOU HAVE THREEEEEE CHOICES, Kobalt the Unstoppable, Reynolds the Ripper, or PIPSQUEAK!!!!!!!!!!!
Ugh, I’m, I’m sorry I shouldn’t have come down here, I’ll leave imminently. Turning back towards the staircase. BAM. Ouch. Hitting a wall that wasn’t there. Oh no.
You have 30 seconds to choose your opponent. And may I add, you should choose wisely.
Wait, this was just an accident, I didn’t mean too.
10 SECONDS!
I ugh..I choose Pipsqueak.
OUR CHALLENGER HAS CHOSEN. PIPSQUEAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Undefeated Champion. I ADMIRAR YOUR BRAVERY KID, YOU MAY NOT HAVE MANY FRIENDS, BUT HELL ILL BE ONE OF THEM.
Suddenly looking around a crowd of people of thousands….no tens of thousands suddenly appeared in bleachers all around the arena.
BOOM!
A 100 foot, jacked out of his mind tall thing. Appeared out of nowhere.
ROAR!!!!!!!
The ground was shaking. My body started quivering, everything was telling me to run like screaming alarms. Looking up I can see it. It`s head was that of lion, wrapped in what looks like skin, like mine. The torso was very dark tanned with bulging muscles, and with legs wrapped in a dark metal.
ALRIGHT PEOPLE WE HAVE KEPT YOU WAITING LONG ENOUGH…. BEGIN!!!!
Suddenly charging at me, only took it half of a second, where its eyes turned blood red as it went to bite me….
I’m sorry…Deat…
Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
The beast on all fours went to swallow me whole, a red translucent orb appeared around me.
HMM? Is that. A dark grin appeared on the announcer’s face as he starred at my ring.
ROAR!!!!!!!!!! SLASH! CHOMP! BLAST. The beast went berserk on the orb that surround me as it spun in all direction going faster and faster.
Suddenly shocked. But how... looking down at a ring Deat gave me before he disappeared. He didn’t explain its function he said it was to make me look more refined.
BOOM!
Suddenly disappearing from the arena. All that was left where the announcer, the crowd and the beast. That kid. ROARRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! That roar was not from the beast but, the announcer as fire came out of his mouth, hands, and feet simultaneously.
Zap! Ouch, putting a hand to my head, where, am I…Deat, please come back. I need you.
The orb disappeared after a few minutes, giving me enough time to assess my surrounding, how is it so bright... its blinding, being exposed to the sun blinded me. Taking off a leather vest and draping it over my head. That’s better. Guess I better get walking.
Walking towards a monstrous wall, lookes like my best bet of figuring out what’s going on. Maybe they know where Deat is. A small smile appeared on my lips.
Ugh hello. Halt! 5 gold coins. What.. I don’t know what that is.. You playing games with us kid? 5 gold coins or you can go back to wherever you came from. Having suddenly thought of where I just came from… NOOOO, please don’t send me back, I don’t know of what you mean, I…I have ugh..This! Taking off one of my rings on my right hand. Please will this do, It was a gift from..my best friend. The two guards looked at each other, at the sudden change in mood from this kid… taking the ring, the guard noticed a shimmering light in the center. Magic, OH my. Your good to go kid, the guards walked aside allowing me to enter the huge gate.
Wipping away my tears, thank you.

Inside the City
There, are people, people like me, everywhere. Ugh excuse me miss, do, have, do you know anyone named Deat. NO! Now leave me alone kid. Awww so sorry. Asking several more people in the street if they know anyone named Deat, all lead to violent out lashes. This approach isn’t going to work. The sun just set, taking my vest off my head, aww now that’s better, I can finally see.
Adventuring around, taking many twists and turns. Hey kid. Huh? OH hi, Have you. Shhhhhh listen I know what you looking for. REALLY, You know DEA. SHHHHH kid you going to get us in trouble if you keep yelling like that. Said a figured cloaked in a long black robe. Look my price is pretty steep but, you’ll get your fix, whatcha got? Ugh I…looking down at my rings I had 6 now 4, thanks to the guard, other than them I only have the clothes I’m wearing. Suddenly looking up. WOW, kid where you get those. Grabbing my hand, these are all, magic…
HEHE, tony said under his cloak, so you looking to sell, buy what do you want again? I can’t sell these. I said straight forward. I’m just looking for my friend, his name is Deat. He went missing a little while ago. Hmmm, Tony said. I haven’t heard about your friend but ill tell you what. I look up. I bet your friend just lost in the dungeon its not a big deal, well it depends how you look at it. So, is your friend strong by chance. I think back, I was surrounded by 100s of ghoul like monsters that where on all fours with their limbs pointing in the wrong direction. I thought it was all over but Deat came out of nowhere, and glanced at them. That was when I was most shocked, they all turned tale to run away. Yes, I said proudly, Deats the strongest! Ohh, Tony said, they you see he probably just on an expedition in the dungeon I’m sure he come back up eventually. Thinking back, I don’t think Deat`s been up here before, I thought. Or, you can try to go find him yourself. The dungeons entrance is in the center of the plaza, you can’t miss it. A thought rolled across my mind. Maybe he is looking for me too.
