Mira frowned and tried to get closer to Stephan but he would push her away from him and draw that trollop closer. The two were still holding hands, fingers interlaced with one another. I am not letting that tramp get him!
She slowed down and began to walk in the middle of the two but they wouldn’t let their hands go!
She batted her eyes. “Stephan, shouldn’t you be holding my hand? I am your fiance.”
“Keep walking Mira. Don’t you have a guest house to show us,” Stephan sighed curling his fingers around Zen’s.
Zen squeezed his hand and tucked herself into his shoulder angering Mira. Stephan dropped their hands and curled his arm around Zen’s waist, bringing her closer and laying a kiss on her head. Zen tilted her head up and glanced at him grinning before burrowing into his chest. Mira glared with all the fire of Kuja in her eyes. This is worse! Now she’s hanging onto him! I have to put an end to this!
Mira walked over to a guest settlement and pointed to the rooms.
“Some will have to share I’m afraid.”
“Not a problem. We’ve shared before,” Isaias said picking a far room and tugging Marco along with him. Marco grinned shaking his head. Marek and Val chose the next room across from Isaias and Marco. Kiera chose a room beside Marek’s and Senka chose the one beside Isaias’s room. Edline stared at Zen and Stephan. There was only one room left, It was the biggest.
“I guess us three are going to share one room then,” Stephan said smiling at his sister who shyly grinned back.
Mira screamed. “No!” She pointed to Zen. “She’s going into containment until you leave!” She grabbed Zen’s arm and pulled her away from Stephan with a yank.
“Leave Zen alone!” A glow encompassed Edline and Mira was thrown off Zen by a beam of electricity. She hit the wall and slid down in an unconscious heap.
Isaias poked his head out his door and took one look at the scene. “ She try to take the crystal away again?”
“No but she accosted me and it cost her. Edline doesn’t like her,” Zen said as she bent over to check that Mira was still breathing. Senka appeared from a shadow and grinned. “Got what was coming to her I think.”
Stephan turned to Zen. “ Zen don’t feel guilty about this. It wasn’t your fault. She was going to put you in containment and…”

“Say what,” Isaias yelled coming over to his sister and looking her in the eye. “Is what he said true Zen?”
Zen nodded standing and wiping a hand on her forehead. “Yeah, Isaias. She grabbed me with that strength of hers and hauled me. Edline did not take to that kindly. She saw it as a threat and well...the results,” she waved her hands at Mira’s unconscious form.
“She got what she deserved! She was going to take you from us,” Edline cried coming over and sticking to Zen’s waist.
Zen smiled and ruffled Edline’s hair. “No one is taking me away Edline.”
The door flew open to show a plump woman with jet-black hair. She took one look at Mira and screamed. The guards that were with her pointed their tech guns at the group as they came out of their rooms to investigate the scream.
“Who did this,” the woman cried. “Who beat my poor, defenseless, Mira!”
“She attacked us first,” Edline cried peeking from behind Zen and beginning to spark causing Zen some discomfort. The woman glared at Edline. “My Mira would not hurt a fly. Was it you? Guards arrest that girl!”
Edline began thrumming with power. This could get ugly fast! Zen pulled Edline to her and then handed her to Stephan before stepping up.
“It was me. I did it. She tried to manhandle me. I have the bruises to prove that,” she said showing off where Mira had grabbed her and sunk her nails in her arm. The bruises matched Mira’s fingerprints exactly.
Stephan stepped up. “We are guests of your Jefe and your daughter Palomera, just tried to haul Zen away from us in jealousy. You know the strength of the Yuka could have seriously hurt Zen a human. What happened was self-defense? Now take your daughter and get out of here Palomera. She’s every bit as spoiled as you are.”
“Not until someone pays for my daughter’s condition! Arrest that girl and keep her in containment till I say otherwise!”
The guards sighed and each took hold of Zen who did not fight. Instead, she calmed Ishevara of the ire that was slowly building within the crystal and walked out with the guards. Edline was in tears and was trying to run after her, but Stephan had a hold of her and was wincing every time she shocked him into letting go. He wouldn’t though and kept her pinned between his body and the door.
“Calm down Ed! We’ll get her back!”
Edline stopped struggling and looked up. “Promise?”
“Promise Little Spark but you have to be on your best behavior. No more beaming people into walls ok?”
“She was hurting Zen! She’s…”
“I know Edline but if we’re going to get Zen out of containment, you have to reign those instincts in ok?
. “It’s all my fault! Zen didn’t do anything! She didn’t do anything to the bad girl! I did! I did! Take me,” Edline wailed clutching her fists and sending bolts of electricity into the room. The lights sparked and blew.
Stephan sighed and picked up the sparking girl wincing when a current of electricity ran through him. He was a water elemental and easily affected by a lightning elemental. Still, he rubbed her back and shushed her calmly.. Edline hiccupped and sighed before burrowing into his neck.
“It’s ok Ed. Zen wanted to protect you. She didn’t want you to experience the containment rooms. That is no place for little girls to be.”
“Yeah we’ll get her back,” Isaias chimed in ruffling Edline’s auburn hair which was a frizzy mess.
