Hey everyone,
I would like to use this chapter to clarify some aspects before jumping into the story.
Whilst I officially have this book “planned out” (14 chapters, it will still be able novel since they're planned to be like 4000 words a chapter), I know myself and will probably add some interlude chapters with different perspectives and even in the chapters themselves I'll edit a lot when all is said and done. See it as a first manuscript.
This book is more or less a hobby, where I want to try and better my writing skills and my English so if you notice anything you would do differently be sure to comment on them.
For spelling checking and grammar, and punctuation I will be using AI. I do specify that it shouldn't change anything else since it feels dishonest. Schedule wise I don't have anything planned, I'm a last-year uni student so it varies when I will be able to write.
If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
this is the prompt I use in ChatGPT, but I might switch to something like Sudowrite which is more aimed for authors.
Chatpgpt correction author prompt.
1. Think as an author, this isn’t made for a school essay.
2. Do not add anything unless needed to correct something.
3. Correct spelling and grammar mistakes.
4. DO NOT CHANGE THE TEXT unless for a mistake.
5. Keep italics when written.
6. “ is used for speech, ‘ for thoughts’ and italics either to accentuate certain terms or when spoken in the past.
I want you simply to correct, not necessarily to have your input. Also give me a short overview of the changes you've made.
I've found it working fine unless, you ask continue. You do have to constantly remind the ai that you don't want anything additional.
Warning
This book will have sensitive issues such as torture, gore, rape and will focus on depression and self-loathing as well. There is a scene planned where torture will be described, the other three rape, depression and self-loathing are more insinuated and will not receive too vivid descriptions.
I hope you enjoy it, and I personally hope as well that I might finally finish a project.
See you all and may the dawning sun smile upon you!
