Small Rotation 1

Small Rotation 1

With hastened steps Zhou Jinhai finally arrived at the house of his older sister and sheepishly knocked on the door. It didn't take long for him to hear some rustling coming from inside, and the door opened to reveal a young woman no older than 25 holding a baby in front of her chest. The young woman who would be considered a beauty was half a head taller than Zhou Jinhai, had long black hair tied in a braid that showed her married status, and was plump and healthy unlike the skinny Zhou Jinhai, but you could definitely see the resemblance in their faces.

"Jinhai.... what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be doing your chores right now?" asked the young woman with a frown in her face , but Zhou Jinhai only smiled and bowed.

"I've already done the chores for today, so I thought I would come to see how my nephew and my older sister are doing.....and you seem to be doing well." said Zhou Jinhai towards his sister which couldn't help but smile.

"Oh you....you have really changed little brother. Maybe you've become more mature, or maybe something else, but you really have changed."

"For the best I assume...

"Haha,of course my little brother, of course. Anyway , now that I think about it, it is almost time for lunch so why don't you stay? Feng has caught a big boar yesterday and it would be a waste if you didn't try some of it."

'Jackpot....

Zhou Jinhai's eyes shined for a moment as he heard those words, but he didn't immediately accept as it was considered rude in this world, but after his sister insisted a couple of more times , how could he refuse? Only a mad man would refuse something like that as eating meat for a farming family in this world was very rare.

As so, after he collected some herbs in the garden for his sister he busied himself to get some water for the stew that she would be making and even helped to start the fire. All this work he was doing was not only to get to eat the meat, but also to get in his brother in law's good side. His brother in law was no ordinary farmer of Du village as his family was , but a very powerful hunter. His skills were so revered that before he was married to Zhou Mei, his sister, marriage offers came even from nearby villages. This was a testament to his skills and prowess, and Zhou Jinhai would not squander this opportunity.

..........

Time passed slowly as the wonderful smell of meat that permenated inside the house tingled Jinhai's nose. It was so tempting that he immediately wanted to go eat it, but it wouldn't be proper until his brother in law came.

This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.

' Damn these rules, I want to fucking eat the meat.'

Fortunately Zhou Jinhai's wishes came true and not ten minutes after a man came walking in. As soon as he saw who it was , Zhou Jinhai sprung to his feet and went to greet him.

"Brother in law, welcome."

The man stopped for a moment as he saw Zhou Jinhai, but quickly smiled as he hugged him tightly "Haha,Jinhai....how good to see you here. How have you been doing? Hopefully you haven't slacked off your duties...

"Haha...of course not brother in law." Jinhai also laughed as he felt the man ruffle his hair. He wanted to smak his hand away as he wasn't a kind , as when he died he was 21 , but he couldn't.

"Husband, you're finally home. " quipped Mei as she happily tended to the baby " The food is ready, you only have to wash up."

"Mei....

Zhou Jinhai watched the love in their eyes and couldn't help but be jealous. A marriage with love was very rare as you would expect, and fortunately they were the exception. Fortunately the lovebirds didn't waste much time with greeting and in no time Jinhai was digging his teeth into the meat. It's wonderful juices flowed down his throat and the texture of it made his stomach rumble in delight. It was so strange that a piece of meat would bring so much joy to a man, but it was true.

"Mmmm... sister, your cooking is only becoming better and better." praised Jinhai as he looked at his sister and then at his brother in law."Sigh... brother Jie you really are a lucky man. I only hope I have your luck.....sigh......

"Haha hahahahahahaha.... little brother Jinhai, you really say your mind. I don't know if it's a good or bad thing."

"Hmph, I'm only speaking the truth."

"Haha.... well, I hope you find what you desire to." said Jinhai's brother in law, Jin Jie. Jin Jie was a tall man, about 185 cm tall, somehow burly, with short hair and emerald eyes. He had a somewhat childish face, but the small beard he grew made up for it.

Originally Jin Jie was not from here and had come with his father about 20 years ago. According to the rumors Jin Joe's father had been a soldier and the land where he had built his house was given to him as a reward, though it was only just a rumor. But the unspoken truth was that both Jin Jie and his father were unreasonably strong, some speculated that they were even cultivators, but none of that was proven.

As he ate to his heart's content, Zhou Jinhai couldn't help but think on how to ask his brother in law to teach him how to hunt because he would really end himself if he only was to remain a farmer doing backbreaking labor all his life.

As he was lost in those thoughts, a sound broke his concentration.

*Ding*

"Huh....

He looked up from his food and saw no one else seemed to have noticed, and then it happened."What!"

The world darkened in an instant and he found himself in a place words couldn't describe. Numerous, golden geometric shapes filled his vision like dancing fireflies and in the next instant all of them were drawn by an unknown force to create what he could only describe as a golden wheel. Zhou Jinhai was so confused by what just happened that the only thing he could say was "OK".
