It started with someone leaking surveillance footage from a shopping mall where 3 people just disappeared.

the internet, of course, claimed that it was fabricated.

but more and more people began to add similar stories on to the post with names, places and dates

so as a bit of indulgent fun he put all of it on a map.

names, places, dates.

every three months for at least 6 years an ever-increasing number of teens to young adults would disappear. like clockwork

it was spread all over the globe too. but see that was the interesting part.

it gave daniel access to A LOT of data, how the barometers around the world at the location of the abduction sites would sudden start to drop exactly half an hour before someone would disappear

how they would spike exactly 1min and 33 seconds after

how when he went to the sites all over the world and measured them he would find an increased amount of gamma radiation.

he had been kicked out of a lot of shops and even a few countries had banned him on the premise of spreading fear in the general populace.

and what daniel had learned was that the pattern moved, it seemed random at first. but all patterns are random until you figure out its trick.

you see according to Daniels calculations A Spot Of Disappearance would open just outside the west coast of Denmark, his home country so he had bought a boat and fitted it with cameras transponders, the whole shebang. and it would show the world via Youtube, Facebook, twitch and as many live streaming services as humanly possible the greatest disappearance act in the world.

he had packed a bag of essentials for whatever would be on the other side. extra clothes, his laptop full of instruction manuals, on how to live in the wild. 2  external hard drives 1 with a terabyte of music and one with a terabyte of isekai anime plus or other cartoons such as Avatar, TLA and LOK, which was his favourite. As well as any form of story about surviving in a new world. A small steam engine that could charge his laptop (because who would bring electronics into the unknown without a way to charge it). 5 days worth of rations. he had also had a packet of seeds as well as a guide to how one would go about planting them.

for weapons, daniel had packed his hunting rifle along with a katana he had bought before he started investigating the A.S.O.D cases. his police fathers service pistol and a Pump Action shotgun he had obtained through less savoury means.

For protection, Daniel was wearing biker pants, jacket, gloves and Boots.

because one minute he was walking around on board his ship, rambling to his online audience. while a digital clock counted down in the background.
