TLDR: Going to do an extensive rewrite of the first book and write the remaining story of the current group of characters. Once that is finished I'll start uploading on RR. Unlikely to be soon, but once I start posting you are guaranteed that I'll keep going until the end.

I started writing this novel completely blind. Never watched a guide on how to write a book, and never participated in a writing workshop. All my knowledge of storytelling came from reading. My writing reflected that. (I'm not counting the short fan fiction stories I wrote 13 years ago)

In the last month, I've been voraciously consuming guides, lectures, and books on how to write.

This made me see many areas where I could improve the current story. Especially when it came to prose, maintaining tone and character consistency. These issues were made worse by the fact that I had no idea what I wanted to do with the characters when I first started the Writathon. Heck I was planning 20 chapters for the first major arc initially, now it looks like I'll hit at least 50 and at most 100.

So I'm doing a rewrite. No more silly fridging, that was just bad writing. No more chapters that aren't pertinent to the plot. Certain characters are getting tweaked, some more than others. A significant change in the story after reaching a certain point... New characters and new plot developments.

Despite all these changes the premise of "stealing the corpo ships" remains the same. And most of the characters are unchanged. With some of them playing a more significant role this time around.

Unlike the rush of Writathon, I wish to give the story the time it needs. Therefore I will be writing it first, and only once it's finished will I start uploading chapters on RR. This way I'll be able to keep posting consistently until the end. To clarify, with "the end" I mean the conclusion of the events involving the current party of characters.

Since the story will be so different I might upload it separately and leave this first draft here. Or I'll just upload it here and delete the older chapters.

Either way, I'll hopefully see you again once I finish writing.
