Chapter 1

Ah, the smell of the sweet sweet nectar of the flowers and...a-a- and polle-choo! Pardon me... Okay, where was I? Oh yes. The smell of sweet nectar of the flowers and pollen making the unexpected students sneeze like crazy. It may be the season of beauty and love and renewal, but also for sudden allergies. Welcome to Japan, which I have no idea what kind of country is that. All I care about is that this is where the story is gonna happen: here in this random high school in this achoo! Of a country. I am your beloved host, Narrator(don't mistake me with my brothers and sisters who are also named Narrator [my mother and father don't know any other names] )!

Even though I could understand every language thanks to my very trusty Google Translate, I couldn't speak it. Therefore, every language would be English 'cause I can only speak English... I can speak Chinese, but I am more proficient in English. Now, I have to go back to the story. Shit!

For this chapter, it seems we're gonna be focusing on a... shit... a girl. I am suddenly getting flashbacks when my father sent me off on my first mission on narrating a story, but he sent me off to my eldest brother's story (I ended up narrating porn). That was... traumatizing. Ok, this story is not about me, but this girl named Suzuki Miso... Miso soup? Damn, what is with all the stories I have been narrating!? They're all weird-ass shit! I wish I can quit now, but I wouldn't be able to get my monthly salary... Okay, back to the story, we're getting way off track here.

Suzuki Miso walked towards her school, her dress flapping in the wind, occasionally showing small bits of her... panties. The cherry blossom trees turned the sky pink and the petals flew around the students like sparrows. One of these 'sparrows' landed on Miso's hazelnut hair. Miso felt it from all the nerve cells at the roots of her hair and stopped to pick the petal off her hair. She observed the feeble pink leaf-shaped petal before reducing the force on it and let the petal catch the wind to another place at another time.

"Today's going to be my lucky day," Miso thought optimistically, "Today will be a great day."

-----------------------------------------------------------------

"It is not a good day. What was I thinking?" Miso thought as she walked out of the teacher's office.

Her club was in the verge of being disbanded. If she didn't find a fifth member soon...

--------------------------------------------------------------------

"So that's the situation," she explained to her clubmates during recess in the clubroom.

To think that she would have to say goodbye to the limited edition of Angels & Devils that Yuna brought to the clubroom last month as 'motivation'. "Why? I could never catch up to you now, Kayu Mita..." her mind grieved.

"Yo, maybe we should take out that 'No Men' Policy," a girl with panda eyes and a surgical mask covering her mouth suggested.

"No, we can't. After all, Nene is scared of boys, remember?" Miso rebutted.

"You don't need to do this for me, Miso. I don't want to get the club disbanded because of my phobia," a girl with silver hair, who we can assume is Nene, said.

"She's right. And plus, she has to face her fears or she will never be able to get over her fear," a black-haired girl said with a motherly voice while sipping some Darjeeling she prepared in advance.

This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.

"UUUUUHHH! I am torn!" Miso scratched her hair in frustration, "I don't know!"

Suddenly, there was a knock. Then another. Then another. "Come in," the black-haired girl called the source.

"What are you doing, Yuna? We're in the middle of a crisis. We can't just..."

The door slid open and a boy wearing a uniform stepped in the clubroom. "Uhmm, did I go in a bad time?" he asked, looking at the inhabitants of the clubroom and then gave a shocked expression when he heard Nene squeal when his gaze was upon her.

"No no no. Come in," Yuna called the boy in.

"Okay."

"No, leave, boy," Miso ordered the boy while hushing Yuna, but the boy didn't move.

"Hey, I asked you to lea--" Miso was cut off by the boy who immediately replied, "You seemed to be in a desperate need for members. Why ask someone who wants to join go out?"

"Didn't you read the requirements? It said: No Men," Miso stressed her words.

"And you think a writer would care about that?" the boy suddenly changed his voice into one of a pissed-off father.

Miso stayed silent. The boy sighed and then suddenly declared, "From now on, I, Kagami Yuuta, will be acting as a counselor and member of the Creator Club, no matter my gender!"

"What are you doing? Don't just shout from nowhere."

But Miso's words were useless against the loud boy named Kagami Yuuta.

"And Yuna..." the boy looked at Yuna who replied with 'Yes?', "We're even now."

Yuna continued to sip her tea and then nodded.

"Yuna, you know this guy?" the panda-eyed girl asked Yuna.

"Yes. We met two times, Sayu; once during my vacation to Jakarta and another in the LN publishing company building. You ladies are having trouble with your creations so I decided to ask a real expert for assistance," Yuna explained.

"Yeah, but why a man?" Miso asked, pissed off at Yuna's sudden decision behind her back.

"I don't just want to hit two birds, but three birds with one stone," Yuna reasoned, "We need a fifth member, help Nene get over her fear of men, and of course, achieve the club's goal in getting our works famous. Why not ask an actual famous writer?"

"What do you mean?" Miso asked Yuna, now interested in what scheme Yuna was cooking behind her back.

"This boy is not a wannabe creator. He already is one. Have you heard of Kayu Mita?"

--------------------------------------------------------------

"Kayu Mita?" everyone had questioned looks that slowly became surprised faces.

"Isn't that the guy who made that cute romance story of a couple going through life?" Nene inquired.

"Isn't that the guy who made those twisted dark stories where it is supposed to be cute, but it is not?" Sayu inquired.

"Isn't that the guy who made that action web novel that is getting an LN, manga, and anime adaptation!?" Miso jumped from her seat with her eyes shining.

"Yeah, I guess. If that is how you girls think of me..." Yuuta answered with an uninterested voice.

The room became silent. "Could you please leave the room for a minute?" Miso asked Yuuta.

"Not gonna apologize for being rude to me first? Whatever, I'm going outside," Yuuta stepped outside and closed the door.

"Yuna... how the hell do you know him!? Did you ask for his autograph for me!?" everyone but Yuna (and Yuuta outside) bombarded Yuna.

"It was just a coincidence. We only talked for a while and-"

"What favor did he ask you for?" Nene questioned Yuna.

"I-it's nothing. Just a writer-to-writer favour," Yuna desperately answered in an attempt to quell the curiosity of her clubmates.

"Ah, I see."

"So, can we let him in?"

"Of course, we'll let him in!"

The girls then walked towards the door and Miso slid it open to find Yuuta looking out the hall windows."Oi, Kagami Yuuta!?" Miso called him.

"What?"

"Welcome to the club!"

"That's it?" Yuuta unexpectedly responded.

"Huh?"

"You forgot something or was your brain all miso soup like what your name says?" Yuuta teased her.

"That hurts!" Miso pouted her face and then loosened up when she figured it out.

"I'm sorry I acted rude. Please forgive me!" Miso bowed down to her role model.

After a few seconds,  Yuuta walked forward and the following words escaped Yuuta's lips, "I'm sorry too."

Yuuta passed through the girls (Nene jumped and ran to the edge of the room). "Well, your training starts tomorrow. For now, I want to sleep. I haven't been sleeping well ever since I got published. Life sure is hard for a famous human."

The remaining girls except Miso went back inside while Miso looked at the setting sun through the windows. "Maybe today was my lucky day after all..."
