Fall of Egorold. Part I.

_The sky was grim-dark for the third day. Everebody in the fort understood something went wrong. Only the battle corps of mages cheered each other up, joking about a nice brawl.

_I was called into the high Mage room to talk with the Entiros. Everebody knew I was his favourite student, and there were lots suspicious looks on me going to the high Mage. His appartments were in the lowest tower of 5-towers Magi Tower, but it always took the most time to klimb up this stairs. Students say the tower was enchanted by him and hid lots of other secrets, that could be seen only by the most experienced in the illusion magic sorcerers. I knew, some students tend to tell they could see something else there, but I've never seen anything except stone walls and long spiral stairs. It usually took different time to climb up, perhaps it depended on the high Mage mood, and this day I climbed up in about 1 minute.

_Entiros sat in his crimson and white and somehow iridescent throne. The arts of illusion magic were the most admiring. Stories said the whole Egorold nation was first brought to its civilisation peak by the first mages strong in illusion magic. Earlier the magic art called shamanic craft and use of it took much more concentration and power...

_The high Mage's face was noble, pale, it seems paler than ever, and the face was tense. He haven't noticed me at the moment I approached his throne. Then, after a few moments he at last turn his eyes into me. I've never could stay this gaze for more than few second before, but this time I could. That were amazing silver eyes with big dark pupils. His gaze was wery deep and alienated, but in the same time it was friendly and familiar. I shuddered. A strange feeling suddenly infected me. I heard cries nd sounds of some big battle. I thought it was my imagination, but the feeling and visions repeated with the more intense.

_"You know", - I heard Entiros's voice. Through the images of people desperatedly charging the strange iron golems, who seems could not be hurt with any weapon, except fire magic, I could hear his deep and calm voice. "The greatest art of Illusion magic can be transfered in every mind just in two moments. But it's the discipline of mind we try to teach you. The one not prepared for such knowledge will go mad. Such a madman could do lots of harm to all the living beings and the whole university."

_There was a bloody mess in the field I could see. Some people tried to run away the Golems, that sometimes threw thunders killing doomed warriors. Two of creatures steamed but still went forward. It was a relentless march. Nobody could stand these devilish intruder's power. "Sorry, I don't completely understand, my master" - answered me, as Entiros continued: "The real understandniss can't be got through the logical thinking. Actually you're the student, who understands the case more than others around here. And...", he mumbled, -  Anyway, we have no other oportunitie". "Whada you mean master..."

_Instead of answering the great mage turned to me his face and I saw some strange organ opens between and little above his eyebrows. I heard the rumors of the third eye before, but newer thought it was true. The dark point in the eye caught and swallowed my attention. In the first moment... well... I would say the whole eternity flow through my mind... visions, I saw from different sides. Lives I lived through. Unimaginable feelings and plots I experienced from different minds... And in the second moment I already knew everything about Illusion Magic. Amazed, I looked up, and there was Entiros watching me with a light sadness on his... her face! Entiros was a woman. Gorgeous, beautiful and... tired. Even overtired. I could tell she was a very ancient creature.
