Letting out a heavy breath as he dealt the last strike, he felt a warm sensation strike his soul once again. Just like with the other demons, this one also provided him experience, which pleasantly surprised, yet terrified him.
Inside the fake trial, you wouldn’t get the experience after dealing with the beast, but here he was, receiving it without any issues. Prompting a question in his mind, Conall quickly dug through the bodies of the demon.
Surprisingly, they really were there. Four slightly different demon crystals shone in his hands before pocketing them into the inventory ring.
There was no time to admire the crystals. He needed to go ahead of him to get out of the forest. Thankfully, the small rift closed right after the four demons appeared, however, he couldn’t get too comfortable with his temporary peace.
He had to be prepared, even if a Grade B monster attacked him.
Traversing through the grand forest, he stumbled across many low-level beasts. From acting scared, they soon turned vicious and bloodthirsty as the sky above tinted a hue of red.
The way through the woods wasn’t anything abnormal, not until he reached the edge of the forest. No rifts appeared anymore, however, he wished they would.
Just as he was venturing past some of the last few trees on his way before the plains, the whole path in front of him turned to ash. Watching the wall of flame ravage the old trees before him, he quickly ran back into the forest a few tens of meters before inspecting the cause of the flame.
As soon as the flame faded, he could finally see, as well as hear it.
“Come here, you draconic swine!”
A female dressed in a mage’s attire pierced the air with her voice, standing in the air as though she was on a platform.
High above in the sky, a skeletal dragon-like beast swept away the black clouds with its wide and powerful wings.
Its glowing red eyes intensified as another breath of flame descended towards the wizarding girl.
With a big grin on her face, mana swirled around her arm and an equally great force of yellow energy charged at the dark green fire that melted the world around it.
Yet, despite its gruesome potency, the fire was truly put up against an outstanding spell.
The blonde girl screamed cheerfully, seeing her attack guard off the dragon. With a swipe of her hand, thousands of glowing, yellow stars appeared above her, as though she was in the midst of a dark night.
Flying through the air with speeds that made Conall see afterimages, the golden stars battered against the tough body of the Grade Ex demonic dragon.
Seeing the stars slowly shatter the bones of the dragon, the girl looked joyous, however, her face soon contorted as the dragon covered itself with its skeletal wings.
With the stars slowly fading, a completely intact dragon was revealed. The monster suddenly released a roar that shook everything around them. The trees bent as though they were sticks while Conall struggled to keep his balance.
A deep, dense red fire appeared inside the dragon’s skeleton. Once it took the form of a heart, the frame of bones was quickly being filled up with flames. In a few seconds, a dragon made of fire overwhelmed the skies.
Each flutter of the fiery wings created waves of condensed blazes that scorched the plains below it. Seeing this, the star mage furrowed her brows. Mana spread across her domain, agitating everything that came in contact.
A black, star-shaped sign hovered over her head before descending down to her body. Despite the dragon charging at her, she closed her eyes. As the black star appeared on her forehead, she opened her eyes, revealing the vast universe, filled with a plethora of stars inside.
Raising her hands, she made the otherworldly stars shine brighter. Conall watched as her arms flowed down, and with them, beams of deadly white lights, as though the stars descended down. Piercing through the demon in front of her, it let out a pained cry as countless columns of starlight bounded it to the ground.
However, before he could witness the remaining part of the battle, the ground around him shook tremendously, alongside his body.
Abruptly turning to the side, he saw the perpetrator of the earthquake. A golem the size of a small mountain ravaged the ground as it walked after the knight it was facing.
The knight in shining white armor stood on the ground, not affected by the tremor. Each of his strikes was precise, carrying boundless amounts of aura that traveled all the way toward the golem’s body. Trees that withstood the tests of time were cut down mercilessly, standing in the way of the attack.
Conall quickly concluded. He needed to get out of here as quickly as possible, lest a third Grade Ex beast appeared.
He didn’t care for the giants fighting with the beasts, he had to deliver the world’s seed to the king.
Taking a detour by going to the left, where the demons weren’t fighting, he ran quickly. Nonetheless, that also didn’t last very long.
“Woah, woah, where are you going?”
Conall stopped in his tracks, as he realized from both the pitch of the voice, as well as the dark energies behind him.
“Don’t you want to have some fun?”
He finally turned around and saw what was on one of the trees. Standing on the thick branch, a winged figure with long, black nails and pure white skin exposed its bare body. However, although the demon was naked, they boasted no genitals in the region.
Noticing his gaze, the demon covered the spot with a hand while making a surprised face.
“Aya, so direct, I’m guessing you are willing, after all.”
Although the demon in front of him was of Grade B, Conall gripped his sword tightly after unsheathing it. The necubus before him was a mental-type demon, focusing on the mind of its victim, be it female or male, transforming adequately depending on the time.
All succubuses and incubuses were merely a form of the demon he was gazing at.
“Aggressive and a mute, great. Just die already.”
