Chapter 39 The Necromancy Store

Chapter 39 The Necromancy Store

Walking out of the library, Aron's emotions were in turmoil. This was the first time he had come across any significant news about his parents. Even then, the information was pretty much useless at his level. "Huu..!!" Releasing the breath in his lungs, he composed his thoughts.

Taking account of his location, he turned around the corner to reach the necromancy department. There were very few classes in this department as the talent of necromancy emerged a lot less in individuals when compared to other talents like elemental abilities.

Walking down the hallway he found a familiar figure standing in one classroom, writing on the large board, explaining the concepts to the students. She wore tight black clothes that accentuated every curve of her. He stopped in his tracks to survey that pretty face, hidden behind strands of black hair.

Aron can feel his heartbeat slow down. Just a single look on her face was enough to deter all the distressing thoughts. He stood at the door, staring at the woman in black, bending over to write something on the board. Suddenly, Aron was very jealous of the boys in the room. Of course, it was his wild deliberation that everyone was just as interested in those firm buttocks. Yet, that didn't stop him from envy.

He wanted all of her for himself, completely. Everything she had belonged to him, just him. His crush on the woman had reached a point of obsession. Realizing that he hurriedly tore his gaze away. That's when he discovered another set of familiar faces.

Julia was focused on Mrs. Yana's lectures when Sophie nudged her with her elbow. "Look over there, we got the little lover of the princess hehe.." The blonde too noticed the lovestruck boy, staring at her teacher with unconcerned affection. From his clumsy reactions, she always knew that he probably had a big crush on the lady and it didn't affect her at all.

However, this time was different. The feelings emerging in her heart were so foreign yet so familiar. She didn't want to admit to it, at any rate. Suddenly her face flushed when the boy shifted his gaze right at her face. Glad to see them around he excitedly waved at their group. Except for Ava and Sophie, all the rest were too ashamed to even look back at him.

"Hmm?" Yana's sharp gaze located the discrepancy in her class. She was ready to scold the culprits when her gaze landed at the boy in the doorway, waving towards the girls in glee. Finding his actions extremely cute, Yana smiled and waited for him to leave.

"Ahem.. Ms. Julia, by any chance have you gone through these lessons already?" Her face still red from the earlier event, Julia stumbled while standing in attention. "No, Mrs. Yana." "Ohh.. is that so? Then can I have your attention while I am teaching?"

"Yes, Mrs. Yana. I will do that." "Great, enough distractions for now." By a wave of her hand, the door to the large class was shut. "Let us begin then. This warning is for everybody. In case you think you are too smart for the class, then please be ready to explain the next lesson to your peers." The students ahead of her dropped their heads, nodding in agreement.

Aron had walked away from the class, making his way through the familiar corridors. After a 5 minutes walk, he found himself in front of a large store, with a modest entrance. Having passed by this building every week, he had never been lucky enough to enter. Simply, because he lacked the sufficient funds to buy anything from here.

Pushing the door open, he entered to find the building largely vacant. In some distance, a man had his feet on the counter and a book on his face as he snored without any care in the world. Finding no one else in the shop, Aron walked up to the guy and called out for his attention.

"Hello, Mister." No response. "Ahem... Mister, you got a customer." *Rustle* The guy woke up with a jerk, checking all around. Aron smiled, having deliberately spooked the man. He witnessed the book on his face fall flat on the floor with the images of naked women in different poses.

"Who are you kid? Have you got any manners?" He bent over, casually picked the book, flipping it over he marked the page, and only then did he gaze back at the boy. Aron didn't mind feasting on a few images himself, replying with a shrug of his shoulders. "That was my fifth time calling out to you, old man."

He appropriately changed the designation after finding that the man was more on the older side. "Who the hell are you calling an old man, you pipsqueak? Can't you see how suave this handsome face of mine is?" The way the man expertly revealed his 'charms' by sweeping his long hair back, totally cracked Aron up.

"Yes, yes, I have never seen anyone like you, old man. Now, can you please take my order?" He ignored the seething face and took out his slip. "Okay, go ahead. Tell me whatever you need." The guy was a total actor, switching his expressions from rage to amicable within seconds.

Though a bit suspicious of this change, Aron began calling out the names, after every call watching the man nod his head. "Yes, hmm.., okay.., got it.., yeah.., ohh.., yes.. yes..!!" One by one Aron had called out more than twenty names, with the old man nodding every time.

"That's it. Can you get these?" "Hah? I think we have a confusion here." Aron's face stiffened. "I was telling you that all the items are correctly named in your list. You can bring it to any store outside and they will provide it to you."

The boy was left gritting his teeth. "What about you guys? Do you sell confetti here?" The man opened his book and began reading it again, giggling like a kid. "Oh.. of course, no. You see, all the items that you mentioned, just so happen to be out of stock today. You can certainly come again, tomorrow."

