"AHHH, GET AWAY FOUL BEAST!" screamed Chris, his heart pounding in his chest as he took a few steps back. "I MEAN IT, STAY AWAY! SOMEONE IN THIS GROUP HAS THE ABILITY TO HURT YOU... not me BUT SOMEONE."
Startled by the sudden commotion, Mya, stirred from her slumber. "Chris, what is all the screaming about?" she questioned groggily, trying to make sense of the situation.
"Oh my! It's a stegosaurus," Mya exclaimed as her eyes focused on the majestic creature before them. She got up and approached the scene, trying to understand the source of Chris's panic.
"Mya, thank goodness, please get this monster away from me," pleaded Chris, his fear evident in his trembling voice.
"Mya rolled her eyes gently and spoke reassuringly, "Chris, it's a stegosaurus, a herbivore. Yes, it might hurt you if it feels threatened, but no, it's not a threat."
Peering closely at the stegosaurus, Mya noticed the tiny, adorable baby stegosaurus standing beside its mother. Her eyes softened as she realized the reason for the creature's agitation.
"Ah, that explains it," Mya thought out loud, understanding the protective instincts of the mother stegosaurus. "Chris, she's protecting her young," Mya explained, her voice now filled with compassion.
Chris hesitated for a moment, looking at the stegosaurus anew. His initial fear began to ebb away, replaced by a sense of awe and admiration for the beautiful creature and its maternal instincts.
"So, you're saying she won't attack us unless we pose a threat to her baby?" Chris asked, still cautious but curious now.
"Exactly," Mya affirmed, "let's keep our distance and not provoke her. We don't want to cause any distress to them."
Mya, the ever curious and pragmatic member of the group, took a step towards the cave's entrance, her eyes filled with determination and a thirst for knowledge. The surrounding vegetation rustled and whispered in the gentle breeze, as if whispering secrets from a time long past.
"Where are you going?" asked Chris, his brow furrowing with puzzlement. Mya turned back to face him, her expression serious and resolute. "I'm going to inspect the perimeter," she replied, her voice unwavering. "If that stegosaurus put herself and her baby in danger by coming in here without knowing if it was a threat or not, that has to mean that there's something far worse out there."

Chris hesitated for a moment, his gaze shifting back to the majestic stegosaurus, now peacefully grazing nearby with her young one. He couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt for his initial fear and misjudgment of the gentle creature. "Alright, I'll come with you," he said, realizing the importance of being cautious in this unknown and ancient environment.
As they emerged from the cave, the world outside greeted them with vibrant colors. The bright blue sky stretched above, and the lush greenery of the prehistoric landscape surrounded them. Mya's warning to watch their step was heeded, as they navigated the uneven terrain and slippery rocks just beyond the cave's entrance.
"Do you think there could be other dinosaurs lurking around here?" Chris asked, his voice echoing off the towering walls of the cave.
"It's likely," Mya replied thoughtfully, scanning their surroundings. "If there are Apatosaurus and stegosaurus nearby, then there are bound to be more dinosaur species coexisting in this ecosystem. But there might also be other creatures, predators, that we need to watch out for as well."
Their eyes widened in awe as they absorbed the magnificence of their surroundings. The ancient world, preserved in its untouched beauty, filled them with both excitement and a sense of humility.
"I can't believe we're exploring in the age of dinosaurs," Chris said, the wonder evident in his voice.
Mya nodded, sharing his sentiment. "It's incredible, isn't it? This is a chance to learn and discover things that no one else has ever seen."
As they continued their cautious exploration, Mya suddenly stopped and grabbed Chris's arm, motioning for him to stay still. "Why?" Chris questioned, but then he noticed the large and intimidating silhouette of a dinosaur not far from them. His eyes widened, and his heart quickened.
"What is it?" he asked Mya, who had a serious look on her face.
"It's an allosaurus, from the late Jurassic period," Mya whispered, keeping her voice low. "And definitely not friendly. We need to stay quiet and slowly move away, so we don't attract its attention."
They followed Mya's guidance, retreating carefully without making any sudden movements. The allosaurus seemed to be preoccupied with something else, allowing them to put a safe distance between themselves and the ancient predator.
Once they were a safer distance away, Chris let out a sigh of relief. "That was close," he murmured.
Mya nodded; her eyes still focused on the allosaurus. "Indeed. It reminds us of the dangers that lurk in this prehistoric world. We must remain vigilant and respect the balance of nature."
“Should we go and wake the. others now" Chris laughed.
“Yeah, if you didn’t already do that with your bellowing” Mya replied mockingly.