The demon spoke while gathering purple energy around its right arm.
Unable to move to the side quickly enough, the dreary energy hit his body, directly where his head was.
Conall was devoured by the attack, his frozen posture showing it. The demon chuckled while seeing the cloudy eyes of the human. No matter what, humans were always weak mentally, even though they boasted the highest potential in the mind aspect.
The necubus jumped down from the tree. Landing on the dirt, the purple energy started to condense into the form of a dagger. Just as the demon was swinging at his head, however, it staggered back as something sharp had caused it to.
Was it possible to break out of a demon’s spell while being weaker than the fiend itself? Anyone in the world would simply say one thing. Impossible.
Then, why was the human stabbing a demon a whole grade higher than him? Countless questions arose within that horned head of theirs. Suddenly, anger arose in the demon’s mind, clearly expressed by the two facial halves, male and female each, showing equally great wrath.

Moving away from the sword, the small open wound in their neck healed quickly. Even though it wasn’t anything they should have been worried about, just thinking of the fact that the human broke free from the spell made the demon vexed.
Conall moved with ease and eerie calmness, as though the vision he was put under weren’t even there.
“What the hell did you do? How have you broken free?”
He didn’t reply and only stood there, waiting for the demon to move first. There was no way he could win by starting the bouts since the demon’s speed was like lightning compared to him. His only advantage here was that the demon’s power focused on mental attacks, so its quality of physical power was relatively lower than the average.
At the same time, the spells of the demon boasted higher strength, but he was already immune to mental strikes and debuffs.
“You!!! Fucking die!”
The demon shouted before charging forward, its wings accelerating the already fast speed. With the fact that they were barely a few meters away from each other, they reached him almost instantaneously.
A violet dagger pushed through the heart of the human, or at least the demon thought so since everything happened so fast. The necubus was stopped as the sword blocked the attack, though the man was pushed back significantly.
The demon continued attacking. Taking back the dagger, they were already delivering the next strike aimed at the neck. Conall slightly changed the position of his arm, quickly blocking the attack.
However, this was just the beginning of the nonstop barrage. Having blocked one thrust, another was already coming at a completely different location.
Not to mention, soon after, the demon also added purely physical attacks. With a sudden kick to the side, the demon sent him flying to the side before easily catching up to the body lying on the ground.
Conall gritted his teeth as he rolled on the ground. Although he put up his arms to defend himself quickly enough, the pain radiating through his broken ribs intensified.
Looking at the incoming demon, he quickly stood up, though the enemy was already attacking just when he was halfway done.
With its black feathered wings, the demon flew towards the human before letting go. Going at him like an arrow with their feet, the ground splattered under them, but the red-haired boy got away.
“Tch.” After the particles of dirt flying around settled, the demon clicked their tongue in discontent. Conall, on the other hand, finally stood up before already being attacked yet again.
The dagger followed its owner's motions, but the attack was constantly being pushed away with great accuracy, despite the lengthy bridge of power that separated them. It was because of that, that the demon was getting agitated.
It should have killed the puny human within the first strike ages before, yet here they were, still failing miserably.
As Conall withstood ten consecutive strikes, both from the dagger, as well as martial arts, the demon used its magic spells as attacks.
They swung the dagger and a crescent moon-shaped slash traveled with great speed at him. The attack, having simply phased through the body, didn’t pose much threat. What was the danger was the dense, violet dagger trying to behead him the next second.
"Ugh!"
Although, he wouldn't get killed so easily.
The demon felt pain as a blade pressed against their attacking arm, black blood slowly drizzled as the limb was reflected upwards.
However, what was different from before was that the wound didn’t regenerate that quickly. The demon looked down at his arm, only to witness an oddity.
A deep gash, going halfway through the arm and the bone. Although their eyes were fully black, Conall could still see deep hatred within them.
He had already receded his aura since the constant pain was too much to handle. The demon’s face channeled between different faces before it finally stopped when the arm was fully healed.
Seeing this as no longer a joke, they took on a stance, two daggers made of compacted, black energy appeared in their hands. Conall felt a different aura from before, however, he didn’t stagger one bit.
He would gladly kill the demon in front of him.
It was like the speed of the attacks doubled, if not tripled. There was no possibility he could hold out every one of them, so the attacks started to pile up.
Cuts littered his face and body after a while. Bruises and broken bones hid behind the academy uniform, however, he didn’t die yet.
Conall kicked the demon in the stomach, but they only lurched back a few steps before readjusting, sending a kick of their own. Blocking the hammer-like foot with his arm and sword, he saw the demon move its hand, trying to sneak in a lethal dagger strike, only to fail once again.
They were both tired and beaten up after fifteen minutes of constant battle. The human was slowly letting in damaging attacks, while the demon was slowly losing its regeneration speed.
Nonetheless, Conall stood proud, appearing as though he had limitless stamina. The demon, on the other hand, had lost its right arm, which didn't even try to regenerate anymore.
