WELCOME

CAPTAIN MACREADY THANK YOU FOR ACTIVATING C.A.L PROTOTYPE UNIT 000

OBSTRUCTION IN RECIEVER IS PREVENTING UPLINK WITH THIS UNIT. IF THIS STATION IS TO OPERATE AT 100% EFFICIENCY THIS OBSTRUCTION MUST BE REMOVED.

“Damn it Stevens, I told you to fix that dish 3 days ago.” Macready said with a stern tone.

“The cold on this planet has been kicking our asses lately captain, without the life support suits there wasn’t much I could do.” Stevens sat back in his swivel chair with an exasperated sigh.

“Well now that C.A.L has been booted up, it would be happy to assist you. C.A.L, activate the life support suits in maintenance tunnel Gamma.”

The calm voice of a woman rang out from the speakers surrounding the sleek, yet retro, terminal.

“It can talk?” Stevens asked with a disturbed look on his face.

“It is an experimental machine, comes with all the newest tech.” The Captain explained.

“As if this place wasn’t creepy enough already.” Stevens stood up and walked toward the exit, the metallic door made a mechanical whir and allowed him through, closing swiftly behind him. Macready started for the exit when a prompt flashed on the terminal.

ACTIVATE AUTOMATIC LOG SYSTEM?

YES NO

Macready walked over to the terminal, without thinking much about it, he pressed yes. “This will save me a lot of time, thank goodness.” Macready made for the exit, as he exited the power to the room was cut off, terminals went black and lights shut off slowly, but C.A.L remained active as it performed it’s final task for the day.
