Hi everyone. It's been a while. I'll get right into the meat of things because I don't like beating around the bush. There's good news and then some other good news that some might perceive as bad news!
First good news, I have a new story! It's called Runes and Brews (Book 1 title is "Trouble Brewing" in case you thought I was done with puns). I won't spoil anything but if you wanna read the synopsis I'll throw it in a spoiler:
Spoiler: Spoiler
How does a coward live out his dreams of adventure?
At last, Theo’s found a way -- vicariously. When he arrives in Romuen, the grand City of Adventurers, his plan is set: establish his shop, and supply the heroes with all the alchemical wares and enchanted creations they might need. Even better, he'll do it for a fair price.
Little does he know, Theo brewed up more trouble than potions.
When his fellow merchants come sniffing around with threats and thugs, Theo sees through Romuen's gleaming glass walls to the corruption within. Before long, he’s caught up in the middle of a silent war he didn’t realize he’d signed up for.
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
With a handsome adventurer on one side and his loyal companions on the other, he has allies. But he's the one that'll have to make the final choice -- his dreams, or his safety.
And he'd better decide fast, because his troubles are about to boil over.
The extra good news about this is I held off posting this story until I had the entire thing complete. So there will be absolutely no delays in the release of book 1 because it's complete!
Onto the other good-bad news. Construct Your Fate. The story isn't dead! Hooray! However, it's also sort of dead. Basically, I've grown so much as an author (I hope it shows with this new novel), and this story had so many built up first-time-author mistakes that I've decided to just entirely rework the system and plot. There will still be most of the characters you've come to know and love, but just with... better writing. And actual plot rather than whatever this story was.
As an update about myself, I'm still in grad school now pursuing my doctorate in Physical Therapy. It's kept me exceedingly busy. So busy, in fact, that this other novel I worked on took as long as it did. That's why I waited until book 1 of Runes and Brews to be finished.
If you decide to check it out, I hope you like this story. Stay tuned with this story if you're interested in the CYF reboot, whenever I have time to work on that. Have I mentioned I'm very busy lately?
Thanks for reading if you made it this far :)
