The four legendary conquerors stand face to face with the king of Eidolon in the royal throne room. They have fought long and hard to get here. Many battles have been waged and countless have died, in the pursuit of victory.
Yes these four legendary warriors are know throughout the land in which they have spilled much blood in pursuit of their ideals.
Aria, a woman of unparalleled talent in martial arts and channeling of her spirit into fighting techniques.
Bethesda, a genius alchemist and artificer. A man that has created many powerful weapons, potions and artifacts.
Catalin, a mage known all the world over. His spells of impenetrable defenses and devastating destruction.
Dominus, the leader of the group. He is a master of many weapons and a charismatic man that inspires people to action.
These four warriors who have conquered all the lands stand face to face with the king of Eidolon, Eugene. Eugene is the current ruler of Eidolon and has been steadily losing ground over the past few years to the fearsome four and their armies. He is a powerful necromancer, perhaps the most powerful in all of Eidolon.
“Your time is up Eugene.” The leader, Dominus speaks up. “We have come for your head. You have lost this war, the very people that were supposed to be serving you joined our ranks and aided our war efforts over the years and rised up against you. You will now cede the throne to me and we will rebuild this world as we see fit.”
“I refuse.” The king responds pointedly.
“There is no use fighting Eugene.” Bethesda interjects. “You are alone now, your armies dead, and there is an armada at our backs, even if we should fail to kill you. There is no way out anymore.”
“Oh I am very aware of my plight. But If I cannot rule this world, then I will damn well make sure, neither do you four!” Eugene brings a bright red crystal out from under his robe.
The four warriors gasp in shock, they can all feel the dark power emanating from it.
“It cannot be!” Bethesda exclaims, “Where did you get a philosopher's stone?”
“You would be amazed, the treasures you can amass, when you rule over an empire for a hundred years.” The king laughs madly. The crystal floats upwards from his outstretched palm and begins to glow brightly. “Oh source of the god’s power, hear my desire. I banish these four to a fearsome world and into weak bodies they shall go, to spend the rest of their days cowering before giants.”
The red light from the philosopher's stone glows so brightly at this point that our four heroes can no longer see anything.
----------------------------------------
Dominus wakes up with a start. He is lying on top of a soft bedding made out of straw or hay, or something like that. He is in a cage, a steel cage, with open bars in front.
As he looks around the room, he realises that there are many other steel cages here. The room is poorly illuminated so he can not tell if anyone else is trapped in these many cages.
He knows that he is in another world, that he will have to start from scratch. He considers his situation and deduces that he has started his new life as a slave, as this is clearly some kind of slavers market. No matter, that just means there as a longer path to glory this time round, which means all the more glory to be had on his journey to greatness.
“Aria- Bethesda- Catalin-” He calls out to his comrades in the hopes that they are nearby.
“Dominus, my lord, is that you?” Aria is the first to respond.
“Yep, I’m here.” Catalin answers the call too.
“I see we are all still present.” and lastly, Bethesda.
“Good. I’m glad to hear that everyone is alright.” Dominus is relieved.
“I don’t know if I would go as far as to call this alright.” Bethesda complains. “I’m a monkey!”
Dominus thinks it strange, as that is not a term he would use to describe Bethesda.
“An actual fucking live monkey!”
“So it is not just me.” Catalin adds, “I’ve become a cat!”
Dominus looks himself over for visual confirmation that he too is in an animal's body, but this was entirely unnecessary, as by some force, he already knew what he was. “I’m a possum.”
He waits a moment and asks Aria, “Aria, what has become of you.” However, Aria remains silent. “ARIA!”
Reluctantly she finally answers, “I’ve become a chicken.”
“Hahahahaha!” Catalin laughs his heart out, “The greatest warrior of hand to hand combat of all time, has become a chicken!” He continues laughing away.
“Shut up!” Aria responds angrily.
“Soooo. Oh great and fearless leader, what now?” Catalin asks after he is finally able to stop his laughter.
