A short recap of today, I began my day at 5:00 AM with the usual routine: waking up, showering, going for a jog, showering again, and having breakfast. Following that, I headed to work, where I worked as a model. When I returned home, my husband Epi surprised me with two virtual reality headsets and the game 'Crossroads of Destiny.' It brought back memories of my nerdy middle school days when I loved gaming but faced bullying. In high school, I shifted gears, became the student council president, and graduated at the top of my class.
As I reminisced about my past and the changes I had undergone, two virtual reality headsets rested on either side of our opulent bed. On a whim, I decided to switch them up—a little switcheroo, an impulsive choice guided by an instinct I couldn’t quite explain, perhaps a manifestation of a woman's intuition or maybe even a mysterious sixth sense. I reached for the relocated headset, put it on, and swiftly installed 'Crossroads of Destiny.' Once the installation was complete, I eagerly started it up, skipping the introductory movie to dive straight into ‘COD,’ and soon found myself in the character creation.
Race – Human Gender – Male Name – ipE Is that correct?
Yes No
It was; I didn’t want to create myself as I would get recognized, and it's not my ego speaking – I was the top model in the country and third in the world. The two above me were Valeif and Lilith. Lilith was also a world-renowned actress, and Valeif was the most popular idol who was also a streamer. Enough about them. Why didn’t I just change my appearance? That’s boring. When I played games with character creation, I always tried to create myself or my ideal husbando. But now, since I am married, he is Epi or ipE reversed.

The next thing I knew, I found myself in the game world, and the experience was nothing short of breathtaking. It marked my first venture into a full-dive environment, and the sheer wonder of it all was indescribable. The sights, sounds, and even the scents immersed me completely.
I was abruptly brought back to reality by an old man NPC, his monologue fading from my memory. But one thing rang clear, his question: “Do you accept this task?” Without a moment's hesitation, I responded with clear enthusiasm in my voice, “Yes, of course!”
"Well said!" The old man nodded his head, and suddenly, a quest appeared at the right corner of my view.
Find A Job
After glancing at it, I noticed the other UI elements, all so familiar to me. The minimap at the top right corner of my view, the information bar at the top, player status at the top-left corner, group members at the left corner, chat at the bottom left corner, XP bar at the bottom, and last but not least, the menu at the bottom right corner.
“ipE!” someone called out to me. It was another player and their level was maxed out. “Are you a new player?”
Annoying, was my thought. They were the type of a player I despised the most. I decided to ignore them and walked away. I had a quest to focus on. But it was complete before I knew it. The job I found was of a hybrid role. A knight.
Suddenly, an unexpected notification message jolted me.
