Chapter -3 Relentless Struggle

Outside the NATO conference hall

On one side of the world people died horrendously without even being to able to protect themselves. On the other side there were two people who were happily spending their time without a concern for others. The two men were quite influencial and wealthy.

One of them was the president of united states Luke Alabaster and the other was the person who started the madness on the otherside of the world and the former accomplice of gajendra. Wearing a dark hat and a mask to hide his disgusted figure.

“You are quite useful ,you know”

“Being able to persuade gajendra into spreading the virus and even containing the virus within India as well not letting it escape outside was truly spectacular.”

“This one is honored.”

“Yes, you are.”

After saying these the two of them walked near café and began relinquishing the beautiful scenery of this place.

Confused the shady individual asked the president,

“what?”

“People living without care. Simply learning what we want them to learn. By manipulating social media and restricting all access from Asian countries, people surely don’t know what’s happening outside or the fact about the one who’s pulling all the strings. Truly ignorance is a bliss.”

Seeing as the mysterious individual to not reacting to his sarcasm the president spoke,

“I have a job for you. Can you do it?”

“….”

“I consider your silence as a yes. Though I would want to discuss the matter right away .But there are many eyes and ears around this place. You should talk to my secretary he will provide you with the details.”

“Yes. But I have a question? Do I have your permission to speak?”

Being confused if the latter was the question the president asked,

“Was the latter the question?”

“No”

“Then speak what shall be spoken.”

After hesitating for a bit the mysterious individual finally spoke

“Is the existence of patient zero confirmed?”

“…”

It was now luke’s turn to be silent .In his position it is dangerous either to confirm or deny his existence.

“Please can you tell-“

“I’m afraid this meeting has gone long enough. It’s time to leave.”

Luke frantically began to arrange his things and prepare to depart.

“…Yes. Thank you for your precious time”

“Same to you.”

Saying this the president left. Sitting in his vehicle smoking a cigar the president began to call someone.

“Hello. Long time no see.”

“How long has it been anyway?”

“Two days”

“Then that isn’t a fucking long time!!”

Retorting profusely, the person then asked,

“Why have you called? Did something happened?”

“Yes. Someone’s been asking a lot a questions.”

“….I see.”

“Please run a background check on Samuel.”

“Ah. The person who came to visit you today. Did he cause any harm?”

“No at least not now. But who knows in the future he may stand as a thorn on our road.”

“Then I’ll issue an order to kill as urgent as possible”

“Please do so. But make it after the assignment. We don’t want our bright student to drop out before the first semester.”

“Talking like a hotshot again though I don’t mind .Then I bid you farewell Mr. President.”

Saying so the phone disconnected. Luke then began speaking as if in a trance

“Looks like things will get hectic here. I must prepare.”
