Deep within the sinister, all-encompassing red fog.
Almost two centuries had passed since the red fog settled in this place, baring its malevolent nature. Its crimson hue infused the air, shrouding the once-thriving landscapes in an unsettling aura.
The fog possessed an unnerving ability to mutate all forms of life it encountered. It twisted and distorted plants, animals, and even sentient beings, warping them into grotesque and nightmarish forms. The very essence of existence became corrupted within its presence.
Despite their mutations, these abominations embraced their new forms and the mystical power that came with it. However, it was both a blessing and a curse to these creatures. While it granted them unique abilities, allowing some the power to manipulate elements that transcended their ancestral races, it also fueled their relentless hunger for magic and life essence. They roamed through the fog-shrouded landscapes, perpetually searching for sources of energy and sustenance, both within their own kind and from unfortunate intruders who stumble into their domain.
This place was truly an unforgiving place; from the mutant cockroach that was eaten by a two-headed mutant dog; which then swallowed by a mutant armored lizard; which was chomped to pieces by a frightening beast with a mouth as large as a car and filled with razor-sharp teeth.
It appeared as though this was a never-ending cycle that wouldn’t ever and couldn’t be interrupted.
Until…
Pew!
A purplish beam pulverized the beast with razor-sharp teeth into pieces.
The one who attacked was a monstrous bipedal creature with gray skin, a pair of horns that towered from its two sides of the head like that of a devil, and two pairs of arms. Among these attributes, its two pairs of arms were the most terrifying — one pair being disproportionately large and muscular that they could crushed a tree with ease and chopped human flesh into pieces with their sharp claws, whereas the other pair, the one that was more to the front, were small and merged together.
To add to it, the nightmarish creature had no eyes, ears, or any facial features save for a mouth that occupied almost half its visage. The monstrous being's lips curled back, revealing a row of jagged, razor-sharp teeth, as a chilling grin etched upon its face.
This demonic creature’s name was Moceferaja.
It was known as a powerful being that sought chaos. As a member of the Gray Demon clan, one of the most prestigious mutant demon clans, known for their cunningness and manipulation tactics, Moceferaja possessed immense abilities that was feared and set it apart by others. Furthermore, it had an innate ability to manipulate weaker mutated monsters, making them do its bidding.

Yet, it didn’t appear that its immense strength brought it much joy.
In fact, gray blood was leaking from the corner of the demon’s razor mouth, but the chilling grin showed no signs of going away.
“Pah! One feeble human dared do this to me and massacred my minions!” the demon scoffed in demonic language, a deep grumble resonating in its voice.
A measly human in a gas mask had injured it and was after it; if it was known by the other mutant demons that such a thing had befallen it, it would bring it immense humiliation. And yet, each time this nightmarish creature remembered what it had gone through, even its menacing smile lost its form.
One must know that Moceferaja’s power wasn’t limited to controlling other mutated monsters but also his incredible manipulation in magic. While his raw strength wasn’t anything to look at, his source power was immense, rivaling that of a Tier-4 mutated monster.
The demon marched forward, levitating across the seemingly endless red fog. After what felt like a few hours, it stopped in the air.
Ahead was something that it had never encountered in ages. A mysterious place that was hadn’t been corroded by the red fog, which was a stark contrast to where it had been living so far.
"Ah, yes! Such a rich life energy…!" Moceferaja roared with a malicious laugh, relishing the new toy it had just found.
As the demon pried deeper with its magic, it saw an expansive green land. The air was crisp and devoid of the oppressive presence of the red fog. Lush landscapes and vibrant life unfurled before its demonic gaze. It couldn’t wait a second longer to unleash chaos and carnage upon this land.
However, as soon as Moceferaja’s hand was about to grasp ahead, a barrier deflected its claws. Even with its immense power, it would take time for it to corrode the barrier.
It sensed terrible danger from within, amidst the seemingly peaceful land. Something was protecting this place, a very powerful being at that.
“I need an army… Stronger than my previous minions.”
The demon searched left and right and finally stumbled upon a crimson crystal ball amidst the red fog — the Crimson Core. A crystal core that was the mother of the red fog, the source of its origin.
With its power, not to mention conquering this small piece of land, even becoming the ruler of its clan would be possible. In addition, what Moceferaja was most eager for was to take vengeance on that measly human!
To accomplish that though, it had to control the Core first.
And to do that it had to face the protector of the Crimson Core. It was a mutant six-armed ape that was several times more monstrous than the beast it had killed not too long ago.
“GROAA!!”
“A mere beast dare bares its teeth at me?! See how I will tear you to pieces!” the demon taunted, its laughter echoing through the air like a haunting melody.
Soon, a battle ensued for many days until the mutant six-armed ape was brought to its knee, obediently kneeling in front of the demon. For Moceferaja, killing this measly beast was like squashing a bug, but what it was truly after was making it and its Core to submit, and of course, tormenting it to its heart’s content.
With the first part of its plan accomplished, what was left was to build an army, but it would take some time until he had a sufficient force… Of course, it was more than willing to wait, as everything shall belong to him.
The demon's laughter echoed through the fog, a chilling symphony of malevolence that sent shivers down the spines of all who heard it.