An awkward slash of a dagger came at him, followed by a punch to the stomach and a kick to the side, but he held on by relying on his sword as a shield.
Then, he finally saw it. The strike that left an opening in the demon’s stance. Carefully judging if it’s not a fluke, Conall appeared to be deflecting the strike.
The demon looked at the attempt with a sneer before pouring every ounce of strength into the thrust with the dagger. Suddenly, the human sword dropped, giving way to the opponent. Grinning inwardly, they went in for the kill.
Through the skin of the forehead to the bone, the dagger pushed through. Even so, in the middle of the skull, the weapon dispersed while the demon coughed up blood.
Shock filled its eyes as it stared at the calm, yellow gaze of the opponent.
Right through the demonic heart, he stabbed. The sharp blade of the fang smeared away its shininess with all the black blood it had collected.
Conall suddenly collapsed on his butt, unable to catch his breath correctly. His vision shook from all the tiredness and blood loss he experienced. Everything hurt. From the depths of his soul to the torn-apart skin and flesh.
He needed to sleep for some time. His eyes closed slowly. However, they opened abruptly and he stood up. He couldn’t rest here, not where high Grade beasts could be lurking.
After taking the demonic crystal, he sat down and took out some food from his ring. General, sweet foods to gain back some energy, as well as certain, specific foods like cooked and dried troll kidneys to speed up his recovery and blood production.
Resting for a little less than ten minutes, trying not to fall unconscious, he went out of the woods, seeing as the previous giants had gone somewhere else with their fights.
Numerous rifts in the sky, coloring it dark red. An army that stretched as far as he could see, all made up of giants. Battling against an equal amount of demons on the other side, he heard and saw hundreds of explosions on the demonic side every few seconds.
While showing off their magical might against the mediocre demons, the giant knights took care of the fodder at the front with the help of the archers at the back.
Putting his feet out of the forest, he ran towards the army, where he could probably get some help.
After a total of forty minutes, he had finally reached the outskirts of the army, where there were little amounts of monsters spilling out.
Immediately, as one armored knight saw the human roughly a third of their size, he called out to him.
“Human, get out of here. You will just get squashed by us in the midst of the war.”
His friends and subordinates heard him speak, prompting them to look over at the newcomer.
“A human? I haven’t seen one in decades.”
“That’s because they hate us.”
“Oh, shut up all of you.”
Suddenly, a knight seemingly of a higher position came out to greet the little human.
“State your name and reason for coming here.”
“Conall. I have a message I need to deliver regarding stopping the war.”
“And that message is?”
“It’s discreet. I can only speak with the general.”
Although the commander in front of him didn’t believe him at all, the human in front of him was only a Grade C being. There was little he could do in an army composed of Grade B soldiers in the least.
“Does he want to die? Who the hell does he think he is?”
“This is no place for some little pests, human.”
The bystanders sneeringly let out their voices, but it was the commander who gave the last statement.
“I can tell you aren’t speaking lies, however, I still need confirmation. I can’t allow you further into the battlefield if you aren’t able to do that.”
Conall looked at him for a moment before releasing the aura coming off the world’s seed from his inventory ring.
Suddenly, the Grade A commander’s eyes changed and he immediately instructed those around him.
“Don’t let any of the monsters break through the line. I will be delivering this boy to the general.”
As they made their way through the soldiers, killing off demons that sneaked their ways through the gaps, the commander asked him.
“If you had it, why didn’t you just say so?”
“There are too many demons in your ranks, I couldn’t risk it.”
“Damn it, don’t tell me. Was it the fur̃?”
Conall only nodded.
“I see, I will deal with them once I come back.”
The human didn’t reply, slashing his way through the weakest of the demons while going forward.
Finally, they arrived. In front of them, elite soldiers were gathered, slightly less than if not equal to the power of the commander.
However, while they battled the foe, the majority of them looked up in the sky, where a certain old, golden armored giant fought his way with a flying demon.
Using his aura in a way that allowed him to fly, the golden general swung his greatsword through the skies, lighting up the sky with a golden light that stretched far across. The draugr eagle in the skies couldn’t even croak in pain as its body had been separated in two.
Cheers and applause immediately reverberated throughout the watching soldiers as they watched their grand general descend from the sky.
However, seeing this, he wasn’t happy.
“What the hell are all of you doing? Get back to the front!”
Making way for the general, the people scattered away, going back to killing the demons.
With a shake of his head, the general took notice of the commander rushing towards him. As well as a human nobody? He had to squint his eyes to make sure he saw correctly.
“Fymial, do you want me to bash your head or something? Why have you left your soldiers?”
“Of course not, General, I came here with great news. Well, I only protected the newsbringer while guiding him.”
“This little C-trash?”
The general exclaimed, to which the commander grimaced slightly.
“Y-yes.”
“Don’t waste my time.”
With an infuriated voice, the general walked past them, however, he suddenly froze in place after sensing a special energy.
