When the Demon spotted the boat, he was curious as to why the boat was here, because for centuries people have not gotten close to the island for one the barrier made the island surrounded by mist, and secondly the mist made sailors and fisherman call it the cursed waters. So sailors and fisherman never went near it, and there was a rumors of giant sea monsters that would destroy any ship near it. The demon went towards the border where the boat was located at, the boat on closer look, looked more like a raft instead of a boat.

On the raft the demon saw a woman who had fainted and a child wrapped in a towel. The demon knew that if he left them there, they would not survive another day in the ocean. He got a closer look at the 2 beings on the raft, the woman had blond hair, and a face that would be called beautiful. For the child since it was wrapped in a towel, he could only see the face and hair, the child had black hair, and a cute child face. The demon felt pity for the two beings that were on the verge of death, so he opened the barrier to his island, and used wind magic to move the raft closer to the island.

Once the raft reached the island, he was greeted by a golden furred wolf. he told the wolf to carry the woman to his castle, while he proceeded to put the child in his arms. As he was putting the child in his arms, the child opened its eyes and he noticed they were a dark shade of red, which was rare for the human race. The child looked as if it was in the most comfortable position and proceeded to close its eye and fall back asleep. Once they arrived at the demon's castle he took the woman to one of the rooms inside the castle, and laid her into a bed, after that he also put the child right next to the woman.

After a day had gone by, the woman woke up, and when she woke up she noticed she was in a comfortable bed and a room that looked like it belonged to a noble. when her eyes were wondering she remembered her daughter, she looked beside her and saw her daughter sleeping comfortably, and as she was scanning the room, near the door she spotted a man, the man had black hair, red eyes, a handsome face, yet the man's face also looked very fierce as well. The man was rather tall, not too lean, or too muscular. She finally managed to speak and asked,

"Who are you, where am I?"

After a couple of seconds had gone by the man answered,"

"I have been called many names in the past, but your race generally refereed me as a demon, and you are on the island of Dark Sol."

"Demon?, Dark Sol? Those are from a fairy tale to scare misbehaving children, now really, who are you."

"This island and I are no fairy tale, I have lived here for centuries. Now I ask you why were you on a raft near the part of the ocean as the cursed mist by your kind?"

"My daughter and I were pursued by many soldiers and the only way to escape was going near the so called cursed mist"

and when we arrived near the cursed mist, the soldiers stopped chasing us, and after 1 day had passed I fainted, and when I awoke I was here."

"Why were you chased by soldiers" asked the demon.

"The reason for the chase, was because of a legend claiming a demon with red eyes would bring the ends to a kingdom, and the legend was foretold by our ancestors through legends. For that reason alone, my daughter with red eyes and I were chased out of our homes, and pursued by the kingdoms army, and the only way to escape the chase was to go near the cursed mist, where even the bravest men wouldn't go near."

said the woman almost on the verge of tears.

"I see your predicament, and I will not force you to leave and if you choose to leave, I shall teleport you to a location of your choice. For now you are still tired, so rest for now. We will talk more once you wake up again."

Strangely she believed every word the Demon has spoken, and felt a sense of relief and started to fall asleep.

As the man left the room he called for the golden wolf, and told the wolf that the two he brought to castle were guest and that the wolf would protect them and warn the other monsters that lurked around the island. As soon as he said that, the wolf was already gone, and he started to walk down the hallway leading to his throne. The demon thought about what he should do, because he also knows the rumors that go on outside his island, many rumors are about the mana crystals that are located on the island, but most people don't realize is that the island was located on the cursed mist. He had no worry about that, and he started to think about what to do, should he ask the woman to stay and live on the island, or try finding a kingdom that wouldn't prosecute her or her child. The problem with the second choice is that, the rumor about having red eyes means that you are possessed by the devil or is the devil, and most kingdom wouldn't accept the child.

