New world

Aryan was only 17 years old, but even at such a young age, he was very mature. He attended a government school near his home.

Every morning, Aryan would go to school and stay there until around 1 PM. After having lunch, he would head to his part-time job. Through hard work, he earned between 10,000 to 12,000 rupees each month. It was this income that supported his household.

Yes, you’re right—Aryan was poor. But what could he do? Eight years ago, fate took his mother away, and shortly after, his father passed away under mysterious circumstances. Since then, Aryan had been taking care of his younger brother Arin, who was 12, and his little sister Anika, who was only 8.

In short, the entire responsibility of the family was on Aryan’s shoulders. After returning home from his part-time job in the evening, he would spend some time playing with his younger siblings. After that, he would send them to their room to study and head to his own room, where he would sit at his old computer and play “Call of Duty.”

This old computer belonged to his father, and Aryan played games on it for about two hours every evening. Today, as usual, Aryan was playing his game, but something was different. None of his friends were online, so he started playing with a random player. In the game, his name was “Perfect Player.”

In the final round, Aryan was knocked out by the enemy. After being knocked out, he called his random teammate, who was part of his team, to revive him.

However, instead of reviving “Perfect Player” (Aryan), the player rushed toward the enemies. In his haste to go solo, he couldn’t deal much damage to the enemies, and the whole team ended up losing. Aryan’s mood took a turn for the worse, and in frustration, he cursed the foolish player and angrily closed the game. He sat in his chair, still cursing the player.

Just then, an ad popped up on his computer. Aryan moved to click the close button, but to his surprise, there was no close button. Seeing this, he started reading the ad.

“Are you bored? Are you looking for real adventure?”

As soon as Aryan finished reading the ad, a “Yes” button suddenly appeared.

“These companies are weird, tricking people into giving them money,” Aryan muttered to himself. Out of curiosity, he clicked the “Yes” button.

As soon as Aryan clicked “Yes,” his computer screen suddenly turned completely white, and the brightness gradually began to increase.

Seeing the white screen, Aryan grew anxious as the brightness became blinding, forcing him to close his eyes.

“Oh… what’s happening? I can’t see anything! What’s wrong with my computer?” Aryan said, struggling to keep his eyes open.

After a while, when the brightness dimmed a little, Aryan slowly opened his eyes. But even then, he still had trouble seeing clearly.

The reason Aryan couldn’t see clearly was that when the brightness of his computer increased, his pupils had constricted due to the bright light. As the light began to diminish, his vision gradually returned to normal.

“What is this place? How did I get here? This doesn’t look anything like Earth. There’s such a dense jungle all around... Wait a minute, have I somehow ended up in another place? But what place could this be?” Aryan mumbled to himself in confusion.

Just then, a large ant began moving toward Aryan. When Aryan spotted it, he was shocked once again.

“Am I dreaming? Is... is this really an ant? But how can it be this big? This is the largest marvel I have ever seen. Calling it the eighth wonder wouldn’t be wrong. But what place is this? I’ve never seen such a huge ant or even heard of such gigantic trees before,” Aryan said while staring at the enormous ant.

At that moment, the ant started advancing toward Aryan more quickly. Seeing this, Aryan stepped forward and, without thinking, intended to crush it underfoot.

“Ding! An ordinary alien has been killed by the host. Host, you have not acquired any fortunate soul. Please note, the host must extract energy from the prey in order to increase ordinary and other points to level up.” This voice echoed in Aryan’s ears.

“What was that? Where did that voice come from? There’s no speaker or electronic device here, so how is this voice coming? And why did it mention aliens? Anyway, it’s better to leave that for now. The issue at hand is where I am and how to get back home,” Aryan wondered, trying to locate the source of the voice, but he found nothing from where it could be coming. He then decided to ignore this incident and started thinking about how to find a way home.

Suddenly, the same voice echoed again—“An ordinary alien has been killed by the host. Host, you have not acquired any fortunate soul. Please note, the host must extract energy from the prey in order to level up. If energy is not extracted by the host, the host will not be promoted to the next level.”

“One minute, what’s happening? I heard that voice again, but where is it coming from?” Aryan exclaimed, trying to listen carefully to the voice.

The voice began to echo repeatedly, and hearing it made Aryan feel uneasy. He couldn’t understand where the voice was coming from, which started to give him a headache.

Annoyed by the headache, Aryan pressed his hands against his head and sat down. After a while, the pain in his head began to lessen. Covered in sweat, Aryan started wiping his face and body with his hands.

As he was wiping away the sweat, suddenly a screen appeared on his left hand.

“Welcome, Host,” the screen announced. When Aryan saw the screen appearing on his hand, he was filled with astonishment. An unexpected screen had materialized on his hand, and within moments, his 3D image began to display on the screen.

“Hey, that’s my image! And how did this screen come on my left hand, and when?” Aryan exclaimed in astonishment as he looked at his 3D image.

After this, Aryan tried to touch the image on the screen, but he was even more surprised. As soon as he attempted to touch the screen, his hand passed right through it. Suddenly, a gadget-like object appeared on his hand, resembling steel armor. In fact, that gadget had materialized along with the screen but had been in a virtual form. Now the armor had manifested in reality.

Seeing the armor, Aryan tried to pull it off with force, but as soon as the armor lifted about 1 centimeter, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his hand.

“Ouch... Why am I feeling such pain trying to remove this gadget? What is happening to me?” Aryan muttered while staring at the gadget.

