I woke up in an all-white room. My uniform has been taken off, and my regular clothes back on. My head is pounding and my leg is sore still. My scratches I had before school though, had been healed. How long have I been out for? I put my hand up to my head to feel it, and I felt a rag on my forehead. I peeled it off, and I sat up and began to look around the room. There were beds lined up, and everyone from my class seemed to be here laying in them. People in lab coats were also bustling around the beds too. They must be the medics. My bed is positioned in the corner next to the door. It must be the people who got out first are farther in the room than the ones who got out later. Jack is laying right beside me still unconscious, but curiously Via isn’t next to me at all. In fact, I didn’t see Via anywhere in the room. I could hear people talking near the door. I could hear a person say, “Don’t you think you went a little too hard on them Grey? Shit, most of them will be out for the rest of the school day, and they will still leave for home with bruises and scratches! Next time you do this, you will use double the normal restrainers instructors would normally use to spar students!”
Mr. Grey’s monotone voice spoke up in defense sayings, “They need to learn that they need to work as a team to complete missions. None of them are strong enough to fight things head on. I also did go easy on them. They have little to no experience fighting people who know what they are doing, and it shows. This is a learning experience for them.”
“This will scar them for life!”
“If they get scared by this then they shouldn’t be a protector.”
As I was listening in to their conversation, a medic rushed over to my bed. He was a slender guy with blonde hair, and he had a weird pattern on his right eye. He grabbed my shoulders, and looked at me with wide eyes as he asked exasperated, “How the hell are you conscious again so soon? We just fully healed you as best as we could five minutes ago! You should be out for the rest of the school day at least! I don’t think you had a durability power or healing power, did you?”
Putting a confused look on my face, I answered him, “I’m a sagaru, so no, I don’t”

Is it really normal to be out that long from the injuries I sustained? I heard the conversation that Mr. Grey and the person he was talking to that everyone else is probably going to be out that long, but I thought there would be others like me waking up early. The medic’s face beside me widened in shock. “How is this possible?” He pondered to himself.
While he was lost in his thought, one of the medics finally moved out of the way of a bed she had been standing over for a while, and I could finally see who was laying there. It was Zen laying there unconscious. My breath caught short when I noticed her, and she seemed to radiate some type of beautiful icy aura even when asleep. I noticed a big bruise on the side of her face though. No doubt, it was courtesy from Mr. Grey. I looked back to where the blonde hair medic was sitting to see if he still had a shocked face, but he wasn’t there when I looked. Next thing I know, the person who was talking with Mr. Grey was by my bed talking to me. “How you feeling kid?”
A little confused as to who this person is, I answered him, “I feel fine for the most part. I am a little sore though, but I feel fine other than that. Who are you?”
He laughed a little bit. He was an older man with glasses and grey hair. He told me, “You probably wouldn’t know me since you haven’t been to the medic bay yet huh? I’m the head medic at Crystal High, Dr. Trey. No one gets healed here without me knowing about it.”
Mr. Grey walked up behind Dr. Trey and looked at me with his uncovered eye. I asked Mr. Grey, “How’s your arm?”
“It’s fine no thanks to you. How are you back conscious so soon after you got healed?”
Is this really a big deal? Don’t people just recover from things differently? “I don’t know.” I told them. “I just woke up. I didn’t do anything different today that I normally wouldn’t do. Also, where is Via? Did she already wake up too?”
Mr. Grey lowered his head. He told me, “She is back in the classroom waiting for me to get back there. She is the only one who passed the quiz. Right after I knocked you out, and I was about to knock her out. The last buzzer went off. Honestly, I went too easy on you.”
Dr. Trey hit him in the gut and scolded him saying, “No, you did not Grey Summers! You went way too hard and you know it! The day after a terrorist attack on the school too!”
“Summers?” I asked in bewilderment.
Dr. Trey turned towards me and told me, “Yes, that’s Grey’s last name. I was a medic when Grey went to Crystal High himself. He visited me often when he was here. Oh the stories I could tell about him. Did you know that he…”
“That’s enough Doc. I’m sure that Khan would like to go talk to Via about their experience on the quiz. I can send you Khan’s file if you want. It should have everything you are looking for. Khan are you comfortable enough to walk?”
Dr. Trey turned toward him saying, “Nonsense Grey! The poor lad just woke up! At least give him some time to gather his bearings.”
Wanting to talk to Via about the quiz though, and I wanted to see how she is doing after it. I moved around my legs to see if they were fine and looked at Dr. Trey and said, “I feel fine Doc. I can walk back to the classroom.”
“That’s beside the point Khan. You may feel fine, but you may not actually be fine.”
Mr. Grey ignored him though, and he tugged me out of the bed. As we walked out of the room, he told Dr. Trey, “I’ll send those files to you soon.”
Mr. Grey and I then walked through the hallways back to our classroom. I wonder how Via is doing? I really want to see her and apologize for not coming up with a better plan.