“First we must escape from these cages. Bethesda, can you still use your magic?”
“I will give it a try.” Bethesda attempts to use his metallurgy magic on the door of his cage. “I think it will work, my magic is very weak at the moment, but given a little effort I should be able to melt the lock on this cage.”
“Excellent news. As soon as you are out, free the rest of us.”
Bethesda manages to melt the lock of his cage and quickly steps out. He naviagates over to Aria’s cage and begins working on her lock.
He notices that the room around him is strange though. At first he thought he was in some kind slave market, but the room around him is adorned with scrolls of all kinds of information regarding things ranging from nutrition to animal biology. What is quite strange is that the foreign writing on these scrolls that he has never seen before is legible to him.
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
There is also a glass closet at one end of the room with many small vials of mysterious potions secured in it. Any way he looks at it, this seems more like some kind of laboratory. This room has only one door and one small window letting in light from above.
He has already finished freeing Aria and Catalin, and is now working on Dominus’ cage.
Just then the door swings open and a woman casually strolls into the room. She is tall with long brown hair and has an enormous bust that is stretching the limits of her top. She is wearing a strange thin white coat and a black pants.
“Hurry!” Dominus whispers to Bethesda anxiously. He suspects the woman is a fighter, there are few other reasons for her to be wearing trousers.
The woman raises her hand towards the wall, some kind of magic gesture, as she conjures a light source within the room.
Dominus is finally freed and springs out of his cage, just as the woman notices the four warriors for the first time. “What the? How did you get out of your cages.” She reaches for a mop at her side, in order to defend herself. “Gary! Help!”
“She is calling for reinforcements! Take her down, quickly.” Dominus immediately issues a command. He already knows that this woman is some type of fighter and in addition to this, she used light magic so easily and now wields a staff. “Careful guys, she’s a warrior monk.”
“A warrior monk? I have never seen a female monk before.” Aria exclaims as she takes a step forward, but quickly pauses when she realises that she has no idea how to fight in hand to hand combat, with chicken wings.
Her trepidation does not go unnoticed by Catalin and he does not miss the opportunity to mock her for it, “Chicken!”
“Says the scaredy cat hiding behind Bethesda!” She retorts.
“They’re talking! The animals are talking!” The woman shouts out hysterically, to no one in particular. She starts swinging her mop around wildly, in front of her, trying to ward of the abnormal animals.
Bethesda has already started charging her, being the most powerful animal in the group he did not feel intimidated like the rest of them.
Just as he is about to reach her however, Gary arrives. “What’s going on Frezna?” He enquires. Gary is a short and fat man, unlike the good looking Frezna. “What the?”
Bethesda momentarily stops his charge, he did not expect to have to deal with two opponents so quickly. He decides to take on Gary first, the new guy may be a threat and all the woman has done so far is panic.
Unfortunately for him Gary is an animal catcher that was about to leave for the days work, he already has his weapon of choice in hand. Gary brings his animal control stick around before Bethesda even realises what is happening, and hooks the wire loop over his head.
By the time Bethesda realises he has been captured, the noose around his neck has already tightened. Bethesda struggles to free himself from the strange weapon, but the experienced animal catcher has him pinned down good and proper.
Aria tries moves to assist him, but one of the woman’s wild swings strikes her in her side and sends her skidding across the floor. “Dammit Frezna, don’t hurt them we’re supposed to be the goddamn A.P.S!” Gary scolds her while he continues his wrestling match with Bethesda.
Dominus climbed up a nearby high shelf during all the chaos, one that puts him at eye level with the man restraining Bethesda. He launches himself through the air with the intention of attacking the mans face. Hopefully he can do enough damage to get him to let go of Bethesda and give him a chance to free himself.