“Dear host, you are attempting to remove this gadget. Please do not attempt to remove it again. If you do and the gadget is successfully removed, it will explode, destroying your hand. This precaution is in place to ensure that your information does not go elsewhere and that the host remains completely safe. This gadget stores all of the host’s information,” a warning voice came from the screen, preventing Aryan from removing the gadget.

After hearing this, Aryan tried to touch the screen again, but this time he touched his 3D image. As he did so, his complete information was displayed on the screen, and a voice began to speak:

Host:Aryan

Ordinary Points: 0

Native Points: 0

Mutant Points: 0

Secret Points: 0

Level: 0

Experience: 0 required

Strength: 20

Physique: 33

Speed: 32

Skill: 0

Overall Combat Strength: 85

“Requirement to level up: 100 points,” the voice echoed in Aryan’s ears.

“What are these Ordinary Points, Native Points, Mutant Points... and why is this screen telling me about them? I don’t understand anything. These concepts are going right over my head,” Aryan found himself in a state of confusion.

And he should have been confused, as everything happening around him made no sense at all. It was like a boat cutting through the waters of the sea, these thoughts tangled in Aryan’s mind.

“Host, please extract energy from the Ordinary Alien.” Just then, a screen emerged from the gadget in Aryan’s hand, and a red laser beam shot out from it, striking the large ant.

Seeing this, Aryan walked closer to the large ant and began to examine it closely.

“Host, please note that you can extract energy from the alien in two ways:

1. First Method: You can eat the flesh of this alien to gain energy and increase your points.

2. Second Method: You can also extract energy through your device (gadget), but this method will yield less energy and points.”

Hearing this, Aryan decided to skip the first option and choose the second one. He avoided the first option because he didn’t like eating meat, and here he was being advised to eat the flesh of an alien ant.

As soon as Aryan heard “alien flesh,” he felt nauseous. But he somehow managed to control himself.

“Host, would you like to obtain energy through your gadget, or would you prefer to eat this alien to boost your energy?” A sweet voice came from the gadget.

“Oh, this gadget talks as if the alien is some carrot or beet that can be easily eaten. I don’t know what place I’ve ended up in; nothing makes sense. And on top of that, this gadget is insisting on giving me bizarre tasks,” Aryan said in frustration, as everything felt very strange to him.

Saying this, Aryan pressed the “Yes” button on the screen, which offered the option to extract energy through the gadget.

“The host has chosen the second option. Please note, the process of extracting energy has begun.” With this announcement, a green laser emitted from the gadget, striking the alien ant directly. As the green laser hit the ant, it began to dissolve slowly. This was happening because the green laser had drained all the energy from the alien. Aryan was astonished once again.

“Wow, this ant was in perfect condition before the laser hit, and now it has completely dried up, as if not a single drop of blood remains. It’s just like a plant—when it receives water, it thrives, but once the water supply stops, it quickly wilts.” Aryan thought, sitting down next to the ant and reaching out to touch it. As soon as his hand made contact, the ant turned into a pile of dust.

“Host, you have gained 1 Ordinary Point. Your total points are:

Ordinary Points: 1

Native Points: 0

Mutant Points: 0

Secret Points: 0

Level: 0

Experience: 0

Strength: 21

Physique: 33

Speed: 32

Skill: 0

Overall Combat Strength: 86

Aryan was not particularly happy to hear this, as he was still troubled by the worry of returning home. The problem was that he had no idea where he currently was.

As Aryan drowned in this confusion, suddenly he heard a voice from in front of him.

“Hey, you fool! Get out of the way, or you’ll be trampled!”

A boy, riding on his Fortunate Soul, was rushing toward Aryan at high speed. It was an ordinary Fortunate Soul on which the boy was mounted.

When Aryan saw the Fortunate Soul in front of him, he froze in place, for it was a six-legged rhino. Aryan had never seen a six-legged rhino before, and the sight astonished him.

Just then, a boy pushed him out of the way of the Fortunate Soul, but in his attempt to save Aryan, he ended up injuring himself.

The shove brought Aryan back to his senses, and he immediately ran to help the boy.

“Hey, fool! You’ve ruined the mood! Who told you to stand in the way of the Fortunate Soul? Man, I want to give you the award for the biggest stupidity of this century, and you deserve it! You could have been trampled by that Fortunate Soul!” The boy scolded Aryan angrily, brushing dust off his clothes.

“Brother, forgive me. I was frozen in place seeing that rhino because I had never seen a six-legged rhino before,” Aryan said, apologizing.

“What? Are you really thinking of this place as Earth? If you are, then you truly deserve the award for the biggest stupidity of this century,” the boy laughed and mocked Aryan after hearing his words.

“Dude, have you taken some cheap drugs? No offense, but either you’re high, or you’ve just arrived here,” the boy said, looking skeptical.

“Brother, I really just got here. I don’t know anything about this place. Moreover, there’s a strange gadget on my left hand that tells me about bizarre tasks. I can’t make sense of any of this. So please, tell me about it,” Aryan pleaded.

“Alright, I have no problem with that, but first tell me your name,” the boy said, preparing to share information but wanting to know Aryan’s name first.

Hearing this, Aryan happily told the boy his name.

“Look, Aryan, my name is Harish, and I’m also an Earthling like you. I should inform you that we are no longer on Earth. We are currently on a planet called ‘Pole’ in the pole solar system of a star that is 6 light years away from Earth.”

“What? We’re in another solar system?” Aryan exclaimed, wide-eyed. He couldn’t believe Harish’s words and looked at him again. Harish nodded, confirming that what he said was true. As soon as Aryan saw him confirm, he immediately collapsed to the ground in shock.
