Chapter 1. Brave new World... and weirdo.

So... I am standing in the forest... quite the contrast between the forests of the old world.

User was transported to the world 0/3257-n4. Good luck!

“What a friendly fellow... first throws me into the middle of nowhere in one world, then in another... at least I got stuff.” I skimmed through my inventory. Quite a good items I got... still it seems that my scythe is at least a legendary type. The item types are go as follows Common>Uncommon>Rare>Relic>Artifact>Legendary>Divine>Celestial>Primordial. Unique could be between Uncommon to Primordial, and they are usually... well... unique. Skills are a bit easier Common>Uncommon>Rare>Unique>Legendary>Divine>Celestial>Primordial. How do I know that? Well...

Undying: Skill mastery none. Skill type Primordial. Description: No one can truly kill you. When your HP comes at zero you will get restored. All items bound to you will also be restored. No penalties applied.

Cool right? Well not really. You see bounding with the item means it'll be bound to your soul, while any item not bound to you will be dropped. Inventory is bound, so anything in it won't be lost, but if you got some sort of cool weapon you should either store it inside your inventory or bound as soon as you can. I once lost Unique weapon when fighting some monster, which killed me, and when I got back that item was destroyed. And bounding process is quite... painful... it's like pouring on yourself a molten metal and then drinking it. I tried to do it, but bounding is still worse, but close enough. One good thing after bounding is that the item will never be truly destroyed or lost, as in case of destruction of an item you would only need to sacrifice a bit of essence and volia! New shiny piece of something in your hands! Oh and the rarer the item the more pain you feel. When common item is like a molten wax, then Primordial is like ripping your soul apart.

Anyway I am now standing in the forest, on some unknown planet.

“Let's get walking.” I said as I started moving in 'that' direction.

While I walked I thought on some topics like 'will it be similar to the world before?' and 'will there be some sentient creatures?'. While walking I noticed some movements in the bushes.

Horned Rabbit level 1

OK... and I am?

Ash level 1

“Really now? Thank you frigging much System!” I said as I threw [Void Sphere] at the rabbit, obliterating it and everything in the 5 meter radius.

Note to self: Levels are useless.

Killed Horned Rabbit gained 5 exp

“Oh and how much do I need for level up?”

Ash level 1

Exp 5/10

“Pft... Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!! Seriously? That much? Wait what about my experience modifiers?”

Prodigy. Gain 5X times the experience. Increased learning speed by 5X.

. Experience threshold reduced by 90%.

“What a skill... ehm... title...” unknown title reduces the threshold... *hysterical laughter*

And in a few moments new rabbits came out. Brandishing my new sword 'Executioner' I looked at the 'meat'.

“Come on! I wanna taste some blood!” I made a wicked grin... too bad it was under my helmet.

As I took the fighting stance the first rabbit came in range, and was cleaved in half, that's when another one attacked from behind, but was met with the boot to it's face, which was then carved inwards. Then I decided to allow the rabbit hit me... which resulted in it's horn being cracked. Yes I know that my armor is badass, but it's just Legendary tier. I couldn't create Legendary tier armor, but this one I found in one of the crypts, few modifications and I got quite good looking armor, which is indestructible by the way... Oh another one charging... and I just punched it...

Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

Few minutes later I was covered in rabbit blood, and surrounded by rabbit corpses, or what's left of them. Fortunately I had [Dismantle] skill, so I just dismantled them, or butchered if you like.

“Uh... so smelly... I never noticed that until now...” anyway I gained some rabbit pelts, few kilos of meat and quite a lot of bones. Rule number three 'want not waste not'. Followed immediately after rule number two 'don't get cocky' and rule number one 'Assassinate only after scouting'. “Now is the question... where I headed in the first place?” I looked around and not finding them just went somewhere... and again stumbled upon something.

Forest Bear level 33

Should be stronger than rabbits... probably... so I brandished the 'Executioner' and charged the bear... making a puncture in it's neck. Unfortunately for it, death was not fast, as for at least 30 more seconds it thrashed around trying to maul me, but it's attempts were futile. So waiting until it bleeds out I got 'Wyrmskin Cloak' so I could more easily hide myself... As the bear finally died I skinned it and then butchered. Suddenly I remembered.

“I could just fly! Praise be magic!” so I casted [Flight] and started my ascension. But... “I can see only trees... no towns, ruins or just simple plains. Maybe I can find a creek?” so I started flying around in hope to find some sort of river.

Few hours of constant flying brought me to the river... at least the water was clean, unlike the previous world. Anyway just decided to go upstream in order to find village or something.

“Ooh... I see the river under the sea... wait... something not right... oh well, I need to learn some songs.” with such new goal, marched upstream.

Marching was quite boring, so I ran soon, and a few hours after that decided to fly...

Few days later.

Somewhere in the Lod Forest there was a village named Spree. Why was it named as such was unknown, maybe there was no reason for that name, except some drunken villagers with bad naming sense...

