A woman entered the classroom with bright blue hair and red holozoic eyes after a loud thud, holding a paper from an ancient book. Rex, sitting in the last corner of the class, said, "I think she is our homeroom teacher; seeing her, she knows how to use magic, and she has an aura comparable to mine." The woman, after placing the book on the table, stood near the students at the front and started speaking, "Hello, everyone! As you know, I am your homeroom teacher, Clerisa. I will be teaching you about healing magic and for your COMBO MAGIC. Another teacher will be assigned to you."
Most of the students laughed and mocked her, saying, "Hah! I think she's much weaker than we are, so why is she just standing there while we insult her?" One of the students in the front row jumped up to punch her, trying to test her strength. As the boy flew toward Clerisa with determination, she turned around, caught him effortlessly, and then performed a spell called "Osiris." The boy collapsed onto the table, silencing the class, and some students even wet themselves out of fear of her.
Rex, shocked, thought, "What is with this lady? What did she do to that boy? I need to be careful around her; I don't want to end up like that." Clerisa then said, "Hah! You never know who you might meet, so don’t judge anyone by their appearance or behaviour. Today it’s me, but someday you might provoke someone, and who knows what could happen to you? You might even end up dying like this boy who tried to surprise me."
The students, who had been listening, murmured among themselves, "What is she saying? I know 'Osiris' in the ancient language means 'god of death,' but did she really kill him just for confronting her?" Others whispered, "What! Did she say 'death'? Does that mean the boy is dead? What a demonic lady! She’s powerful, and this is bad for us. What if she decides to kill us for fun?"
Rex thought, "What kind of power does she have? She looks strong, but I think she's bad news for the other students." Clerisa then addressed the class: "Everyone thinks I killed him, and I did, but he can be revived." The students whispered, "Is she mad or a psycho? What does she mean by 'revived'? Is she treating him like an object?"
Clerisa apologized and explained, "I’m going to perform healing magic to bring him back to life." Rex thought, "I know there’s magic that can bring people back from the dead. My mother told me she’s the only one who can do it, but how can Clerisa do it too? Is she new to the city? I’ll have to ask my mother about this later."
The students questioned whether she was a god or some supreme being. Clerisa snapped, "Shut up and listen, or I’ll do the same thing to all of you!" Rex thought, "She’s really crazy!" Clerisa then elaborated on the power and importance of healing magic. "As you saw earlier, I used a spell called 'Osiris,' which destroys every cell in a target's body by infusing it with negative mana. Human bodies are made up of minute cells invisible to the naked eye. Destroy those cells, and the person dies as they gradually deteriorate. But if you want to learn the 'Osiris' spell, you must master controlling both your positive and negative mana."

Clerisa continued, "Now I will perform a spell to reconstruct the cells and bring the boy back to life. It’s called 'Isis.' Watch closely." She placed her palm on the boy’s head and told the class, "As you know, the brain contains neurons. If these neurons don’t get oxygen for even a fraction of a second, they die, and the person loses consciousness. But if we can supply positive mana to the brain cells, we can revive them. Now, watch as I say 'Isis' and bring the boy back to life."
After chanting the spell, the boy, who had been dead, returned to life, shocked by the experience. Clerisa then announced, "Now, I’ll begin your first lesson on how the human body works." The students, eager to learn about the spells 'Osiris' and 'Isis,' listened intently. Rex, amazed, thought, "Wow! I thought she could only kill with 'Osiris,' but she can also use 'Isis,' a spell my mother can only use on animals, not humans. She’s incredible."
The students all pleaded with Clerisa to explain the spells further so they could understand how they worked. With a pleased expression, Clerisa began to explain the spells in detail. The students, smiling, listened attentively. She warned them, "Even after I explain, none of you will likely be able to perform these spells. Only those connected to God 'Osirisis ' can use 'Osiris' and 'Isis.'"
The students, confused, wondered, "Who is this God 'Osirisis'? I’ve never heard of him from my parents." Clerisa clarified, "Don’t be confused. I’m going to tell you the story of how our clan became known as 'grim reapers.'"
The students recalled hearing about the grim reapers from the kingdom’s main hall, where all clan information is kept. Rex, shocked, thought, "Wait, what? My mother is from the grim reaper clan!"
Clerisa then began her tale: "About 10,000 years ago, when people started settling in colonies, our clan lived near the Genma River, cooperating with each other. At that time, we didn’t have the powers of 'Osiris' or 'Isis.' As the years passed, a child prodigy was born—none other than God 'Osirisis.' He was like any other child, but one day, he went hunting in the forest without telling anyone. After wandering for a long time, he became thirsty and found a divine-looking pond. After drinking from it, he headed back to the village but encountered a dangerous B-ranked hamster. As the hamster attacked Osirisis, he entered his inner world, where the pond took the human form and reassured him, 'Don’t be afraid. I will always be with you when you are in danger. Just say 'Osiris,' and the hamster will die.'"
After following the instructions, Osirisis returned to his village, keeping his experience secret. Over time, other villages sought to expand their territories and gain dominance, leading to an attack on his village. For the first time, Osirisis used his powers openly, becoming a hero and saviour by saving his village. But as more villages attacked, Osirisis grew ill and on the verge of death, sacrificed himself, distributing his powers among the villagers. Driven by revenge, the villagers attacked and ruthlessly destroyed their enemies, an event known as 'the dark blood.' This is how our clan came to be known as 'grim reapers.'"