He blamed himself for a bit, because the rumors came from him, As he was the Demon with black hair and red eyes. After being lost in deep thought he heard a cry from the child, he went to the location of where the sound was coming from and saw the child crying, he picked her up and put her in his arms, and she stopped crying almost immediately and instead looked at the demon with curious eyes. The demon looked at the child and figured it to be around 1 to 2 years old. He carried her and showed her around the castle, fed her some fruits that were safe to eat, and showed her the monsters that inhabit the island. Although all the monsters on the island could be considered the most dangerous monsters in the world, they were all intelligent and knew that the demon didn't want the child to be harmed, so they did not show any aggression towards the child, and instead showed curiosity towards it. The monsters were all collected by the demon himself, he treated them as if they were family, and they returned the same feeling. So he knew he could trust the monsters on the island to not harm the child. After showing the child around the island in his arms, he went towards the castle garden and sat on the castle chair. and looked at the child. While looking at the child, the child's eyes were focused on something else, the 2 small red eyes were focused on the golden wolf that was resting in the garden a couple of feet away from the demon and the child. The child struggled to get out of the demon's hand, and once the demon let the child down, the child started to crawl towards the wolf, and once it reached the wolf it snuggled next to it and fell asleep almost immediately. The wolf didn't look too annoyed so the demon allowed it. The demon quickly gave instructions to the wolf once the child woke up to bring it to her mom, and left the garden to go back to the mother's room. As he went inside the room, he remembered when he saw her on the raft she had  a sword on her waist, which made him think, was she a soldier of some kind? As he was thinking about the woman, he saw that she was about to wake up.

When the woman woke up, the first thing she noticed her daughter was gone, after a quick scan of the room all she could see was the demon gazing at her and looked like he was deep in thought. She managed to mutter,

"W-w-where is my daughter?"

"Your daughter is in my garden sleeping with a guardian I assigned for her, She cried immediately after you fell asleep, so not to wake you up I took her away and gave her some food, she is currently sleeping in my garden with a guardian. You can look out that window and you should be able to see your daughter sleeping."

The woman went towards the window and just like the demon said, her daughter was sleeping next to a huge wolf with golden fur, which worried her, but she remembered he said something about a guardian for her daughter so she assumed the wolf was the guardian, and the wolf didn't seem like it would harm her daughter so she felt it was ok, but was still slightly worried."

"Now, let us first talk about what your decision is going to be, do you want to leave the island, or stay?"

"If I can I prefer to stay, because the news of my daughter's red eyes had probably spreaded throughout all the kingdoms and I do not think I would be able to keep myself and daughter safe at all times, while being pursued"

,said the woman who was looking at what the demon expression would be like after she told him.

"Ok, If you want to stay let us get formality out of the way, what is your name and profession?

"My name is Alice and my daughter's name is Lianna, and my profession was an adventurer."

"An adventurer, what is that?"

"An adventurer is someone who gets money by completing quests from a guild"

"I see, well as you know I am known as a demon, I have never named myself, so you can call me whatever is comfortable for you and I welcome you to my island, you can live your life here in peace and expect no trouble from the outside world, however I would like to ask you about the outside world as I was isolated for centuries."

"Since you ask, I will answer gratefully, Lets start with the Kingdoms, there are currently 4 kingdoms, The first kingdom is called Glacia, they are located in the north east, and the kingdom is surrounded by a mountains the second kingdom is called Gearhall, they are located in the north west, and the kingdom is inside a mountain. the third kingdom is called Forestelle, they are located in the south east and the kingdom is within a forest surrounded by giant trees. the fourth kingdom is called Forplains, the kingdom is located in the south west and the land there is flat, and the kingdom is located on a hill on the flat lands. Within each kingdom there is a guild, the guild is home of the adventurers, the guild gives out the quest to adventurers, the quests come from the people who live in the kingdom. Each quest has a certain rank to it. Just like the quests adventurers also have ranks, and the adventurer rank determines if he or she is eligible to take the quest. The ranks for both quests and adventurers go from lowest to highest, F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS. When you first become an adventurer you start at Rank F and the more quest you complete at your rank, you can go to the next rank, however once you reach rank B, to rank up you have to kill a monster with the next rank to rank up. Just like quests and adventurers each monster is given a rank. So a B rank to rank up would have to kill a rank A monster, but the rank B adventurer can have a party of 4 for them to rank up to the next rank. That is all I know right now."

, after Alice gave her explanation to the demon, he was thinking about what the explanation Alice gave.

"I thank you for the explanation and you must be hungry now, let us go to the dining hall. I shall tell your daughter's guardian to bring her there as well Also I left some clothes you might be able to fit in that drawer over there, get dressed and I will wait for you outside your room"

Alice was hurrying to get dressed, and once she was outside they walked through the hallway and reached a grand room with a long table made of fine materials. On that table was food that looked irresistible, as she was about to sit down, she saw the golden wolf with her daughter on the wolf's back, and quickly took her daughter from the wolf, and hugged her, as she hugged her daughter with tears falling down her face, because she found a place that would not endanger her daughter and could finally live in peace instead of running and hiding her whole life.
