Chapter 3 - Part 10 (Book 1 - Fantasy World)

Han noticed the girl fidgeting and felt he was being too much, deciding to let the girl complete her task.

“Girl, what’s your name?” Han asked her.

Blinking, the girl's voice cracked slightly, "My name is Susie, my Lord.”

Susie used a hand to brush back her red hair out of her eyes.

Reaching into his pocket, Han pulled out gold and held it to Susie.

Placing her hand beneath his, she soon felt a weight being dropped. When he lifted his hand, it was revealed to be gold. Her eyes widened, and she nearly dropped the gold gift in alarm.

In a panic, Susie looked at Han -- her mouth opened wide enough for a fly to buzz into it.

Seeing her expression, Han said, “You were very professional with your explanation and your service. This is a tip for you. Make sure to use it for your future, but I advise not sharing that you got such a gift to too many people.”

Susie gave him a giant smile and bowed, “Thank you, my Lord!”

When she saw him dismissing her, she tried calmly walking back to the counter but had difficulty due to her excitement. Her feet bounced slightly as though she were walking on a trampoline.

Turning back to his creations, Han suggested, “How about we check out the bathing facility.”

Han couldn't help but grin at being able to enjoy time with his creations.

"Though I started this to spend time with them, most of it involved other people," Han mentally shrugged at the thought.

Since Han initially started the journey to explore the world, it didn't bother him in the least to spend it with others he encountered along the way.

Helania, Queen, and Brittany smiled at the thought of what lay before them.

Brittany bit her lower lips as the corner of her lips curved upwards seductively. Her uniform seemed to protest, attempting to contain her breasts as she breathed deeply.

Not waiting for them, Han headed toward the door, exiting the living area and into the entrance hallway.

Opening the door, Han stepped back into the hallway.

Han's eyes moved to look at the rooms leading to Elis and Tom's family. Both doors were closed, and sound wasn't heard from either.

Feeling the heft of the door, Han could tell that it would take a decent amount of energy to open it. This made the chance of sound leaving unlikely.

It wasn't difficult to imagine that nobles may have to discuss information that was sensitive in nature. The sound drifting through the door where anyone could listen wasn't a thought anyone would enjoy.

At the same time, Han imagined that it would be convenient for when nobles wanted to enjoy more rambunctious nightly activities. His thoughts drifted to well-known movies involving masks and large orgies connected to the upper class.

Like Susie had informed them, there were numerous arches with just a curtain providing privacy.

Han looked at the gold-plated signs at the top, which designated the ones for men, women, and mixed. Another one was labeled "Only For The Nobility." On top of it being gold-plated, there was an ornate wooden frame.

Brittany smoothly approached the curtain and pulled one side open to allow Han to enter.

As Han walked past Brittany, he raised a hand to lovingly brush aside her red shoulder-length hair. With his thumb, he caressed her cheek.

Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.

Under Brittany's white skin, her cheeks began to slowly turn pink and then red as she blushed.

"Master," Brittany lovingly cooed as she tilted her head towards his hand.

Walking through the opening, Han walked down the short hallway to a changing area.

On the walls, there were more wall lamps that kept the changing area bright. The light danced as it entered the crystal before creating tiny rainbows on the walls.

Curious, Han moved closer to one of the wall lamps.

Han wondered whether it was similar to what was used on Earth before electricity or if it was some kind of magical device. Based on what Susie had said about the mana crystals needing to be replaced, he had a hunch the light was connected to the magical item.

Han simply said, “Analyze,” and a screen appeared next to the crystal.

[Mana Crystal Wall Lamp

Using the unique characteristics of a mana crystal, a special magical circuit generates light by using a type of crystal that causes light to be emitted upon exposure to mana.

The Great Mage, Gelando Flame, developed the light as an alternative to the burning of oils, which would cause issues such as people breathing in the toxic fumes. There was also the problem of the fumes staining the surroundings and the flames occasionally being the cause of many house fires.

Due to the convenience of the lamp, it has been widely adopted across all nearby kingdoms. These include the Helios Kingdom, the Lunar Empire, the Beast Alliance, the Dwarven Territories, and the isolated Elven Kingdom.]

“Fascinating!” Han exclaimed.

Despite the technological prowess of the kingdom, creating such a wall lamp would've allowed for great strides toward industrialization.

Having light was a resource that was widely limited to wealthier nations, and even then, on Earth, gas, oil, wood, and coal were the best way to illuminate the night. Before light was widely available, business would often be restricted to when the sun was up. But as people were able to work longer, more inventions were able to be developed.

Han understood the significance of having light that burned clean and was safe to use.

"I imagine that replacing the crystal is incredibly easy. This means that the only prohibitive factor was the cost, which is why the quality is better on the floor for nobles." Han couldn't help but grin.

On top of the light, there was also internal plumbing which was a massive leap in technology compared to when people would use chamber pots to collect waste -- tossing it out the window.

Han thought about how he didn't smell any sewage after stepping out of the carriage. With just the number of people he'd seen walking around at night, it would be impossible to hide the smell of bodily waste. The lack of smell indicated that the village had an underground sewer system.

"The pipes also indicate access to clean water," Han smiled.

Seeing the device, Han was extra curious about what the capital looked like, especially if the inn was designed in such a way as to make nobles feel comfortable. Based on his memory, the village was relatively far from the capital. This meant that it would take time for new technologies to fully reach out near the edges of the kingdom.

------------------------

With a cool look at the device, Helania patronizingly said, “These primitive humans are creative in their own ways."

Snorting, Queen sneered, “Master could make something infinitely better. They are merely playing around and not grasping what true power is.”

Queen disliked the idea of any of the creatures outside her Master's domain, impressed with what amounted to toys only beneficial for children.

In the back of Queen's mind, the mental gate moved restlessly as the souls of the dead sensed their Mistress's anger.

Feeling the dead mimicking her feelings made Queen happy, knowing it would be a simple matter of eliminating everything in the world.

"I will make the plead to be useful to our Master," Queen smiled sinisterly.

“Now, Queen, just because they don’t have our abilities doesn’t mean these things aren’t interesting. The fact that they have to struggle is what makes them able to create such interesting tools.” Her Master said to her as he continued to look at the primitive magical tool.

Queen lowered her head, shame welling up from inside her after being reprimanded.

Brittany glanced in her direction before returning to stare at their Master.

-------------------------

Han turned to see that his creations had already removed their clothing, the skirts and tops neatly folded into wicker baskets and tucked into the cubby area.

Brittany walked up to Han, "Master, allow me to help you remove your clothing."

As Brittany lovingly removed his light jacket, shirt, and pants, Han smiled at Helania and Queen.

Helania's black hair was like a waterfall with how it cascaded down her back, nearly covering all of her back. Though her skin wasn't the bone white that Queen's skin was, Helania still had a milky color to it.

In front of her, Helania had her hands clasped together. This only served to press her large breasts together.

Han then looked to Queen, who looked desirable despite having the appearance of a corpse. Compared to Helania, Queen had her hands behind her. This made her chest stick out slightly, letting her breasts sway as Queen shifted her weight.

Queen stared at the floor, avoiding his gaze.

"Come here," Han said to Queen.

Lifting his feet, Brittany removed his socks.

When Brittany stood up, Han wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her closer to him.

Queen walked over to him, having the appearance of a child that had been scolded by their parents. A child that didn't completely understand why she had been reprimanded.

With his free hand, Han lifted up her chin.

"I am not angry with you, so why do you look so sad?" Han asked his beautiful undead creation.
