<~(USA - Earth 2016)~>
Markus finished reading the email that same night since it seemed rather short for a supposed invitation to testing out a flagship game. All it really contained was something sent by a desperate person and a shit ton of goodies to entice their target to take up the deal.
Well, it was working at least.
He knew this was a limited time deal, so without much reason to deny it, Markus sent his agreement. Apparently what he didn't expect was that within three minutes of sending that email, he received a virtual transportation ticket that was valid for one direct trip to their headquarters based in New York. This meant he essentially got a free ride there and didn't have to pay for anything which pleased him.
After giving himself a moment to come down off of the emotional high he received from this surprise, he looked over the package details.
He disregarded the currency packages immediately since Markus had a vague feeling neither of them were of major importance at the current moment. What he kept in mind was the {Unique Title}, {All Race Package}, and the {Novice Protection}.
'Could it work like that?' Markus thought to himself as he suspected the way they were formatted might reveal something more about them. Deciding to give it a try, he tapped on the {Unique Title} first...

{Unique Title}
Given out to special participants or as an award for legendary achievements, whoever owns one will have it permanently across all characters in their account unless it is either a limited, character-specific, or otherwise stated title. There is no limit to how many titles an account can have.

A type of notification prompt appeared slightly below the formatted text Markus tapped on with his finger and he learned what amounted to a summarized version of an [Examine] prompt from those video games he used to play. Quickly reading through it, Markus felt something draw upon his curiosity for the last two formatted texts in the email.
Almost like something was urging him to learn as much as he could before he left for New York akin to having his very life on the line.

'What?' Markus thought to himself as he felt like there was something here that he was missing entirely. He read through the last two parts without much issue, but that nagging feeling of a Lorehound was impossible to sate. 'Why does it seem like there is more here than what meets the eye?'
Unfortunately for our main character, his physical exhaustion was tough to ignore despite his spirit getting amped up for something he instinctively understood was coming. Without much fanfare, Markus Reeves fell asleep in his bed one last time.
Completely unaware that his future path was only just beginning.
