In a flash, I found myself standing in a small, open field, the towering trees obscuring the passage of time. The branches stretched out, casting a dappled light upon the scene. Before me, a wooden chest adorned with gold accents stood just a foot away, beckoning me to approach, as if I were a player in a video game ready to gather my first equipment.
Elheim's words echoed in my mind, reminding me to activate my user interface system by simply thinking about it.
As I focused my thoughts, a transparent screen, tinted in a delicate lilac hue, materialized before me. It displayed an unfathomable amount of information regarding my character.

...What the fuck? Why am I extremely overpowered? What was Elheim thinking of giving me this much? And SS-class? There's something higher than S-Class? This is insane. Truly insane.
There's just so much of it to sift through, but I could tell that most of the classes listed here were inspired by Dungeons and Dragons. Some of the skills were straightforward, and for the rest, I'll have to test them out later. Looks like I have a lot to study.
For now, I'll just move on with the chest. I couldn't believe I was receiving more gifts.

Turning my attention back to the chest, I knelt down and opened it immediately. Inside the chest were a bunch of equipment and two eggs.
Carefully, I used [Master Appraisal] to discern each item within the chest.
> ○ Spectral Javelin | S-Class Rope Dart: A flexible monk weapon with a reach of up to 20 feet. It possesses the ability to phase through inanimate objects and solid walls, effortlessly bypassing their thickness. However, it cannot phase through living or undead creatures.
>
> ○ Black Nightingale Armor | S-Class Rogue Armor: An exotic form-fitting garment equipped with blade wards. It consists of a carbon breastplate that offers the protection of full-plated armor while remaining light as a feather. Compatible with shadow arts.
>
> ○ Decisive Sleuth Cane | S-Class Sword Chain: A slashing weapon capable of extending up to 10 feet, functioning similarly to a whip. Its strikes leave deep magical wounds and inflict cursed bleeding, which can only be remedied through cleansing.
>
> ○ Lawbreaker Glaive | S-Class Melee Weapon: Designed for decisive executions, this glaive delivers maximum radiant damage through divine smites on the first attack against an enemy.
>
> ○ Orb of Voracity | S-Class Artifact: A focus arcane item that grants the user absolute control over their spells, allowing slight alterations to suit their desires.
>
> ○ Spirit Away Bow | S-Class Ranged Weapon: Infusing positive or negative energy into arrows, this bow accumulates damage with each shot. It boasts an impressive range of up to 12,000 feet and possesses a True Strike effect. Once the attack hits that creature is sent to a random plane for 1 hour.
>
> ○ Rose Bouquet Quiver | S-Class Arrows: These unique arrows feature black branch and thorny stems, adorned with rose petals as feathers and golden arrow tips. Upon impact, they can summon a thicket of thorny rose bushes to entangle the struck creature. Resistant to elemental damage, including fire. The arrows have the remarkable ability to regenerate endlessly.

