I buried her on the edge of the lake, one of the tallest trees in the area marking her grave. I carved her name at the base. I took a moment, just staring at that name. I didn’t know what to do. I just needed it to stop. Grave after grave after grave. Scarlett wasn’t the first of those I cared about to be put under ground. Time and time again. Be them princesses, warriors, or servants. They all died. I got tired of burying my friends.
