Me and my fiance were heading to my home which is also my uncle's place. The reason is to celebrate the incoming wedding. My fiance beautiful, has long black hair, blue eyes and is from overseas, she talks at extremely rare times because she is used to silence and her mother has a mental disorder that makes her just stare into empty space and remain expressionless.

I met her at a time when she was working as a nurse while I was hunting a certain enchantid that was after my friend. First I will explain what they are. Enchantids are creatures that take the shape of an inanimate objects and gain power in the sunlight, powers like transforming or psychic abilities or controlling elements and remain invisible to those who they are not targeting and doesn't know their existence. Their weakness is salt and I prefer using saltwater because some of them can just shake of the salt although using just salt can give even greater damage. Enchantids are basically unbreakable, using a hammer, incinerating, etc. maybe throwing them into the ocean but if a powerful enchantid was thrown if ever they reach land and dry off, as long as there is sunlight they can regenerate. So I throw them into the storage house me and my friends who knows about enchantid built. It has a constant source of salt which my fisherman friend gives me and also helps me when there are enchantids after their friends and family.

Bringing things back to topic, I met my fiance when I was severely injured by a enchantid which bit a large portion of my stomach and I felt I was going to die. With the last of my strength I pour all my salt and salt water as he bit me and threw it when it returned to a form of a doll into the hole of an abandoned house and wish that my friend can find and secure it so while I was losing consciousness, I pointed towards the direction of the house. My friend manage to secure it and I was sent to the hospital, they thought I was going to die but a miracle doctor came visiting and managed to save me and when I woke up I thought I was dreaming and saw the most beautiful woman I ever seen. I proposed by shouting "Will you marry me!" and she said "Yes?" in a questioning tone and after she realized what she said she then looked worried but continued. "I will carry the weight of my words and since I said yes, I will marry you." I still remember the hostile and envious gazes of the doctors there and the miracle doctor's smirk as she pouted that day.

Even now I was surprised that her main job wasn't being a nurse but a professional maid and although it is prestigious in other countries, here in this small country they are being looked down on. My family was envious of me of marrying a beauty but most was against it because of her occupation as well as her mysterious background, missing father and mantally disordered mother .

They didn't know she earns way more than high class jobs but didn't believed when explained to them. Also I just graduated last year and currently jobless so they ridiculed me for early marriage. After the talks it was now in the afternoon, they said that they changed plans that instead of staying until night they will leave in the afternoon, I was planning on telling them about the enchantids at night since it's safer but I needed to tell them now since they are leaving, we rarely meet like this and they are family so I gotta warn them. Enchantids are hostile towards humans and once killed by them, they will absorb the body and the memories of the killed person will leave the memories of those who knew them and at times will be just a blank memory if there are clues pertaining to them.

I opened the automatic doors and and lead them in, I explained to them what enchantids are but they didn't believe me. I first took out a weak enchantid that is at the brink of destruction since it was left in a case full of salt. I poured some salt on it as smoke only appears if it is in contact of salt. They didn't believe me and that what I was pouring is salt in which I lick it and so did the others I knew well and accepted it was salt but believed it was just a chemical reaction, my fiance looked at me with worried eyes unlike those of my family which look at me mockingly or thought that I was crazy. Since this was the case I decided to risk it and opened one of the more dangerous and sentient Enchantid which looks like a broken doll in those horror movies. It was inside a vat of saltwater filled with a high concentraition of salt mixed in. I poured a ton of salt as a ton of smoke appeared as the doll shouted and cursed at me saying that I should die and let him absorb me so that the world will forget my abominable existence. My fiance looks extremely angry but she didn't look like she was angry towards me but towards the doll and my family was saying that I should be ashamed on trying to trick them and recorded profanities towards myself. They left one by one until what was left was my fiance with her black and white cat that was hissing towards the doll and my uncle.

My uncle told my fiance to leave and decided to have a word with me and which she obliged and left with her cat. Uncle then decided to shout at me to get my life together and get a job, although I get some money from saving people from enchantids it wasn't a stable job. He kicked the automatic door open and somehow broke the mechanism in which I didn't notice, as I was staring into space as I felt as if my actions today wan't worth it, that I should've left the existence of enchantids a secret towards them even if I was worried since I felt that I sense a presence of an enchantid targeting them and hunt them secretly. The doll then took the chance to move slowly into the sunlight and transformed. I felt a movement in the air but was too late, it transformed into a grey cat and ran out. I took a vat of slat water and ran out since it was too far from me I decided to shout towards the walking family members to catch the cat and just looked as if I was crazy, luckily my fiance's cat attacked it and since it was still weak it was managed to be pounced on by her cat. 

The enchantid was clearly angry and transformed its head into a lion and scared my fiance's cat. When she saw the lion head she didn't hesitate any further and kicked it into the air, grabbed the tail and swung it strongly as she threw it towards me. It landed into the vat and a huge amount of smoke appeared as well as a horrid screaming as if coming from a dying man was heard. Everyone flinched and to everyone's horror, they saw the cat with the lion head transform into the broken doll. Although it was late to say, this was the same doll that I defeated which led me to my fiance and even now I felt that when I saw her figure as she bravely threw it towards me that all my luck combined just so I could meet her and she was more than what I deserved.

They then decided to stay until the night since they were scared and made me explain more about them and what to do when they encounter it. Some family members were horrified that when I told them about being targeted and said I should come visit to protect them and hunt it down. As for my fiance she was smiling the whole time and was happy that thing worked out and for me, I felt like a stone huge boulder was off my chest and felt extremely relieved. They were reluctant to leave but left anyway and my uncle look at me apologizingly and said to me whispering if there are any enchantids targeting him in which I laughed, he looked quite embarassed as he left to his room. It was just me and my fiance sitting besides the table, she looked at me gently and said "I am glad everything worked out." and I replied "You were always my lucky star ever since I met you. I who was supposed to die but lived just so to meet you." she became a bit red but composed herself very quickly. We then went to her mother in one of the guest room and saw she was still staring into an empty space. She said she wan't like this in the past and her mental disorder appeared when her father disappeared one day.

I said to her mother "Mother-in-law, I promise to support her all my life and protect her with all I have." I said that with all my heart seeing as more and more enchantids are appearing in the world and I felt it isn't long before the enchantids are exposed to the masses. I will protect her with all I have since my life now when I am reborn belongs to her. She then corrected me "No, we will support each other with all we have and make each other happy." I was a bit embarassed and I glanced at her mother and felt like she smiled for a second...
