Chapter 1: Bloody tears

The world is cruel place.

You get born into a body, country and social standing and have no say in it. Life gives you a starting point, and you have to do the best of it.

Lisa was born into wealth.

She was born in a magical world in medieval times. Her parents were the duke and duchess of one of the biggest and most influential country's on the continent.

Her and her sister seemed to grow up in an normal environment. She spend most of her early years with her mother Amilia and her Brother Bastian, while her father worked most of the time.

Even when he wasn't working he seemed very absent and unloving.

that is until her and her sister started showing signs of their heritage awakening at 16.Their father seemed Ecstatic while their mother tried to fake happiness but wasn't able to hide her terror. They were brought into a research facility near one of Lisa's favored buildings, the big Tower. It looked a little scary and menacing but had a magical aura around it.

In the research facility her and her sister were examined with magical machinery. They all seemed very exited and expectant. She herself didn't feel a lot of change except for her eyes and hair having changed to be lightly more red. For some reason the doctor's and even her mother seemed to pity her, her brother's hair and eyes on the other hand had changed to be slightly more blue and no one seemed to pity him.

A lot of things changed in the next few days. Her father started to spent a lot mor time with them, he was nice to her sister Bianca but angrier and meaner when he talked to her, it was as if he wanted her to hate him and he actively went out of his way to make Lisa feel bad. A lot of things changed and the way she was treated by her family and the servants started to worsen. The people who where always nice to her and always treated her lovingly, like her mother, seemed to distances themselves from her or out right disappear. All of this lead to her being a lot more sad which seemed to satisfy the people around her in a weird way.

Her life had changed completely after the day her heritage awakened. Her Brother on the other hand was treated a lot more lovingly and seemed to be more happy.

Lisa also noticed that her Brother started to adept to his surrounding and treat her like the rest of the family.

They wouldn't answer Lisa when she asked why they changed so much, or if she did something wrong. Lisa started apologizing for whatever she did, but there was no use in apologizing.

Lisa couldn't bear it any more and broke down crying, when her parent's didn't even want to look at her any more. She let out her emotions and pent up frustration. Her tears ran down her cheek and fell off her chin, but they didn't hit the ground in fluid form. Her tears crystalized shortly after slipping off of her skin and her emotions seemed to flow through her tear. The now red crystal dropped to the ground and grabbed everyone's attention her Father went to pick up the crystal and looked at it with an infatuated gaze.

After that the way he treated her worsened even more. He only seemed satisfied with her when she was crying and creating the red crystals.

She tried to avoid her father but he would always find her and torment her till her emotions burst out and she cried, creating his beloved crystals. At some point it became so bad that he started to hit her and use violence, her mother couldn't bear it any more, she tried to help Lisa and stepped in between Lisa and her father, Richard. Her mother screamed at him: stop, isn't that enough. This goes to far.

Richard looked at her, angry about her involvement: you have made an oath and you promised me to not involve yourself in this, he said while raising his voice.

Yes but you didn't tell me that you would go so far ,she said still standing in front of Lisa.

Lisa couldn't take it any more: Mom why is this happening, i didn't do anything I swear I...  It ... It feels like a dream everything has changed everyone hates me. Why WHY what did i do Lisa, screamed. It didn't make sense to her she didn't do anything. The only thing she knew was that it had something to do with the awakening of her heritage.

Lisa's Father was starting to lose patients, he called two of the guards standing next to the door and signaled them to take Amilia away.

Amilia tried to defend herself but was overpowered, I'm sorry Lisa, I'm so so sorry, that was the last thing Lisa heard her mother say before the door closed behind her.

Lisa was left alone with her father. He didn't seem to be in the mood to torment her more instead he seamed to have come to a conclusion: Ah it was made for you anyway, should have directly put you there, he said, half to himself.

He took her with him to the tower, they went up the several floors of the tower till they were at the very top. She and her sister were never aloud to go inside the tower so she only found out now that it was a Prison.

Her father threw her in to the cell at the highest floor of the prison and closed the door.

He started to speak in a quiet voice: I'm sorry that you have to live like this, but this is you purpose, it always was your purpose and, he started to raise his voice, you should be honored. You are going to give your life for this country. No one ellse can do what you were made for. I will do you a favor and make sure that it isn't to painful, his tone changed into that of caring father: because i love you.

She started to cry and sob again and the crystals started to fall, she fell to her knees and started to plead but Richard was just standing there, his eyes started to become blank, she couldn't find any emotions in his eyes as if he wasn't looking at a human.

He did not see a person on the ground Infront of him, he saw a recourse that had to be exhausted as long as it was available.

He stooped looking at her, turned his back to her and left the room.

The red crystals falling from her face turned a shade darker.
