It’s too dark… I don’t know when it all began, I taste the blood in my mouth as I try to take my last breath, I think back to when the war had not yet begun, I remember the people my friends and I help as we slaughter our way towards the impending doom. We could have won… no we should have won… I close my eyes but it was never opened in the first place, cause if it was I would have seen it coming

I feel a sharp pain as its runs through my whole body, is that mom?…. tsk why can’t she let me sleep for five more minutes. I pull the covers over me to signal my mom to let me sleep some more.
“Nist you will be late for school if you don’t wake up soon”
I throw the comforter as I kick myself out of bed, shit… shit… shit, how could I forget about school I rush towards the bathroom not minding my little sister who landed flat on her butt, I grin as I fly past her
That’s for hitting me while I was asleep” I said
“Ahg no fair” she said picking herself back up as she rubs her sore ass I shrug but stop as am about to walk out of my room, I look to my bed it a queen size with bed nothing special about it as I try to recollect the weird dream I had. I shrug again a s nothing comes to me
“Hmmm must have been my imagination” I said to myself as I leave to take care of my morning hygiene

I ended up giving my sister one of my pancakes cause she was still sulking even after this morning incident and a lecture from my mom, well it’s not the first time my sister has blown simple things out of proportion before you get used to it when you have lived with her for the whole twelve years of her life.
I am nineteen by the way so stop your wondering and I am a guy even if I say it a hundred time people still never believe me, my azure eyes and blonde hair do not help with my argument ether, I took up sports and fighting styles just to compensate for my girly features as my sister calls them. Whatever I just have to make a good impression on my first day at the University. I know no one really cares but I CARE…

My sister and I are about to finish breakfast, I have to drop her at her school before I can go to my own. We are both watching TV when a commercial for the latest VR game comes on, I believe the name was nexus or was it lexus. I don’t care, I was never a big gamer fan I turn to see my sister with big sparkly eyes as the watches the TV.
“Oh Boy” I say to myself
Athena you have those eyes again” a say to her as she turns her head towards me
What eyes she blinks her brown eyes she got from dad with long eyelashes she got from mom but no matter how hard she tries they just grew brighter.

Yep my sister is a big gamer and I mean BIG in a big way, I don’t know why maybe it is because she was born on the day the first VR game came out and I am always the one that gets short changed due to it. Hehehehe not gonna happen this time dear sister of mine
“NO” that the first thing that comes to my mind before she could back me into a corner
“Please” her big brown eyes look into mine
Tsk she still uses the eye power at twelve is that not like a cheat, I look away from her but I can still feel it… those eyes, it’s like they could melt the coolest of ice… don’t look… don’t look. I keep telling myself because once you look she gets you I stand you and start to clear my dish into the sink then I hear is it’s not loud but not silent either just the right balance of whimper I look up from the sink facing the kitchen island where we had breakfast and there it was the single tear running down her cheek, the quivering lips as they tremble like a scared puppy.
Shit I curse to myself I fell for it
Ok fine I will get you the stupid game” I told her just so I don’t have to go through this torture while I drive her to school.
She is about to jump up but I stop her “only if you tell mom about all you mischief for the past week and that mess you pulled with Rifid yesterday then I will buy you the game, and I will get you the complete gear if you do not bother me for the next month”
She stiffens up when I list out my conditions, got you now hehehe let’s see who will give up first. I see the contemplation in her eye that lost the previous glow and a new kind of light is ignited in them.
Shit what have I done I cursed to myself.
“Fine”
I hear the words before I could take back my offer as a wicked grin spreads across my sister’s face.
