- Eclipse: Prologue Start-
----------------------------------------
The Hero and the Demon Lord.
Legends often speak of these two monstrous beings that can only be felled by one another.
A Demon Lord. A being of pure malice that commands legions of Daemons and Demonic Beasts. An existence that seeks to eliminate all other life on the realm. A terrifying being that spreads dread and despair to anyone who hears their name.
A Hero. The beacon of peace that is the only who who can truly kill a Demon Lord. Bards and Minstrels spoke tales of honor and valor. A being that can only be matched by the Demon Lord. A being that spreads hope to all who gazes upon them.
A hero can only be killed by the Demon lord and likewise a Demon Lord can only be killed by a Hero. Such is the Law of this world. Whenever a Demon Lord or Hero isn't killed by one another, they will appear once more after a decade. Whenever a Hero is killed by a Demon Lord (and vice versa) their souls are removed from the cycle of reincarnation, thus giving them eternal rest.
Legends speak that wherever these two beings clash the mountains tremble. Valleys gouged out from the very earth itself. Islands disappear and continents crumble.
A Demon Lord, blessed by the God of Darkness. A Hero, blessed by the Goddess of Light. Their existence are the anti-thesis of each other. Forever destined to fight against one another.
Demon Lord and Hero. Their fates are tied to the existence of each other. Without the Demon Lord, there cannot be a Hero.
This is the Law. An irrevocable system set upon this realm. The fate of the world rests within the hands of two individuals, one is the incarnate of Darkness and the other is the incarnate of Light.
And so the final battle was fought...
----------------------------------------
*clang* *shiing* *clang* *clang*
Swords clashing against one another. One shines in golden light and the other is shrouded in a cloud of shadows. Wielding these are the Hero and the cloaked Demon Lord.
Rushing against one another, theirs swords interlocked. Each trying overpower the other.
"Switch!"
Hearing the shout, the Hero leaped to the side as an arrow of pure light rushed past their ear.
But the Demon Lord simply cut the arrow with their blade and rushed towards the archer, however
"I won't let you! [Holy Ray]!!!"
With a battle cry, a Paladin intercepted the Demon Lord, releasing a beam of light from his outstreched hand.
The Demon Lord wasn't fazed and tanked through the attack, readying an attack of their own. Seeing this, the Paladin braced his shield for an incoming strike.
*bam*
The blade of darkness met the great shield, however the Paladin was sent flying to the side. The Demon Lord quickly moves once more towards the archer however, he leaped back as a blade struck where they once stood.
"Demon Lord Sitri, I ask you once more," The Hero said while slipping back to their battle stance," surrender and you'll be given a swift death."
"Why should I?" The Demon Lord answered, mirth lacing their voice.
"Maybe because you're outnumbered," The gruff voice of the paladin answered as he stood back up, "and it's no use buying time. The Inquisition has already dealt with your army."
"Ohoo~," a small smile crept up the Demon Lord's mouth," Oh really~?"
The Demon Lord disappeared in a burst of darkness and appeared behind the Paladin, their sword pressing against the Paladin's neck.
"We may be outnumbered but you are outmatched," The Demon Lord sweetly whispered into his ear and quickly jumped back as arrows of light struck where they once stood.
"Enough talk... Its time we finish this... Buy me time, I'll end this once and for all." The hero spoke to his comrades.
The Archer and Paladin gave out shouts of affirmatives as they moved towards the Demon Lord.
"Oho~? Readying your Ultimate Skill already? I'm flattered." The Demon Lord Roared as they met the Paladin's strike with their own, "Well then, Give me your best Shot!!!"
Blade meets blade and blade meets shield. A flurry of strikes came and all of them were either parried or blocked. The Paladin, true to its name, stood tall against a Demon Lord.
However bit by bit, the Paladin was slowly being pushed back.
Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
Seeing this, the Demon Lord further increased their already insane attack speed, now only a blur to the eyes of a regular human. The Paladin cannot react to this sudden change and was met with multitudes of attack.
'Shit!' The Paladin roared in his mind, 'if this keeps up I'll die!
However he was saved when the Demon Lord stopped their attack and jumped back to evade countless arrows of light.
"Thanks for the save!" The Paladin shouted while the Archer simply grunted in response.
Another volley of light arrows flew towards the Demon Lord however they swung their sword and a wave of pure dark energy flew, intercepting the arrows.
"Tsk!" The Demon Lord Clicked their tongue in annoyance as they muttered in a small voice, "persistent camper."
Just as the Demon Lord was about to move, motes of light suddenly rises from everywhere. The Demon Lord was stunned and was unable to move enabling the Paladin and the Archer to fall back.
Suddenly, the wisps of lights rushed towards the raised sword of the Hero.
"A f*cking E*cal*bl*st!" The Demon Lord spat out, "Very well! Let me also show you the power of my blade!!!"
The Hero eyes suddenly snaps open as he took a step forward.
The Demon Lord sheathes their sword and prepares in an Iaido stance.
"Divine Blade-"
"Blood"
The entire castle shook from the intensity of the magic power from the two beings.
"-of Purifying Light"
"and Rebellion"
Crimson aura danced with golden light as they pushed and trying to overpower the other.
"Coll-"
"Dains-"
"This is the end," the Paladin muttered under his breath.
"BRANDE!!!"
"LEIF!!!!"
----------------------------------------
A pillar of white light shot from the Hero's holy sword clashed with the wave of pure darkness from the Demon Lord's blade.