Now that village was quite... normal. It had a small port, if you could call it that, enormous, by the village standards, marketplace, a grand total of 67 houses including the village chief's house, and a palisade with a primitive gate. There was also a Smithy, but currently it was abandoned, as the smith along with her family (and half of the village) died during the winter... of illness, not hunger.

And now new threat was coming to this village, disguised as a traveller.

“Who goes there?” was the question of new guard Ricky, which he addressed to the stranger.

“Um... me?” bewilderment was in the voice of newcomer.

“I can see that it's you, but who are you?”

“Ash.”

“... What do I need to do?”

“You asking me?” bewilderment could be noticed in the voice of Ash... again...

“Yes. There are not much visitors, as this is quite remote village, and being new at the guard duty I don't know what to ask.” young guard started explaining...

“... seriously? Maybe you should call someone over? Like for entering purposes?”

“Uh... yes... that's a good idea!” and so the guard ran off to the village elder.

“For fuck's sake! Who runs off leaving no one to look for the visitor? What if he's a bandit or some other shit?” Ash was quite annoyed of the current “Fuck you Narrator! Skip the Frigging time already!”...(I am great narrator I won't explain everything!!! *thud* Ouch! What was that for?! *thud* *sound of something falling to the floor*) (sorry for the inconvenience, we will be back shortly *annoying elevator music* ~_~)

----------------------------------------

----------------------------------------

Back to the village entrance.

“Watcha want sonny?” some old geezer asked Ash while moving out of the village.

“Sonny? Oh right... the guardsman just ran off to fetch someone without explaining where am I.”

“You talking 'bout Ricky? He's new 'ere, so don't expect anything sensible from him.”

“New in the village?”

“No. Guard duty. He's an oaf, nothing better that this job for him, it's just this or farmer, but considering his troubles with the farming he's better be guard. Less troubles that way.”

“Right... so you are?”

“What a rude youth. Name's Old Ricky.”

“Ash. Are you two related?”

“No. This is Ricky village. All villages are called Ricky.”

“And women?”

“Ricky.” right... they are idiots. Or have really bad naming sense. “I'm just messing with you. This is village of Spree.”

“And your name is?”

“Ricky. The Guard is also Ricky.”

“Village elder?”

“Ricky.”

“... his wife?”

“Not married.”

“... his father?”

“Ricky...”

“Are all males called Ricky?”

“No. One is called Bob.”

“How do you know who addresses who?”

“Easy. By guess.”

“... anyway... where is the nearest city?”

“Dunno sonny. You could follow the river downstream and you should encounter some other villages.”

“What villages?”

“Cave village is three days by boat, Mush village is around a tenny from here.”

“Tenny?”

“Ten days for short.”

“I'm afraid to ask, but... what calendar do you use?”

“General one. I can see that doesn't tell you anything, so I will explain. Tenny is ten days. Month is five tennies long. Year has four seasons the Earth season, Fire Season, Wind season and Water season. They last for five months each.”

“Year is a thousand days long?”

“Sonny what calendar do you use?”

“... none...”

“And how do you know what day it is?”

“They are all the same, so no reason to bother.”

“From what place did you fall sonny? Nevermind. The year really has a thousand days.”

“OK, thanks for the info. What differences between seasons?”

“Well fire season is the hottest of them, while water is the coldest. The order is Fire followed by Wind then Water and Earth after. In the Earth season is good for farming as the earth becomes more generous, Fire season is usually accompanied by the animal breeding season, while Wind season is good for gathering bounties of the forest. Water season is usually accompanied by illness and cold weather, so we use firewood we gathered in the previous seasons to keep us warm.”

“So the worst season is Water?”

“Not really sonny. For hunters it's the best as they can easily track animals, but so do predators. Also at the Water season animals have the most dense fur, and this season is also good for preservation.”

“Thank you for information.”

“You are welcome sonny.” as they ended their discussion, someone yelled.

“Elder! There is a visitor at the gates! Can you check on him?”

“I'm already talking with him!” Old Ricky said. “Where did you ran off anyway?”

“... uh... I forgot...”

“See what I told you about him? He's an oaf.”

“Elder I am Ricky, not Oaf... no I am usually called Ricky Oaf...”

“Wait... you are village elder?”

“That's right sonny.”

“OK. Elder Ricky it was good to chat with you but I think I will be going... you said the Cave village was downstream?”

“Yes, and you can spend a night in our village, it's getting late anyway.”

“Thanks... um... can you explain me the trade system then?”

“... from where did you came from?”

“Don't know. There was a lot of monsters though.”

“Are you... nevermind.” 'what a strange youth. I think he lost his memories... but what did he mean when he said about monsters? The strongest creature around here is bear, and we sometimes hunt them.' was thoughts of village elder. As they were located quite deep in the forest they were quite carefree, except the times of hunt of fishing.
