"Your deeds have earned you a gift, and a star is falling."
I'm curious what it will be, as I've just installed the first glass window frame for the hut, with totally okay glass. I shout "Incoming Star Fall!" and grab my kit before I hurry up the stairs to the balcony and cliff top. Shit! Xuela isn't back, and Reiley and Bokyli might be over by the high fields planting or in the jungle. I repeat: "Incoming Star Fall!"
I hear Koru repeat the shout as I scan the sky while hurrying over to the stairs leading down to the cliff work area and community hut. There! And blue! Yes! I point and say:
"There! Blue! High and close!"
"The Mighty Spirits have once again seen fit to reward you!"
Koru is grinning and looks really proud. She of course have learned that we have been rewarded before and have so many Star Falls due to bonuses, and that there also are blue Star Falls, although we are not sure of the meaning. Getting this many Star Fall items is actually starting to feel like cheating, but I sure won't complain. We watch the Star Fall descend and it lands in the jungle below and should be easy to find, but I've taken a heading and so have Koru. It is cloudy and we expect rain, so I might as well kit up and hurry down there.
----------------------------------------
Bokyli comes leaping and bouncing down the trail from the ridge as she too heard the message before they saw the Star Fall, so I guess there is a gift for her too. I have a feeling it is red. Bokyli is giddy and bouncing and leaping with the occasional excited sound and hug, but we wait for Reiley to catch up before we go looking. It doesn't take long to find the Star Fall lying just on the other side of the creek we are collecting iron from. Reiley and me secure the area as Bokyli cut open the Star Fall. There should be something for her so I get her eagerness. Bokyli squeee when she opens it, as on top of several coloured packs lies a bow and arrows.
"Look! Look! A bow!"
A gesture is all Bokyli need to calm her excitement enough to start placing the other items in the rucksack. We head back up and we are all curious and excited. The camouflage bow and 16 sharp nasty looking arrows with wide red ribbons feels like an obvious reward for Bokyli that have now made her second duel kill alone, and beside using a bow this time, she also used her bow a lot during the Salt Boon ambush. The camouflaged bow, quiver and the arrows, really match the look of the coverall and my newest crossbow kit. Reiley obviously is a bit jealous, but there seem to be no question in her mind that the bow is Bokyli's, and Bokyli is so happy for her new bow. Bokyli literally bounce and jump all the way back up. More than she usually do, and I think she's been holding back.
We have no idea when Xuela will be back, and it was me and Bokyli that got the notification, so we open the packages in the community hut. The first package is a green one that turns out to contain two water bottles filled with some kind of powder, and two careful quick wafting sniffs like I'm handling dangerous chemicals leads me to take better sniffs. And better sniffs. Something grill slash barbecue smelling? And pepper? Spices? Spices! Bokyli confirm that her 'Nutrition' basically show empty bars except the last one that we think is 'importance', but that applies to her. Spices! SPICES! MUAHAHAHAH!!! I'm so happy I almost cry, but better to not celebrate in advance as it is a gift from those damn alien bastards, and they might just be messing with me. Or have laced it with laxatives or something nastier. The next package is red and bigger ... and I just look at Reiley as I take out a lacy maroon bra.
"I didn't pray for more sexy lingerie!" Reiley actually look completely sincere. "I didn't! Honestly!"
Bokyli have side-stepped towards me and gingerly take the lacy bra and package from my hands without saying anything, and hold it against her chest while side-stepping back.
"You have Pray?"
"No, but I thought it worth it to try."
I face palm. Yeah, those damn alien bastards must be laughing their ass off. Again. I guess there is different kinds of rewards and bonuses. Actually, I hope Bokyli didn't goad the man into attacking her just to get Star Fall stuff. My thoughts change track as I see Reiley's look at Bokyli curiously taking out and examine a fetish looking corset with an intricate and decorative pattern... This is gonna get really complicated, isn't it? And why the hell is lingerie in a red package? Wasn't Reiley's in a white? Is the package colour just to signal it is a reward for Bokyli's bloody kills? The red Star Fall might be mainly for drawing blood and killing, and not the content being weapons, armour and so on. That bra, panties and corset sure isn't armour...
Oh, please tell me that corset isn't armour.