Thank you I say smiling. No problem kid, if you ever need anything items, potions or general stuff you come see me. And if you’re ever looking to sell anything especially those rings you know where to find me. Tony said suddenly vanishing back into the alley way.
Walking towards the plaza.
CLINK, CLINK, CLINK
Hmm? Several tall men and women appeared decked out in flashy gold and silver armor, with signs of battle ridden on them.
Oh, man that was tough, can’t believe we didn’t find anything crazy from killing that floor boss. Yea what a loud of shit, maybe in a couple days we could fight him again. Ill say, said the group.
Excuse me. Hmm? Kid whatcha wandering the streets for so late at night huh? I actually wanted to ask. Where, where did you guys come from?
The dungeon
This, this is, a tear came flowing down my face. Humph, I’ll find you, don’t worry Deat. I small smile crept on my face.
Stepping into the dungeons first floor.
Heading down many staircases.
Wow, these tunnels sure lead in all sorts of directions, I think I’ll just go straight.
STOP!
Hmm? A dark Knight suddenly appeared. He was tall probably six foot five, he was wearing black armor that was shaped to his body type which was muscular and thin at the waist. He looked menacing as he breathed white mist leaked from his helmet. BOOM!! He pulled out a long sword that was a little more then half his size. The wind crackled. The knight took a steadfast position, waiting for me to make a move. It seems either I fight or I die, I said with a sorry smile. My legs were shaking, even though I’ve been exposed to this kind of stuff on a daily basis, I’ve never really fought aside from sparring with Deat.
Okay here it goes. If I want to find him. I have to get stronger…SSSSSSSSSS. The knights helmet leaked out another cloud of white mist. It seems like he is getting impatient. “Rise”, I whispered as I held my hands against my chest. A dark circle appeared Infront of the Knight. A bony, nearly naked skeleton appeared, holding what appeared to be a rusty broken sword. The skeleton had his back towards me, as he was protecting me. Okay, I can. SLASH! My mouth was a gape. The knight swung in a downwards manner, while my skeleton tried to block, however, he was overpowered and crushed into dust. The knight took a step forward.
He is giving me another chance; he could have finished me by now but it seems like he is playing with me. My head hurt; something was boiling inside me. I glanced up the knight, he was holding a different stance. His sword was vertical, his eyes gleaming with intent.
I twitched my finger, a black book appeared in my hands. The Knights head tilted. I turned to the 5th page and red line by line. It was a language, unfamiliar to me, I only understood it because of Deat. It was a gift from him. It took me fifteen second to read through the six lines of text. Clap. I shut the book. The knight stood there, he had a questioning glance, until. SLASH! His sword sliced at the walls. Hands and limbs formed all around the room. They grabbed and clasped the knight’s limbs. He was strong, His swords sliced through them with ease, but it wasn’t enough. This was a spell I studied for months. It was a Necromancer spell variety. It turns your surrounds into your weapon. With us being in a one-way corridor, I had the advantage. His limbs where suddenly grabbed by both sides; he was restrained unable to move. You could hear the sound of metal squeaking as their limbs pried his limbs apart. ROAR! The corridor shook. His eyes glimmered red, clouds busted out of his helmet. Every limb in his body was flexing together harder then ever before. BAM! He broke free. The spell only lasts fifteen seconds. I was shocked. The hands started fading away, the knight was dragging his sword in my direction. SLICE!
The knights sudden charge halted. A rusty blade was coming out of his abdomen. Dark red blood spurted everywhere. He was shocked, he turned to face the assailant to see the near naked skeleton behind him twisting his sword. Bam. The knight fell. SSSSSSSSSSSSSS. A dark cloud of smoke appeared and all that remained was the knights pitch black helmet. The Skelton knelt, and presented the helmet to me. I smiled wearily, thank you, I said. Grasping undead, the spell I used, was never meant to kill the knight, it was just meant as a distraction while I summoned my skeleton again. I put the helmet over my Short, yet slightly curly hair. Wow, I thought, this helmet doesn’t impend my vison, but slight enhance it. This is great!
I should go back for today; I barely entered the first floor, and I nearly died. I need to do this smarter not harder. After dismissing my skeleton, I headed back. Summoning was the first spell Deat personally taught me, hence why I didn’t need to read the book to use it. Thanks again, I said.
