PROLOGUE: GLISTENING FLAME

Flame crackles through the night sky As a quiet village called Avier turns into an erupting storm. Metal and stone walls fall as supports falter into the night. One by one a once lively village turns into a dead husk.

As the fire rages on, a man and his son awake from their slumber, in a room with two beds and a fireplace, to see an oddly pale figure, wearing a dark hood and dark clothes, holding an oddly curved blade. "ALEIND, THE BLADE!" The man standing closest to the figure screams in a deep voice.

The man is wearing tan robes with a black claw design on them. He has short orange hair and pale skin. And he holds a steel blade in his right hand. As he stands in front of the creature ready to fight, he gestures his left hand to the wall above his bed. On the wall is a blade made of a yellow energy.

It is shaped like a curved cross with a long straight edge made of energy and two shorter ones curving outwards just above the metal hilt. After yelling those words a man with long black hair and black robes with a yellow claw design, walks up to the mantle where the sword is held and grabs it. As he does that the creature from before attacks the man closest to him.

but with a quick slash of his blade the man in tan robes slices the creature in half. "You got the blade Aleind?" He says taking a glance back to look at his son. "Yes!" Aleind responds as his foot hits the creaky old floor, his yellow eyes watering due to smoke.

"Then let's go!" the man says as he opens the door. The two then rush out into the village engulfed in flame. Eventually the two reach the central plaza.

It used to be grandiose with a fountain in the middle and pathways connecting to the rest of the village. But now the fountain bleeds the blood of victims lost in its wake. The two stop for a moment but then quickly start continuing to the exit, until suddenly.

"RAZMONDIOUS!" a deep voice shouts as a man in bulking metal armor swings his hammer down, onto the man in tan robes. The hammer is big and futuristic and has what seems to be a rocket propulsion device on it.

As for the man his armor is clean and unbruised with a circular device on the back, similar to the device on The hammer, he has a slit in his helmet, so he can see that glows orange blocking a view on his eyes.. "ALEIND RUN." Razmondious yells at Aleind "how funny. You named your son after the ancient tongue for light." The man in heavy armor says to razmondious as Aleind watches in shock. "That's some chosen one bullshit if I've ever seen one." The man says pushing his hammer further into razmondious. "Not like I'd be surprised after all.. the goddess of light loves that chosen one stick." He says pressing it further down "who are you!" Razmondious says tortured by the pain. "I am well the new leader of the dark occult!" He says as he slams his hammer into Razmondious finishing him for good

He then jumps onto the building with surprising acrobatics.

"As for you I'll let you live, for now at least however note that if you pursue me I'll break your nonsensical existence into pieces."

The man leaves as Aleind mourns his father's death, In silence.

Aleind has heard stories of the dark occult since he was a child. They were an occult that worshiped the God of darkness and were in constant war with the light occult. For years they've switched powers and powers both committing atrocities to the other but Aleind doesn't know that, he thinks of the light occult as a religion and not what it truly is. His tale, however, will spark events from years to come. And that is why we shall follow this pawns tale.