Hell, that would probably be extra funny for the damn alien bastards as Bokyli would wear it all the time, and even Reiley would reluctantly want her too. I just reach out and feel the corset material. The corset sure doesn't look like our camouflage coveralls and more like something a dominatrix's plaything might wear, but the transparent material with dark brown patterning sure feels like the armour material, instead of the thin lacy silky feel the maroon bra have that Reiley's lingerie also have. It really feels like armour material even though much of the corset is basically see-through with dark brown fake laced up parts, flourishes and so on. The dark brown kind of look like shiny leather or something and there are plenty of decorations, so the damn alien bastards have been having extra fun. Although see-through on Bokyli means it won't stand out too much in nature instead of being all dark brown or black, bright red or hot pink or something. Some of the decorative flourishes actually make loops like for a belt or could be used to attach gear or greenery like I've done to my hat, which might or might not be a coincident. Even though the corset will offer limited body coverage, it will protect many of Bokyli's vital organs plus her groin, and she heal fast from most wounds. The neck strap obviously makes a type of boob window by crossing in front before looping around the back of the neck, but it should mean that the corset and her boobs will stay in place as Bokyli bounce and move. It sort of match her X style tied on thingy. The corset would be far better than no armour at all for Bokyli, and if it really is armour, it is a good red Star Fall, just compromised in coverage to be in a sexy format for a human.
Shit. It feels very unlikely that the damn alien bastards would reward Bokyli with two good red Star Fall gifts, unless she did something vicious that they really liked. Shit. I notice Bokyli's happy and pleased smile that I feel her gifts material and flourishes, and Reiley is not looking happy that I do. Reiley will probably be unhappier no matter what I say.
This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.
"Yes, this looks like some sexy female lingerie corset from my world, and the material might be partially see-through, but it came in a red package and sure feels similar to our camouflage coveralls. I think it is armour."
That change their expressions, and Bokyli is quick to do a couple of non-damaging striking jabs that proves the corset stiffens on impact and behave just like our coveralls, and very carefully she try to make a cut and pierce with her knife on a non important flourish. Yeah, it's armour, and Bokyli is over-joyed and can hardly contain her happiness. Damn alien bastards! Reiley have a really controlled voice as she state the obvious:
"That is armoured lingerie that you will wear all the time, while I wear the camouflage coverall."
The silence is deafening. The camouflage coverall is far better protection for far more of the body, but I don't think Reiley cares about that right now. So I move on by opening the next package which is a large white package containing 8 sponges and 16 bars of soap. Bars of hard soap that look and smell like really modern and good bars of soap, and there are even different smells. Sure, we have soap, but it is being spent, and it is work and time to make more soap, and it takes time to solidify and doesn't really get hard, although salt did help. We have made more, but these seem to be vastly better. I too love the soap, but I also like the sponges. We will all get our own sponge for showering and bathing, and a bar of soap of a smell we like. Each kitchen will also have a sponge, and the remaining bars of soap will be used as rewards or something.
The last package is a weirdly shaped blue one and what I assume is mainly for the glass, and turns out to be; glass-working tools? There is a blowtorch looking thing that reminds me of the lighters, but way bigger and the long blue-white flame means that the flame is really high temperature. I assume it recharges from sun and air as it have those symbols. There is a type of scoring or cutting tool, and pliers, plus a pipe that is screwed and snapped together, so I guess for blowing glass? There is also two of those eight sided containers like the ointment came in, but these are in blue, so it might be polishing compounds? It's two different symbols, but I will figure out the symbols eventually.
Honestly, the hand torch thing should be kind of effective to start fires during a fight, or cut through things. I might be able to make a short range flame thrower add on. It will help in metal working too. I might be hot enough to melt and rework the Star Fall metal, but I have no real need to try it. Yet.
Reiley is not happy, and before she leave to continue to work on the high fields, she whisper that she is really starting to understand my position and thoughts about the Spirits. Before Bokyli joins her, I ask Bokyli to wait for me in the hut. As I reach the loft I see Bokyli sitting kneeing with her legs folded up underneath her on the bed, in just the maroon lingerie and some kind of choker she must have made from red packaging and gold jewellery. Okay, Bokyli might have gotten the wrong impression of why I told her to meet me here, but she is looking very sexy and happy, and those damn glowing irises draws my eyes like magnets. I'm not even bothered by her excited tail swaying behind her. So, it's better to wait until after the sex to kill the mood.
----------------------------------------
Holy. Crap.
