As soon as castiel held the katana, he experienced the same feeling as when he practiced basic sword art for the first time. Like providence. It was like the katana was a missing part of his body and he never knew he missed it until he held it in his hand.
The katana was 3.5 feet long with 2.5 feet blade and a 1 foot handle. It was longer than what he could currently use with one hand. So a quick draw was out of the question with this katana for now. Fortunately, he is still growing height wise rapidly.
He tried infusing it with his mana to verify Leo’s words. To his surprise, he was able to infuse it with mana.
“So non-elemental mana can be infused. Give it a name.” Leo said. He was excited that such a good sword was going to its correct owner.
“Damocles.” Castiel thought for a while and named it after a fable his mother told him during the three years they were fleeing from the organization.
“This will be the sword that will hang above evil’s head, permanently. Thank you big brother.” Leo bowed again. He understood that a sword like this cannot even be procured by House of Desires. This might even be the sword that he will be using for centuries….if he has that long to live.
“Stop bowing. You called me big brother. This is what a big brother should do.” Leo was annoyed that Castiel kept bowing.
“....” Castiel got up. His focus went back to the katana. He carefully tied it on his belt.
“You can use it regularly. You don’t need to worry about attracting covetous eyes. It has no visible redeeming features. When you have time, ask a black smith to create a sheath for it.” Leo advised. Castiel nodded.
Soon, everyone could feel the airbus slow down.
Attention passengers. We have arrived at city #47. We will be docking in one minute. Please get ready to disembark.
“Good bye big brother. We will see each other again when I can walk under the sun proudly.” Castiel said with a trembling voice. He had to leave behind another friend.
“Raise your head. Never bow down to anyone except your parents.” Leo placed his hand on Castiel’s head and rustled his hair. This was the first time he was showing intimate actions. Castiel had not felt this much care for a long time. Care from Mei always felt like a sibling while Leo was the first elderly figure for him, after his mother
“Best of luck on your avoiding marriage escapades.” Castiel joked.
“I really need all the luck I can ever get. Bye bye Cass.” Leo also chortled.
After a while, the airbus finally docked.

The #47 hub was humongous. Several times bigger than what Castiel had seen in Bluefire. Just the hub alone indicated to Castiel how much more advanced a large principality was compared to others.

As he exited the hub, he could see a sea of people bustling about. Most of them were carrying scepter I with them. Scepter I is the older version of scepter II. It has the same lethality but higher trigger time. Air patrol frequently passed through his vision. Air patrol was very rare in Bluefire.
After asking around, he went to a decently popular blacksmith to have ten identical sheaths created for Damocles. He waited two hours for his order. He carefully put Damocles on one sheath so as not to damage it and put the remaining nine sheaths in a sack. He only spent five silver here.
Almost all the cities in the world are built around a spirit vein. Areas near spirit veins have much higher mana concentration. Spirit veins automatically replenish themselves with energy from the continent’s core. He took a carriage to the edge of the city in search of a mortal living area. He was not about to spend his remaining mana stones on a cultivator house.
Even the mortal area in #47 was more prosperous than the cheaper cultivator areas in Bluefire. He needed to temporarily spend the night somewhere before looking for a more permanent lodging. He asked the driver to take him to a decent hotel.
.
“Hi, I would like to book a room, preferably with a window side view of the street and as far away from other customers as possible. Also send the most delicious dinner after one hour.” Castiel made a request to the receptionist. Castiel had already removed his camouflage. He was still using the contact lenses to not attract too much attention.
The receptionist glanced at the weird customer before him. An elegantly dressed teen with two swords at his waist, an essentials bag at the other side of the waist, and….a sack of sheaths on his back. He quickly regained his professionality to not make this interaction awkward. Castiel acted oblivious to the receptionist’s expression.
“Welcome sir. You will have to pay one silver per night which will include three meals and frequent snacks throughout the day. This gentleman here will guide you to your room.” The receptionist explained cheerfully.
Castiel paid and made his way to his room with the help of a hotel worker. He took a bath, had his dinner, and went straight to sleep.

He woke up early the next morning. After freshening up and making sure Amelia was ok, he started cultivating. At around 7 in the morning, he heard a knock on his door.
“Sir, your breakfast is here.” It was room service.
He opened the door and gestured to the room service to come inside. The room service was an average looking woman in her mid twenties.
“Sit. I have some questions. If you can satisfy me, this is yours.” Castiel showed a silver coin to the woman. The woman immediately sat in a nearby chair.
“I am Castiel. What’s your name?” Castiel asked her as he started eating his breakfast.
“Alice, sir.” The woman was a little nervous.
“Alice? That’s a nice name. My mother’s name is also Alice. Calm down, I won’t ask you anything illegal.” Even though Castiel was a teen who was renting a hotel in a mortal area, years of living in Zechariah Mansion and his introverted personality had created a noble air. This was inevitably putting a little pressure on the room service woman.
“I need to rent a large villa which should have sufficient enough open space to practice cultivator skills. You don’t need to worry about price if the place is in the mortal area. Do you have any good suggestions for me?”
“You are asking the right person, sir. I have lived here since I was born. Give me some time to think.” Alice said as she started pondering. Castiel waited and continued eating his breakfast.
“The owner of this hotel is a rich old man who has a few hotels throughout the mortal area, he himself lives near the city center. He has a villa near the edge of the cultivator area which stays perpetually empty. No mortal is rich enough here to buy that villa and no cultivator wants to spend too much money on a living quarter at the edge of the cultivator area. You can negotiate with the owner if you would like.” Alice told him after thinking for some time. By now she had calmed down and Castiel had also finished his breakfast.
“OK. Get me in contact with the owner. This is yours.” He tossed a silver coin to Alice and didn’t bother wasting any more time. He asked her to leave and started cultivating again. He was going to wait inside the room till he heard from the owner.