> ○ 3-Tail Glacier Fox Egg | Possible Promotion B → S-Class Rank | ????
>
> ○ 3-Tail Blazing Fox Egg | Possible Promotion B → S-Class Rank | ????
This loot was even more amazing. I should be happy, but I was horrified at how many gifts Elheim had given me, not to mention the special abilities and skills that came with my reincarnation. Is the world of Vynos so horrifying that I needed to be this strong to survive? There's no way for me to ask him of this now. Although I should be grateful for Elheim's generosity, a nagging doubt tugged at my thoughts, wondering if these gifts were tied to the looming endgame of the dungeon phenomena theme. The uncertainty lingered, casting a shadow over my excitement and making me question what dangers were waiting for me.
Never mind that. I guess I'll ask him the next time I meet him--If I meet him again.
It was simple to activate the [item box] skill as thinking of it. I promptly collected the loot including the chest right into endless dimensional pocket space, except for the Orb of Voracity, Rose Bouquet Quiver, Spirited Away Bow, and the two fox eggs of glacier and blazing.
I wondered how I was going to hatch these eggs, thinking they were like the popular pocket monster series, where I would have to walk around until they hatch. Instead, a notification popped up, instructing me to pour a drop of blood over the eggs.
Drawing an arrow from the Rose Bouquet Quiver, I proceeded to use the golden arrow tip to draw blood from my thumb, which was surprisingly more difficult than I thought. It didn't hurt, and it felt like I was pushing down a blunt object against my thumb. Finally, I felt a little prick and a bit of blood drew out. Quickly I smeared the drop of blood on both the eggs, and waited.
Several moments later, both eggs began to glow until it was nothing but a bright white light. Those glowing eggs then changed shape, growing four limbs, three tails, and two wide ears. When the light died down, I was presented with the cutest plump baby-sized foxes that I have ever laid my eyes own. Those two pairs of blue eyes and red eyes glanced up at me, gleaming with curiosity but also joy, as if they were happy to see me.
"Aww... Hiiiii--oh!"
They both chirped gleefully and ran around me. I laughed before I managed to gather them in my arms. It was a strange sensation to be holding something as cold as ice on my right and as warm as a hot pavement in my left, and yet it didn't bother me. I held them close, snuggling them and they happily rubbed their fluffy faces against my cheeks.
"Aw! You're all so cute!"
"Yip!"
"Yip-yip!"
Oh my God, this is heaven.
After spending some time playing with the newly named glacier fox, Chione, and the blazing fox, Pele, I marveled at the quick healing of the small cut on my finger. Even the arrow I had used to draw blood had struggled to pierce my skin. It made me wonder if my skin had some kind of innate protection against harm, perhaps even repelling arrows. The thought was both fascinating and unsettling, especially considering I hadn't even donned the nightingale armor yet.
The prospect of such power was both thrilling and intimidating.
As I pondered the properties of the arrows, which were supposed to summon thorny rose bushes to ensnare their targets, I couldn't help but notice that they had no effect on me. Was it because I owned them, rendering them ineffective against me? Or was there another reason for their failure?
Suddenly, a shiver ran down my spine, a chill that stirred a deep sense of unease within me. Instinctively, I knew I had to move. The fear that gripped me felt akin to the terror I experienced in the presence of bees, as I had a severe allergy to their stings. Just one sting could prove fatal.
"NO! GET AWAY!"
With a swift swing of the bow in my hands, I struck something behind me. The impact was followed by a deafening explosion, accompanied by a cloud of debris, dust, and shattered remnants of branches and leaves. As the chaos settled, I heard Chione and Pele yipping excitedly, their sounds more akin to celebration than fear. Opening my eyes, which I hadn't realized I had closed, I surveyed the aftermath before me.
Not far off, I beheld a creature resembling a giant Komodo dragon adorned with the distinctive stripes of a coral snake. Coral snakes were highly venomous, often mistaken for harmless scarlet king snakes due to their similar appearance. I recalled the rhyme that differentiated them: "Red touch black, friend of Jack; red touch yellow, kill a fellow." Coral Snakes are the latter, and should be avoided, or taken care of. Komodo dragons were already venomous, and the addition of the striped pattern only heightened their danger. This monstrous creature easily rivaled the size of a rhinoceros.
Its skull hung precariously, as if dislocated from the first vertebra, likely from a mighty blow. The once-clearing was now marred by fallen trees, casualties of its landing.
What had happened? What had slain this behemoth?
And then it dawned on me.
It was me, wasn't it?
In a state of disbelief, I stood amidst the wreckage, while Chione and Pele joyfully frolicked around the lifeless body of the Coral-Komodo dragon.
Once I regained my composure, I examined the creature more closely and discovered that it was indeed called the Coral-Komodo lizard. While I had mistakenly referred to it as a dragon, it seemed that my initial guess wasn't entirely off. The creature's classification in the appraisal system confirmed its formidable nature, being labeled as an A-class threat. Had I not intervened, my two fox companions, despite their small size, would have likely dispatched it effortlessly. However, given its venomous nature, consuming it was out of the question.
For now, I stored the creature away in my item box, focusing my attention on more pressing matters:
I need to find shelter.
"This tree looks sturdy enough."
Having traversed the vast forest alongside my fox companions without encountering further threats, I paused when I stumbled upon a young willow tree standing about 10 feet tall. I sought a suitable location to establish a temporary base, and having it near a prominent landmark like this tree seemed like a wise choice.
Now for my other skill(s): [Demiplane Creator], [Portal via Plants], and [Witch's Hut].
> ○ Demiplane Architect | User possesses the ability to create and control an interdimensional pocket realm spanning up to 50 acres. This demiplane can be tailored to the user's preferences, including simulated weather patterns and a customizable day and night cycle.
>
> ○ Portal via Plants | User has the power to open portals through size-appropriate plants, such as trees, enabling instantaneous transportation to another plant that the user has previously observed or made physical contact with.
>
> ○ Witch's Hut | A magically constructed cottage designed according to the user's desires. The cottage is accompanied by a team of 10 minuscule unseen servants who maintain its cleanliness and upkeep.
These skills are truly amazing...
I was truly admiring the skills that Elheim had bestowed upon me, appreciating them now more than ever. So far, from what I've seen, all these alone were enough to make up for the 20 years of offerings I had given him, and yet I had barely touched the rest of the skills he had given me.
I should better get acquainted my skills to protect myself better in this strange world.
"Looks like I'm going to be busy for the next week or so, Chione. Pele."
"Yeeep?"
"Yip-yip!"
...Cute. So Cute. They sound exactly like the noises that Pokémon Eevee would make but without saying the name!
"Alright! Let's do this!" I held my hands out.
Thus, it began: the new chapter of my next in another world.
