"Were... were you serious when you meant this is passed from Omoikane? Because... wouldn't that mean... gods actually exist?" Aiko asked as she slightly raised her hand.
"That's correct! You know, everything you call mythology is most likely true! The Greek gods exist, the Norse gods exist, and our gods, the Japanese gods, exist! Furthermore, Omoikane is watching us right now. I mean, this is his library, after all!"
"So in short, I have the ability to open portals on spaces that are big enough for a human to fit through, like walls or sometimes the floor. Those portals lead to this dimension. Inside here, the time passes differently than on earth, and every time the portal opens, the time links up with earth's time. Not exactly, but enough for us to pass through. Now that the portal is closed again, the time on earth passes so slow that it would seem as if it's standing still... any questions to this point?"
As Miyo blurted all of this out in a matter of seconds, the three sitting across her stared at her with eyes wide open. Isamu even had his mouth stand open a little. Both sides of the table stared at each other in silence. The two women were as calm as can be while Miyo brightly smiled at them, but the three were rather stunned by all the information.
"I can see you don't really follow me... so, let me show you! Omo, can you bring me the book about the espers' creation?!" Miyo yelled with a big smile on her face. As she finished her request, a light appeared above them.
All of them focused on the light that slowly moved to the side of their table and into Kane's hand. Upon landing in his hand, the light turned into a large book with a purple cover on which was written in black letters... or at least they thought it was letters.
"The origin of the espers, as you requested." The man set the book onto the table and left the terrace in the direction of what Miyo called the start of the shelves. "You see? The light was Omoikane summoning the book I asked him to, and Kane was originally created by Omoikane as a nameless caretaker of this library, and I named him in the end. He's the only one that receives the summoned books."
"So... You're casually talking to a god and even making him bring you books?" Fudo looked at the book while not being sure how he should feel about the entire god situation they have going on at the moment. "I'm asking him to bring me books, and he does so. Omo is the only god I respect, so I'm not going to use him for everything I want. I'm just having him help me navigate his entire library."
"While we're at it, let me explain some things too. You two who already have espers should be able to see something that we named *stats*. Every esper user has them, and they exist to be able to rank the espers. You should be able to see espers as a kind of video game item, it comes with stats, ranks, and espers are even able to level. The ranks go from G to a triple S rank, with G being the weakest while triple S is, of course, the strongest."
Kaiyo took off the sword sheath from her back and put it on display next to the book. "For example, this is a double S esper, coming directly after triple S. Now, to the ways of becoming an esper host, or just Esper. Every person wears a material inside of them that we in our work call Elysium, and killing a person will release that material. The espers are made entirely from that material, so that is one way; Kill enough humans to forge an esper out of the Elysium."
Miyo picked up the book lying next to the sword and opened it while Kaiyo was ending her explanation. The book started to glow and shined and projected a hologram above itself. "Of course, there are other ways. One way is also killing an Esper, and if you're fitting, their esper will take you as their new host, but there are also some less... violent ways."
She flipped through the pages until the hologram started showing large planets that no one of them has ever seen before. They were already insanely focused on the unknown planets, but the hologram began to focus on a dark silhouette of a human that was big enough to fit multiple planets in the very palm of his hand.
"This is the very first esper. We've never given it a name, but we expect it to be the very cause of the big bang. In addition to that, this is the creator of all things we know and the direct creator of the first espers. These espers were more than lifeless objects that seek out the nearest human to follow them. These espers had free will and were more than gods. Some of them turned into planets, some of them decided to die. All in all, the only espers still existing from that period are the four divine beings. The one's ruling over Time, Space, Life and Death, and Chaos. Those are the only things that affect espers."
Miyo closed the books with a loud sound following it, and the serious look on her face disappeared with the hologram. "It used to be five divine beings, but Chaos decided to kill the fifth one, who was Order since there was nothing that Chaos hated more. Those five then decided to create more of their kind, and the espers coming from them roamed the entire universe."
"It eventually went on with that until some espers came together and created this earth with the blessings of the divine beings. Those espers were what humans call gods. One of these gods then created a human, that human is known as Adam, and gave him an esper that he created himself. This brought the other gods to also create humans and give them espers, which was the beginning that espers into our world." Kaiyo added to Miyo's explanation.

