During a bright morning on a school day, a girl walked alongside a street in deep thought while heading to school. Suddenly, another girl jumped behind her and yelled, “Good morning Yuki!”
She then waited patiently for the girl to respond, but she didn't react. She repeated herself before asking, “Yuki. Yuki. Can you hear me?” She was finally able to get her attention, as Yuki looked at her.
She answered, “Sorry Rume, is there something?”
While looking at her with an astonished expression on her face, Rume replied with an inquiry, “Eh? What's going on Yuki? Is everything okay?”
Yuki finally grasped her senses again, so she said, “Nothing’s wrong. I was just thinking about, how I did on my midterms?”
Rume then stared at Yuki, with doubt of what she said. She said, “What do you mean Yuki!? You're one of the best students in our entire school!”
Yuki thought, ‘I shouldn't talk about what happened yesterday, It’s bring more harm than benefit.'
Yuki decided to forget about it and changed the subject as they walked to the school gates.
The bell rang, signaling the start of the school day. As time passed, their lunch break arrived. Both girls chit-chatted until reaching the cafeteria, and when they arrived, Rume spoke, “Let’s sit here Yuki!”.
Looking around as she sat, Yuki unexpectedly saw a familiar face that startled her. She felt anxious while remembering the things that happened the day before. She then thought, ‘What brings that boy here, does he go to my school? How come I didn’t notice him before? Ah, he was wearing PE clothes back then!’
Suddenly, their eyes met and he smiled at her. When he did so, she felt shivers running down her back. Trying to comprehend the situation, she looked down timidly. At the same time, Rume was observing her and noticed who she was looking at, so she asked, “Hey Yuki, do you know Aries?”.
Yuki was alerted and said, “Aries? Who's that?”.
Rume followed up by saying, “Oh, you don’t know that boy? Why were you looking at him with such an anxious face then?”
Yuki thought, ‘So that boy’s name is Aries. I wonder why Rume looked so excited for some reason.’
Energized, Rume said, “Is it love at first sight?”
Enraged by what she said, Yuki stood up while screaming, “Huh, love? You don’t even...” Her voice was rather loud as she spoke before she stopped herself. Everyone then stared at Yuki while whispering to each other. Mortified, she fled the cafeteria.
Once she returned to her classroom, she took her seat, ‘What should I do now? I hope I never see him again. I need to forget about this nightmare.’
Deep in thought, she couldn’t feel the presence of the girl approaching her. While looking at her, her classmate said, “Yuki, someone’s asking about you!”
Yuki hoped it wasn’t who she thought it was, but her wish was in vain
The boy from her nightmare stood there and faced her with a smile while saying, “We meet again!”
She braced herself before asking, “What brings you here?”
He answered, “What an attitude! You were trembling with fear just yesterday! It's amazing how fast you can change!”
He then glared at her, As she remembered what happened, she backed away in terror before speaking with an agitated voice, “Is there something else you want from me? I did everything you wanted.”

Aries said, “We better go other place, follow me!”
The girl was then forced to follow him to the rooftop, where she entered first before he followed and locked the door behind him.
She looked at him anxiously before saying, “What's going on? Why did you bring me here and lock the door?”
The boy wanted to comfort her, so he said, “We don’t need someone overhearing us. Don't worry; you have my word that I won't harm you as long as you are obedient! ”
There was silence for moment, Yuki said, “What did you want to talk about with me in private then?”
Aries said, “Nothing much. I just wanted to make sure that you'll never speak about what happened the day before. I'll be observing you, and since it just so happens that we go to the same school. Let's get along well!”
Anguished, the girl said, “Why can't you believe me that I won't tell anybody!? I've already planned to forget about everything that happened the other day, so please just let me be!”
Aries replied, “Hey, I promised you that I won’t harm you as long as you are obedient and calm about it. Also since I was observing you today, I saw that you looked quite panicked and couldn't pretend that nothing happened.”
The girl seemed quite troubled, so he tried to comfort her, “Don’t worry, nothing will change. I will only observe you from a distance. All you have to do is to act normal, as nothing happened!”
He then stopped talking for a moment as he moved towards the door and opened it, “Ah, just so you know, you shouldn't involve your friend in that case for her own safety! If I remember correctly, her name was....hmm, ah, Rume. You better not tell her anything.”
Yuki thought, ‘You don’t have to tell me that.’
As he opened the door, he was suddenly confronted face-to-face with another boy that had a sharp glare directed towards him before he asked him, “Where’s Yuki?” While Yuki rushed towards the door, she bumped into the boy’s before they clear the passage for her, as she fled from the roof with an annoyed expression.
Aries tried to leave too, but the boy pushed him back inside.
The boy said,“What were you trying to do to Yuki? She looked troubled!”
Aries smiled and replied, “Who are you, brat? Why do you care?” Enraged, the boy tried to punch Aries, so he disappeared from his vision.
The boy started to panic and look around, but he couldn't find him.
Near the roof entrance, he heard a voice behind his back, “I'll let you go this time because I'm a little busy, but believe me, if you ever show up again in front of me, you won't even get a chance to regret it.”
Aries then left after he finished talking to the boy, horrifying him with his threats and his actions. He attempted to regain control over the situation, but he couldn’t accept what he saw with his own eyes.
As Aries walked down the hallway, he remembered what happened the day before. When the police took him to the station, he was able to dismiss the testimony of the delinquent that ran away.
After Aries left the station, he went home and tested his new power. He first experimented on how to activate the power. Based on the information that the strange voice gave him, his power was forced to activate when he saw, smelled, or touched blood. He then began with an attempt to activate the power with his own will. When he concentrated his thoughts, he realized that his vision turned a little crimson.
While continuing the tests, he was able to get more information about how it works. He concluded that the amount of blood that comes in contact with him, decides the amount of power that he is given, therefore his powers work like an energy pool that is fueled by blood. The more blood is in the energy pool, the more power he gains, but controlling his mental state becomes problematic, causing him to seek more blood. On the other hand if he activates his power using his own will and not blood, he is able to control them without any risk.
The powers cause his sharpness and strength to increase significantly even when they are not activated, and these are way improved compared to a normal human being.
While approaching his class being deep in thought, he felt something wrong. His classmates prepared a trap for him. They placed a bucket full of water on the top edge of the door. He notices that the door was opened a little bit, he opened it more and by instinct he moved rapidly back. The bucket drops to the ground.
The delinquents stared at what he did shocked like never before, then one of them mumbled:“What just happened? Is that really Aries?” The others didn't even have an answer.
Aries thought, while smirking, ‘That bucket idea was rather interesting. I'm going to do even more interesting things though!’
