The Heavens and Earth trembled as war waged on, the starry sky splattered with the blood of celestials, the five elements in disarray as space itself threatened to collapse. Lunar and solar power manifested itself, in attempt to contain the essence leaking from the battlefield.
"Hurry up and die already!"
"How pitiful the almighty Dao Paragon reaching his last breaths"
"Master of all five elements, let me help you be enlightened with the last Dao you'll ever learn- the Dao of Death!"
Eight tall, powerful-looking immortals circled the lonesome paragon. Faces mean and vicious, mouths contorted into snarls as they lashed out with their respective bloodline weapons. A flute that seemed to whisper the secrets of the universe, a seemingly ordinary whip calling forth heavenly lightening, a giant lotus seemingly manifesting the power of the nine seas. Yet even within these bloodline weapons there were those that seemed to shatter the void itself, a jade tablet seemingly controlling the very air that surrounded them, a gourd that imitated the Yellow springs of the underworld, a drum that seemed to make the Heavens quake in fear.
However all these bloodline weapons paled in comparison to the distinctive weapons of an Immortal couple, a shield basked in heavenly light that appeared to have the power to push back demons to the depths the came from. The shield however was simply complementary to the bloodline weapon of the chief immortal, a nightmarish sword bathed in hell fire descending upon the heavens itself. These weapons were truly embodiment of the immortal path- a path that defied the heavens itself.
"Is this how you repay me...? I raised all of you; you were closer than blood to me- and this is how you treat me?" The Dao Paragon struggled to bear the brunt of this attack, falling to his knees he begun to mouth words, words that were soon a mere whisper yet his voice carried on climbing. "Glorious heavens, my elemental counterparts- embody me with your might and use my immortal body as your vessel; unleash your rage such that the heavens itself will be sundered"

"You're insane!"
"You must be bluffing; a forbidden magic like that using an immortal vessel will destroy everything!"
"Old man- don't be stupid, there's no way you'd end your life to kill us!"
The Paragon slowly started to rise in the air; the five elements like a mother sheltered him. Roaring flames emanated off his skin, vortexes of air circled him, and the very earth rose to meet him. A metal sword formed from all the earths' ore beckoned forth to be his weapon, whilst trees shattered all bloodline magic, rendering them useless.
"You're right; I won't end my life to kill yours. Everything I gave you people was mine, I saved you from the devils of the 33 Hells, and I taught you elemental magic, even giving you unique bloodline powers. Blood slowly started oozing out of the Paragons mouth, wiping it he continued...
I, Jie Shui who was formed from celestial water started with nothing; I rose up and spent millennia's to eventually become the sole Dao Paragon- Lord of the Heavens and Earth; yet this is my end? Lü Dongbin, you were the first child I found. I gave you everything you ever wanted, taught you my most prized celestial magic, yet you orchestrated with the other seven to kill me. Children let this than be my parting gift to you, till the day that all eight bloodlines are united in one, you shall suffer eternal damnation as your blood is scattered between all your future clansmen". Blood was now visibly draining from the Paragon, as the five elements began to collapse he continued.
"3000 Dao's answer my souls will, I as Lord of Heavens and Earth decree that from here on out, the eight perpetrators of Heaven shall face eternal damnation unless there is a unification of all eight bloodlines. Sever the path to immortality and bind the elemental law, no cultivator shall be able to cultivate more than one law. Let my immortal cultivation be the price- SEVER!"
The eight immortals unanimously screamed curses and pleas, yet the heavens had spoken and celestial light formed from the paragon's body; encasing them in perpetual animation for time to come. The Paragon however simply coughed out blood as he fazed in and out of consciousness. A gentle murmur could be heard- "Goodbye Children- I hope we meet in another time" and then a deathly silence plagued the lands.