"You ran out supply specifically for these items?" Aron's face didn't reveal it but the boy was extremely frustrated from inside. The oldie replied with a firm 'no', his face asking for a beating.

Unable to think of anything, Aron was about to turn around and walk out of the store when another voice called out to him. "Don't waste your time on that petty guy. Come in, tell me what you want." The man's face twitched at the effeminate voice, but he didn't retort in any manner.

On the other hand, Aron excitedly walked in with a smug face. The store was quite large inside, following the lady's voice he found her meditating on one of the sections. "I heard everything, apart from the gall of Erier snake, we got everything else. Just tell me the quantity and I will fetch it for you."

The middle-aged lady had an oval face, just as sweet as her voice. "Hmm.. you are just a kid. Never seen you around here, are you a new recruit to the Academy?" Just like him, the lady in a bright purple dress was evaluating him as well.

"Not yet, but I am planning to become one." The lady looked surprised at his answer. "Ohh.. then how come you were allowed entry in the academy's premises?" Aron blushed a little. "Well, at the moment I work as a slave here."

That was when both of them heard a burst of loud laughter. "Hahaha... That explains it." The lady hurriedly apologized on the man's behalf. "Please ignore my husband. He doesn't mean it. That guy just loves messing around." Aron knew she was telling the truth. All this while the only emotion he had observed in the old man's eyes was naughtiness, not much different than a kid.

"You mean, you two are married?" He acted with all the right twitches of his face to show his surprise. "Yeah, is there something wrong?" "Nah.. nothing. It's just that you look so young while that guy...!" His words made the woman giggle, hiding her face behind her hand.

"I am listening brat! You dare call me an oldie again, and I am throwing your rude ass out of this place." Aron only made faces at the voice, making the woman laugh even harder. "Okay, okay, stop both of you. Please talk to me. Tell me the quantities." She jumped down from the counter on which she had been meditating until now.

For a second, Aron had nothing in his vision other than those two perky tits bouncing up and down. "Where are you looking, boy?" Her words were said in a taunting tone, making Aron blush heavily. "You are a beautiful lady, miss. I am sure you must have a kind personality unlike.."

He didn't complete the sentence, but sure heard a grumpy voice from outside the hall. "Haha.. thanks. The name is Rumi, Mrs. Rumi." Aron handed her his slip directly and the woman began picking his items for him. "So you are planning to cast a spell. And for someone as young as you, it might be your first one ever. Am I right?"

"Yes. Absolutely." "Oh.. great. It's always an exciting endeavor to cast the first one. It might be a bit hard to focus, but don't give up. Keep trying, sometimes kids take up to 20 tries before they can do it successfully. Aron neither minded the free advice he was getting nor the sexy body Rumi had put on display as she reached out for different tin cans on the shelves.

"If you don't mind it, boy.." "Just call me Aron." "Okay, so if you don't mind Aron, you told me that right now you work as a slave in the academy. So, did you save your money to buy all this?" It was only once in a blue moon that a slave can earn enough to buy ingredients from their shop.

Aron laughed wryly, how was that possible? Thankfully, he came across the treasure trove in the forest. Otherwise, he would still be saving his hard-earned money. "No. Actually, I was lucky enough to have a patron who sponsored me for the time being."

Having lived an impoverished life, the first lesson Aron had taken was never to let anyone know about your wealth. His words had intrigued Rumi. "Ohh... I was not expecting that. So? Are you a talented boy?"

Aron shrugged his shoulders. "For that, you might have to check with the girl who is doing the sponsoring. She never told me anything. I just need to work hard and not let her down." Although this was not the answer Rumi was looking for, she came forward to pat the boy on his head, impressed by his mature thought at such a young age.

"Nice. Then I am sure I will see you around more often." Aron gladly nodded his head. "Yes. Also, what about the last remaining item, Mrs. Rumi? Can I get it from somewhere out?"

"Hmm... if you can wait for two days, then I suppose we will get it by then. Otherwise, if it's too urgent then you might have to search outside the academy." "If it's only two days, then I will wait for it. May I have the total then?"

"Yeah, it will be 74 silver coins." With a nod, the boy counted the coins in his hand and handed them over. "Hmm.. these things are heavy. Do you want me to help you carry them?" Aron was very astounded at her offer. She was offering to help a slave carry his load. Did he have a lucky encounter recently? How come all the ladies he was coming across these days were all turning out to be so nice?

"Not required. I can carry them. Thanks for your offer, though. See you around, Mrs. Rumi." "Glad to do business with you." The lady watched the boy leave, following him until he left the store. "What a sweet kid!"