Darkness versus Light. Good versus Evil. The final act of fate is now being played by the only actors.
"Graaaaaaahh!!!!"
"HAAAAAAAaaaa!!!"
The two roared with their might, increasing their attack. The two seemed evenly matched. The light was devoured by the darkness and the darkness was purged by the light. The two attacks intertwine, resulting in a maelstrom of black and white.
"Purifying Rain!!!"
" Holy Meteor Shower!!!"
A skill. A power bestowed to humanity by the Great Goddess to battle against the natural Magic affinity of the Daemons.
[Purifying Rain] is a Paladin's skill that creates thousands of concentrated Light magic orbs that strikes the enemy while [Meteor Shower] is an Archer skill that transforms the arrows into meteors that rains upon the enemy, however this was instead imbued with the holy attribute.
Two skill hit the Demon Lord from the sides, disrupting their attack. The Hero seeing this opportunity, put more power into his attack. The Light increased its density and the darkness was slowly being pushed back.
"DAMN YOU HERO!!!!"
With that final bellow, the Demon Lord was engulfed by the Holy Light.
After a few seconds the light dimmed until it disappeared. The Hero's breathing was ragged and was shakily supporting themselves with their sword.
The Paladin and Archer noticed this and rushed to support the Hero.
"So, we finally won, huh..." The Archer said, their voice was filled with disbelief.
"Haah... haah... yeah... the war... is finally... over..." the Hero replied with a hoarse voice.
"Rest... Your job is over, let us handle the rest..." the Paladin told the Hero.
"Haah... thank... you...."
The Hero and his comrades were estatic. The Demon Lord was vanquished and the Daemons were pushed back to their realm. The world was saved.
"Yeah... Let's go home..."
As they were prepared to leave, a sicky sweet voice echoed throughout the hall.
"Aww~ That actually stung a little~"
Hearing this, the Hero and their companions immediately went on guard. The Archer readied their Bow and the Paladin unsheathed his sword while his other hand supported the Hero.
"Who's there? Show yourself!!!" The Archer yelled while notching an arrow.
They looked around, looking at any blind spots they might have missed.
"Mou! To think that you would just kill me off..." The voice reverberated once more.
Suddenly a black portal opened in the place where the Demon Lord once stood and out came the still hooded Demon Lord.
"pisses me off you know~" The Demon Lord said while smiling, showing off their vampiric fangs.
The Hero and their companions were stunned. How? How did the Demon Lord survived that attack? They were worst for wear but the Demon Lord looks unscathed.
Dread gripped their hearts. Is this how they will die?
Their victory was so near but was crushed by the Demon Lord standing in front of them.
"H-how?" The Hero croaked in disbelief. How did the Demon Lord survive the most powerful attack of the Strongest Holy Sword?
"That's..." The Demon Lord said, drawing out each syllable," a S-E-C-R-E-T!"
"So...what now?," The Hero asked "If... you're....going.... to kill me.... All.... I ask.... is to.... let.... my friends live...."
"Bullshit!!!" The Paladin shouted, " We've been through thick and thin! Don't Ever think that we'll run away!"
"That's right!" The Archer added, "If we're going to die, we're going down fighting!!!"
"As much as I enjoyed watching your drama, I don't have anymore time to deal with you~" The Demon Lord interrupted, "after all, I've got a bigger fish to fry..."
With that, the Demon Lord snapped their fingers and the three were restrained by black ice that spread to their entire body.
"W-who are you?" The Archer asked as she struggled against the ice.
"Oh right~ I forgot to introduce myself~" The Demon Lord said as she took off her cloak.
The three were stunned. What stood before them was a young girl of sixteen to eighteen years of age. She has a rather gifted figure and ebony skin with tribal tattoos running over her skin. A third vertical eye on the forehead with black sclera and crimson iris. Seeing that the Demon Lord was a girl was not the thing that surprised them.
No... it was the face of the Demon Lord (or Queen) that shook them. Brown Hair that reaches to her back and blood red lips. Mismatched eyes that mirrors that of the Hero's and a face that is similar to the Hero.
A face that was familiar to each and everyone of them. The face of a beloved, a friend and a sister. The face of a person that they all thought to be dead...
"HOW DARE YOU USE HER FACE!!!!" The Hero shouted, his voice filled with malice.
"To think you would go this far," the archer snarled, "truly your depravity knows no bounds."
"Guahahahahahaha!!!" The Demon Lord just laughed at their curses.
Intense anger rose from the Heroes. How dare it use her face and voice.
"Awww~ How sad..." the Demon Lord drawled out and suddenly spoke in a language not known to this world. ||to think that I wouldn't recongnize myself||
Those words rang deep into the Hero's mind.
How? How can the Demon Lord know that language? Could it truly be? These questions floated within the Hero's mind.
"W-who are you?" The Hero asked hesitantly.
The answer of the Demon Lord filled him with myriads of emotions. Fear, dread, longing, regret and many more. Each word made these emotions stronger
"I am the 41st Demon Lord, The Queen of Daemons, The No-Life Queen, The Inheritor of the Black Ice... Formerly known as the Moonlight Maiden and the Winter Witch... I am the First Demon Queen, The Mother of Monsters... I AM LILITH!!!" she said continuing in the strange language, ||nice to meet you again dearest big brother~...||
Tears ran down the Hero's cheeks. He looked down and shakily asks
"L-Luna?"