Unfortunately the man spots Dominus’ flight and jerks his head out of the way instinctively. Dominus sails through the air past Gary’s face, all the while glaring at him. Dominus manages to at least land safely on a nice soft surface. He looks up from his perch, at the face of a woman who has been frozen stiff with abject horror, at the possum that has landed on top of her enormous breasts.
“Don’t just sit there, do something!” Dominus can hear Aria shouting after him as she recovers from the blow she took. Dominus doesn’t need to be told this though, he knows now is the time to make a move, he is literally atop the heart of his enemy here.
He decides to make his next move, relying purely on instinct. Dominus rolls over onto his left side, curls up a little bit and sticks his paws out into the air stiffly. The woman is still frozen in terror and has yet to make a move or a sound.
Catalin has casually walked up to the woman’s feet amidst all the confusion and looks up at Dominus. “I don’t think a possum playing dead on top of a woman’s breasts is a very sound military strategy.” Catalin says mockingly.
Dominus can’t help but feel embarrassed, when he decided to fight with his instincts, this is not what he had in mind! Catalin launches himself upwards and hooks his cat claws into the top of the woman’s shirt, and supports himself like that for a moment.
“Sorry about this baby.” Catalin apologies to Frezna in advance. “Normally I do more foreplay first.” With that Catalin infuses mana into his claws, making them about several times sharper than normal. His ultra sharp claws no longer grip the fabric of the woman’s shirt, but instead start gliding through them as gravity does its work and pulls him down.
Catalin lands on his feet with a satisfied smirk on his face and Frezna’s shirt and bra have been shredded, right down the middle. Her ample cleavage bursts forth now that they have been released from their shackles and her large breasts explode outwards through her now open top. Dominus is flung off them, from the sudden burst of momentum and lands on top a nearby counter.
Gary’s mouth hangs open at the sight of those massive jugs and eyes trace up and down following the path of Frezna’s large nipples as they bounce up and down a few times, as if he is a snake caught by a snake charmer.
Frezna screams and tries to cover her breasts with her arms as she drops to her knees, but those tiny arms of hers are not really able to cover much. Gary is still standing there completely entranced by the bountiful tits in front of him and has totally forgotten about Bethesda, who has already managed to escape thanks to the distraction.
“The enemies ranks are falling apart! Retreat!” Dominus instructs his group and all four of them run out of the room at breakneck speed. As they leave the room Dominus glances back at all the cages that are left behind, with many animals still trapped inside. Don’t worry friends, I shall one day return and liberate you, this I swear upon my name!
The four of them run into the adjacent room and scan their surroundings for an exit. The room is covered in shelves with all kinds of goods on them, with painting of animals on most of them. Dominus suspects it is some kind of shop.
“There!” Aria calls out, pointing her head and beak at an opening in the wall that seems like a window. The four of them climb, jump or ‘fly’ out of the window and for the first time taste fresh outdoor air.
The four of them look around. In every direction, as far as they can see, there are tall buildings that reach up into the sky, threatening to touch the heavens.
“A city for giants!” Bethesda exclaims. “We have indeed come to a dangerous place.”
Dominus notices that several humans in the distance have stopped walking and are staring at them. Not good, if we draw attention to ourselves like this, the A.P.S are definitely going to track us.
Dominus is busy pondering which direction to go, when all of a sudden an enormous metal armoured beast runs past them at an unbelievable speed.
“That monster was bigger than a horse. And armoured!” Bethesda exclaims.
“I wouldn’t want to tangle with that thing.” Catalin adds.
“Actually that thing already ate two people I saw them inside the beast.” Aria remarks.
“Huh, It looked to me like they were riding the creature.” Bethesda interejects.
Dominus can’t help but think that no matter whether they were eaten by it or riding it, both are equally terrifying ideas for the four of them.
“This truly is a terrifying world!”
“Let’s go, this way.” Dominus leads the four of them around the corner and into a dark alleyway.
The four of them disappear into the shadows and leave behind the shop which brought them to this world, above which glows a bright sign: A.P.S - Animal Protection Society.
