Cosmic Pilgrimage
Prologue 1 : Nirvana

Prologue 1 : Nirvana

A white swan flew to the stalwart mountain, braving chilling winds and snow storms. It was a magnificent bird, larger than any other bird on the horizon, reflecting the blue sky and red sun in its feathers. It flew through the treacherous currents, even in the bitter cold, without complaint, carrying its lord to the end of his journey.

As usual, the Kailasa was impressive. The ancient mountains loomed against the sun, shrouded in thick white snow. The peaks were covered in darkness; not even Ravi, the sun god, dared to peer into the abode of the Mightiest of Existence. The god resting on the back of the swan slowly spread his presence, bringing golden light with it. In a lonely cave at the end of the universe, destruction opened his eyes.

"Brahma," a timeless voice, welcomed the god. "Shiva," Brahma acknowledged as he descended on Kailas, the swan, erased from existence as he left. In Padmasana, the god of destruction sat naked. The rough leather and Nagas that adorned him had long since faded into the river of time. The last Ganga's drops traced his hair, flowing down his chest and freezing into snowflakes. "Time?" Shiva opened his two eyes and spoke. While staring into eyes that contained galaxies, black holes, and known and unknown horrors of creation, Brahma gave the universe's final verdict, "Time."

Shiva arose, everything ceasing to exist around him. Brahma's essence collapsed into specks of light flying towards Shiva, merging into the source. "Vishnu", Shiva sought over the infinite ocean at the far end of the universe." Shiva," a young man with a dark complexion returned with a lazy gaze.

"Witness, let Karma be complete." Shiva took the first stance, Nataraja, with one leg raised and infinite arms holding mudras. Vishnu smiled as he witnessed the dance. The first dance, primal, chaotic, and complete, continued with the one audience.

Shiva continued to dance, matter and energy blending into pure information. As order faded away, chaos grew. When the canvas of space-time receded, chaos ended. All eleven dimensions vanished into oblivion. Logic's abstractness lost its meaning. Nothing remained but two ideas, one witnessing the other.

Shiva paused his mudras in front of his sole witness, waiting for the caretaker of all existence to speak. "Open," Vishnu said, willing himself out of existence as the final words crossed the void to reach the destroyer. The third eye opened in the final act of the cosmic dance, consuming everything and nothing.
