It was another morning at the village of Lanhan. An ordinary village in which the only thing that had a bit of relevance is that they were under the Sun sect, it is said that the name of the sect originated from their traditions because it is common that it's disciples roam the world hunting evil spirits and wiping the shadows away from any place and even more that their own practise methods involve using the pure energy of the day to advance even more in their cultivation.
In this village is were Harlas resided, not as a villager but as a slave, working hard from morning to night and having a life without any more meaning than to subsist.
With his thirteen years old and a weakened body because of malnutrition he has no other way rather than to obey, be it to word or... to the whip, today it seems that follows the latter seeing how his scars are gradually incresing at this precise moment...
"Slave!, I told you to work harder today on the field, but it seems that you don't have ears nor do you have any gratitude towards your master!"
He was Gard, his master, a man on his forties and absolutely bald that enjoys punishing his slaves when things don't go his way. He had a belly so big that if he was a female no one would doubt that he could give birth at any moment.
While hitting him with the whip he continued saying:
"I don't enjoy hitting you, I have wasted a lot of money on you and because of that you should pay me back with hard work, but today I found you in the middle of the field laying around, as if you had free time!" Said Gard while showing a pained face.
What he didn't care about is that Harlas couldn't move because of overworking, that was his "laying around".
After completing a full course of ten whips he ended saying:
"Listen, today you will not have dinner and if tomorrow you don't complete your work then you won't eat never again, I'm not a charity, I do not feed useless slaves" While saying so, Gard turned away from him and left.
After some time passed, it was already midnight but a soft sobbing could be heard from within the fields, Harlas was about to die, but it seems that sometimes destiny has a way to change an obvious future into... something else.
A forgotten curse awakened with the blood of the child, the crops of the field started to rot, death coming from the earth itself, however with every bit of life that was being consumed a bit of a special liquid was being generated, it accumulated over the body of the child repairing it, making it stronger. It was happening everywhere around the village, but all that liquid came to him.
The malnutritioned child was changing to a robust young man, the only thing that truly remained the same was the color of his hair and eyes which were pure black.

Hours passed and when the sun was again showing itself from the east the child woke up.
"What... What happened" The child couldn't stop himself from asking, even when there was no one to answer him.
Without knowing what to do the child just observed his surroundings, only pure devastation remained, the crops that yesterday were full of vigor now had withered, everything was devoid of colour, even the earth had blackened.
Seeing the situation the child decided to go the village, but when he arrived... it was just a ghost village, most of the buildings got an odd feeling and there was a lot of dust. Inside the buildings anyone could find two or three piles of dust, and sometimes it could be found a ring or an amulet within it.
"What about the villagers? I d-don't understand" The child could only express his confusion.
"You actually know what happened, don't you?" A voice within the child sounded, it was quite a deep one.
"Who the hell is talking?!" The child couldn't stop himself from asking
"Hehehehehe, you actually know who I am don't you?, You awakened me with your blood"
"What? I... I didn't awaken anything" Said the child while showing confusion
"Well, not intentionally but... you did, and because you did life has withered away from this place"
"Wait a second, you actually are the one who did it?!"
"Not I but us little one, I'm kind of... part of you now"
"Why?!, I didn't ask for this..."
"Let me tell you a story... there was once a man who had lost his wife and only his child was still alive, however there was a problem, the life of the child was ending, it was inevitable, however the man didn't want his child to die and leave him all alone so he investigated how to heal him. Because of that desire he found a way, and that is to use a curse to do it. There is a saying that says that only curses are eternal in this world, it seems it holds quite a bit of truth.
The man wanted to use a curse to heal his child so he prepared a big sacrifice for that, he created a little village and promoted it so that people would come, those would make for that part, in fact every life that was within the village and it's surroundings would.
With the first part complete it was time for the second one, a curse needs a meaning, an objective should we say, the only way to add this was for the man to use his own life and more importantly... his will to force the curse to heal his child, before doing this step he prepared everything, putting his child in the middle of the place and giving him a dagger so that he could activate the curse with his blood.
After he did that he sacrificed himself and became the... will of the curse, the third and last part was that his child only needed to bleed so that the curse would activate, but there was one thing that he didn't calculate and that was that his child refused to sacrifice everyone, he couldn't do it, so his illness took his life before the ritual even started. Many years passed and the curse remained, hoping that someone who matches the conditions initiates it, and that was you".
"W-What?, It's impossible that it was because of me, I didn't do anything special"
"You may think so but... You are wrong, at least I can say that two of the conditions were:
1º The blood must come from a dying person
2º That person should have a 'will to live'
But not even I can know the exact conditions"
"Then I... I killed everything in this place" The child couldn't stop himself from crying at this point, feeling responsible for so many deaths wasn't something that he wanted, even if the people here weren't kind nor just.
"Hehehe child, even if you don't want it the past isn't something that can be undone, listen to uncle Cursic and everything will be alright..."