Though, only Aiko seemed to be able to follow what they were saying. Isamu stared as he at least tried to understand them, but Fudo looked as if he already gave up long ago. "So... espers created us, but we have the ability to create espers as well?" Aiko asked while trying to sort everything in her head. The other two had their heads ringing already.
"Yes, but the esper you create won't be able to do more than what it was born to do. If you create an esper, then it will design itself based on you and design the ability based on the situation it was created in. Also, only a Noes can create an esper, as every other person will already have an esper. So, if you want to create an esper, you have to destroy your current one. In other words, kill your esper in your greed for more power... which is impossible for you, by the way, Isamu."
Isamu looked up from the blank stare of the pure overwhelming of information. "W-what? Why?" He didn't completely understand what she said in combination with his name, but he asked just to seem as if he paid attention.
"Your esper is your heart. If you try to destroy it, you'll kill yourself!" Miyo said with a smile as if she said something totally normal right now. "So... I heard that word, Noes... that guy before also called me that, what does it mean?" Fudo looked up from burying his face in his arms.
"Basically, it's the super uncreative way of addressing normal humans. We say Noes which just stands for; no esper. Same for the guy you keep mentioning. That was a Yami, corpses that are possessed by espers that were too strong for their host to control... we call them Yami because no matter what esper it is that controls them, their skin will always turn grey." Miyo calmly explained before Kaiyo started to snicker.
"But, normally their skin is grey all the time, only a level zero Yami still has human skin, that's the weakest kind of Yami. The type that's not really different from a normal human." Her snickering slowly evolved into loud laughter. "I still can't believe you all nearly died from that! Furthermore, isn't your skin supposed to be super hard or something? You should have been able to beat him up just fine!" She continued to make fun of them as she pointed at Fudo. Though, her laughing quickly stopped as Miyo actually gave her an uppercut.
"... Can you just tell us the non-violent way of getting an esper...?" Fudo was about to erupt into anger again but remembered the aura he felt from her the last time, so he kept quiet. "Oh yeah, it's just being chosen by an esper. Sometimes, strong espers choose a person that's like their creator and make them their new host... you know what?"
Miyo started smirking again and pointed over to a black door in the corner behind them. "Aishi, do you see that door over there? Can you go through and get the golden grail that's in there and bring it back? That would be the perfect example to show that kind of esper."
Aiko turned around and stared at the door before she stood up and hesitantly walked towards it. "Oh, if you see a human in there, come back as fast as you can. That could be dangerous for you!" Hearing that, Fudo slapped the table as hard as he could and with wide eyes. "Eh?! You want to send her straight into danger?! I'll go in her stead if you really need that esper!"
Miyo stopped her smirking and looked back at him with an unamused face. "No, she will go, and you will stay." Fudo bit his teeth together as they only stared each other into the eyes. "Fufu, I can go! Don't worry about me, please!" Aiko yelled from behind them, as she already held the door handle. Fudo and Isamu both looked back at Aiko with the same worried look.
"I really can! Please don't look so worried!" She yelled at them, previously sounding as if she only wanted to calm them down, but now she just sounded annoyed by them for not trusting her. She ripped the door wide open, revealing another dark portal inside. She didn't look back as she was about to pass through it and took the first step.
"Please come back as soon as you see a human, don't get yourself into unnecessary danger!" Fudo yelled after her as she already fully stepped into the portal.
For a short moment, Aiko was completely in the dark before she saw another dark door in front of her. The door resembled the one that she just came through, but it also seemed different, not from the design but rather from the feeling Aiko had as she looked at it. This time, she grabbed the handle of the door more hesitantly than she did with the other one. She didn't know what she would see when she'll open the door, but as soon as she grabbed the handle, she also pushed the door wide open.
"A...house?" As she opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was a hallway of what seemed to be a traditional Japanese house. Everything looked from their time, though, so she didn't feel like she traveled in time. "Hm?" A sound came from right in front of her. She started to shiver strongly and looked straight forward, just to see what she feared she could see; a human standing right in front of her.