This was absolutely a case of her fucking me more than anything else. As Bokyli is again lying against me taking the occasional deep and content sniff of my body, I ask:
"You got two really good red Star Falls, plus a lovely lacy bonus. Considering what others have done to get just one such reward, and you got 16 arrows like me instead of 8 like Climber got for his bow, it unfortunately makes me wonder if you have been really honest with me about the people you killed."
Bokyli is silent and take another deep sniff before resting her head against mine.
"I was attacked and we fought, but my people usually don't fight to the death. We try to go for arms, legs and incapacitate as we heal from that, and she surrendered when she understood that she couldn't fight any more. I don't think she would have survived the wounds she received, as people here can't change or heal like my people. But I didn't take the chance. She was an enemy that might be a future danger. We didn't know about bounding oaths or had that healing ointment, so she would have been a burden as she spent weeks or months healing, and she might still have died a painful death from infection or never gotten whole again to repay her debt. So I ended her suffering." That is logical and sounds okay, even though I think Bokyli have skipped important details. "My decision had nothing to do with her being pretty like Reiley."
Like that one. I guess Bokyli is rationalizing her decision after the fact, when in the moment and adrenaline, 'pretty' and Bokyli's growing need for sex probably contributed towards her decision, and that she disposed of the body before I could even see it. But that shouldn't really give Bokyli those two red Star Falls, so how bad was the killing of the man? I haven't figured out how to ask that when Bokyli take another deep sniff that makes her shudder with pleasure, and with a content sigh she continue:
"The man was a stupid dangerous poop hole that didn't deserve to live. But, he also was a man used to lead. Reiley and me don't want any other leader than you, or any conflict about who is the leader, and Xuela agree. You will also be the only man here. I am changing for you, and only for you. Another man will threaten that change. All that meant he had to die, so it's good that he didn't leave much choice. A strong tribe is always built around a man and his family, that is later joined by other families, wanderers or conquests."
Bokyli's voice have changed into statement of fact. And I have no clue how to respond. Certain things about what Bokyli have told about her culture and tribes click into focus, but also that her change really seems to affect her mind. I don't know if Bokyli and her people understand the evolution that might be behind that. Or if they care. It can be me over thinking it, but it might be a survival instinct amongst her kind. If a shipwreck of survivors wash up on a distant new shore, how would they react? Humans would react differently depending on the shore, climate, expected civilization close by, male-female population and the peoples personalities, but I have a feeling that if Bokyli's kind washed up on the same shore, in one way or another, just a single man would survive, and that would quickly be the start of a new family and tribe. That also fits with eliminating the enemy woman, since she would be a burden to resources. Bokyli's kind is used to being hunted by large predators, so anyone that doesn't keep up or is a burden dies in one way or another. Killing can be a mercy, but Bokyli's killing of those two people can be questioned. There is also the fact that the damn alien bastards rewarding Bokyli for killing might entice Reiley, Xuela and Koru to be more vicious against others. Envy and jealousy are powerful motivations. At least for humans.
That also means that any man we run into will 'not be welcomed', and I wonder if Xuela have been completely honest about not finding some people, or just having judged them as men; have left them to their fate or worse. Xuela seems to have no issues with killing and being selfish, and it wouldn't surprise me to learn that Reiley, Xuela and Bokyli have agreements that I don't know about. Koru should probably be happy that 'she' looks and is classed as 'female', and is oath bound.
We can't rest all day and we got work to do. Since I 'know' how the corset should be worn, I agree to help Bokyli adjust it to her body. Yeah, her intentions are kind of obvious, and admittedly it is nice to dress her up as Bokyli make sure to press parts of her body against my body or hands. The corset use the same overlapping solution as the camouflage coveralls, but it does not have a huge adjustability, so there is no way to make the corset cover more and become less sexy, but it will adjust to boob size and waist size. Hell, the damn groin piece doesn't even need to be attached, but it splits in the back so Bokyli's tail can poke out. In the end, this is designed to be a sexy combat corset, but at least it is not some computor game high level combat bikini. After the third groin and tail adjustment it's clear that Bokyli just want me to caress her tail and body as she wiggles her butt in front of my face, and she also wants my help in adjusting her neck strap, which she absolutely could do herself. As Bokyli happily bounce around to try it out, I'll admit she looks damn good wearing it, and let her know it. Then again so do Reiley in her camouflage coverall.
