2 years passed, a lot happened in those 2 years. I told my friends about the future excluding the letter, trained until I was able to use this energy that is flowing into me, and that energy started flowing through Yuki and Rim.
And it all came to this day, today is the day we go through the dungeon my future self spoke of. He didn't mention a place, so I'm guessing it will appear anywhere.
Yuki, a blonde, short, muscular man, always smiles and loves to eat a lot. He started running towards me from the train station, and I said "you're late."
"Sorry, I forgot today was the day," he replied. "Where is Rim?"
"She's petting that dog over there," I answered. Rim, a black-haired short girl, likes animals, like all animals.
"Let's go to a less crowded place. The last dungeon appeared at night, so I'm thinking this one will appear at night too," I said.
"Okay, but how many years back to the future are we traveling?" asked Yuki.
"He didn't mention that, but that doesn't matter," I said.
We stepped onto the train heading to Kyoto. While we were on the train, Yuki and Rim decided to watch one last movie. I was thinking about Zayn's clothes. The fabric was futuristic and smooth, and there is no way he came from the 19th or 16th century because history doesn't have a record of people using energy to fight in battles.
The only explanation I got is that the past is futuristic, which doesn't make sense, or Zayn lied that he came from the future. But I don't see a reason for him to lie to me.
"Zayn..." called Rim with a low-pitched voice.
"Don't disturb me, I'm thinking," I said, annoyed.
She said, "Look..." while pointing in my direction. When I turned around, I saw the dungeon gate. But nobody seems to notice except the three of us. I was shocked, even though I was expecting it.
The dungeon started fading, so I quickly said, "Let's go, quick," and got up from my chair and started running towards the dungeon.
We entered the dungeon and started walking while examining the place. It was different from the last dungeon. This one was much bigger and didn't look like a dungeon at all; a royal house should be a way to describe it.
After walking for 5 minutes, we found the artifact. And by its side, there was a text written in an ancient language. Rengoku has the ability to translate any ancient language, so I asked Rengoku to translate it for me. It says:
"This letter was left by the king of Bhava. This artifact will grant its user and their party the ability to change the outcome of the future. This artifact will send you back 500,000 years from the future, and the user will start their life from there."
"Should we use it? I mean, there is no coming back from this," said a random voice. When I turned around, I saw a foreigner, wearing oversized clothes, with dreadlock black hair and brown skin.
I said in surprise and a straight face "Who the fuck is you? And how did you get here?"
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
"Oh, I'm Kron. I came here when I saw this portal that appeared inside the bus," he said while keeping a straight face. And pointing his thumb backwards
"Isn't Kron a white name, and how did you see the dungeon gate?" asked Yuki, who was confused.
"Guess you could say that I am special," he said, then started laughing.
"What do you say, Zayn? Should he come in?" asked Rim.
"What is that staff you're holding?" I asked Kron.
"Oh, this? This is one of my father's ancient weapons. My father likes collecting ancient weapons. When we ask him why, he simply replies: 'I like old stuff,'" he said, while looking at his staff.
That staff has energy flowing through it, and the energy seems familiar to Kron. I think, "We will have you! But only on one condition."
"What is that?" he asked.
"You have to give me that headset," I said.
"Sure," he gave me his headset without hesitation.
I touched the artifact and it started glowing, and all of us were connected with this blue lightning. Everything started collapsing but we were unfazed, after that everything froze in an instant, we all started looking around confused. And suddenly we started moving forward, the only thing I saw was black, and since the speed is so fast none of us could open our eyes. It went like that for at least 20 seconds.
We all swamped in a dry land, were ever we turned around we couldn't see anything but land. "where are we?" said Kron. We were all asking the same question.
While we were trying to figure out which direction to go, a group of 3 people, all wearing the same uniform, approached us. They walked towards us slowly. "thank goodness, I thought we were the only ones here," said Rim.
One of the solders said "do you have a pass?" Somehow we could understand their language. But this is where things get serious. I stepped forward and said "no!" The solders started talking to each other, and
one of the men said, "you're under arrest for trespassing," and the other guy said, "you're done for, the king likes killing." Execution for trespassing? Isn't that a bit intense.
“shit is getting real around here!" said Kron.
"Ya, how are we going to handle this one?" I said.
"What I don't understand is how you two are this calm, he said you will die, man," said Yuki, who was terrified. Rim was also scared.
"I'm afraid we can't come with you. We didn't know this area was off limits," I said.
The soldiers started laughing and said, "then we will have to bring you by force."
Kron's eyes gleamed with unexpected excitement as he gripped his staff tightly, a confident grin spreading across his face. "Bring it on!" he challenged, falling into a skilled fighting stance.
One of the soldiers, seemingly unintimidated by Kron's bravado, rushed forward, his weapon raised to strike. But Kron was ready. With lightning-fast reflexes, he deftly countered the soldier's attack, his staff moving in a blur as he effortlessly parried the blows.
Undeterred, the solder pressed his assault, his strikes growing more intense. Kron's expression remained calm and focused as he danced around the soldier's advances, his staff a blur of motion.
Suddenly, Kron saw an opening and seized the opportunity. He launched himself into the air, somersaulting over the soldier's head. As he landed behind the surprised man, Kron swung his staff in a powerful arc, the sturdy wooden shaft connecting with the soldier's helmet with a resounding crack.
The soldier staggered, but to Kron's astonishment, he remained standing, seemingly unfazed by the blow. Before Kron could react, the soldier reached out and grabbed the staff, yanking it from Kron's hands. In one swift motion, the soldier lashed out with his leg, delivering a powerful kick that sent Kron tumbling to the ground.
Kron grimaced in pain, but he quickly rolled to his feet, his eyes narrowing as he sized up his formidable opponent. This was going to be a tougher fight than he had anticipated.
This was the time for me to step in. I threw Kabuto at the soldier, and when he countered the sword, it went to his back. I said "flip," and the Kabuto and I switched places. This was one of my Kabuto's abilities.
As soon as I switched with my Kabuto, I swung my blade at the soldier's back, hoping to slash him, but one of the soldiers rushed forward with incredible speed and countered my blade. I bounced backward, and the soldier said, "don't interrupt a fight between men." He had a point there.
"Then I'm assuming you will be my opponent," I said, my confidence overflowing. And the soldier replied, "this fight is already over."
He posed, joined his two hands together, and said, "kai: prison chains." And a chain appeared out of nowhere and tied us all together. Then the soldier said, "You've made your charges worse when you resisted."
Then Kron said, "What is worse than death?" The soldiers covered our heads with clothes and carried us with them.
