Slap!!

“He’s not waking up,” a feminine voice said

“Try again harder,” a deeper voice said.

SLAP!!!!

“I’m telling you, we might have used to big a dose,” the feminine voice said.

“We gave him the normal amount. I don’t understand why he is this knocked out,”

Matthew could feel his head spinning, and voices muffling around him.

“What are we going to tell the boss if he doesn’t wake up in time?”

“Dont worry, he will,”

Matthew could finally make out the noise, people talking. He recognized one of the voices, but from where? Matthew tried to think with his fried brain until it all came back.

Her!!

His eyes shut up, and his body instantly in fight-or-flight mode.

“told you,”

Matthew scanned the room he was in. It was a tight, confined space, with the same three people from earlier. He tried to get his body to stand so he could run away. But no matter how much he tried, his body didn’t budge. He looked down at the rope that surrounded his entire body, feeling the rope digging into his skin.

“Sorry, but you're probably not getting out of there anytime soon,” the man with the shorter hair said. Matthew looked at all of them, their sunglasses off. The men sat on the couch to the left of him. Both the males were Asian with dark black hair. The woman sat right in front of him and looked like a mix between Asian and Caucasian.

Matthew tried resisting the rope once more, but it didn’t budge. He let out a sigh, realizing he wasn’t going anywhere. Matthew finally noticed the small bussing sound that had been in the background, and as he look at the windows, it all made sense.

They were on a jet.

‘Why the fuck were they on a private jet,’ matthew thought to himself.

“W-where are you taking me?” Matthew said, failing to mask the fear from his voice.

“Finally, a proper question for once,” the woman said, sitting in the chair opposite to him, her legs crossed, and her hands folded. Her blonde hair flowing in a tight ponytail above her head. If Matthew's attention wasn't solely on the fact he was being kidnapped, he would have thought the woman was incredibly attractive. But in these circumstances, matthew thought she was a bitch.

“just answer my question lady.’ The fear he had felt earlier being replaced by anger.

“Relax, i wouldn’t be talking like that. It wasn’t us that had been slapping you awake”, The man with the longer hair said. Matthew suddenly realized his check had been stinging with pain the entire time. Matthew glared at the woman. She just returned a creepy smile.

“You are being taken to our facility in japan,” the woman finally answered. Japan? What could they probably want there?

Before Matthew could ask more questions, the woman continued, “Mister Hashimoto has taken an interest in the anomaly of a game you played two nights ago. He somehow thinks it can help our cause.”

Hashimoto?

The one and only Hashimoto had kidnapped him? And all because he played a game that was a little different from usual? Matthew felt his head spin from all the information. This had to be a hoax.

“Why should I believe you, and if it was true, why kidnap me?” Matthew asked. There was no reason to trust these individuals.

“Sometimes it’s easier than the civil way,” the woman said, a smirk on her face. Matthew clenched his fingers into the chair, the rage building up inside him. Matthew suddenly remembered the most important part.

His father!

“Where is my father?” He commanded, suddenly feeling like he could tear the rope apart, even though it didn’t budge.

Stolen novel; please report.

The woman said nothing, but nudged her head in the direction behind him. Matthew tilted his head backwards, and there he was. His father tied up just like him, with the machine over his head. Matthew felt the heat rising to his head. If they had done anything to his father, the second they untied him, he would kill all of them.

“We haven’t done anything to him,” one of the men said.

“We would have left him alone, but as we checked him. He had fallen into a coma,” the other man said.

“Coma? So the news was real,” Matthew said, mostly muttering the last part to himself.

“How do you I know you're not lying” Matthew said, feeling so useless, and clueless. At total mercy of the people in front of him. And he couldn’t do a damn thing.

“I think that’s more than enough,” the woman said, digging into her pocket. Matthew immediately knowing what she was pulling out.

“For god’s sake, not again. I promise I won’t do anything stupid”

“Too bad,” the woman said, and the familiar feeling hit his neck. This time he wasn’t able to pull it back out again, as his eyes slowly closed and darkness surrounded him.

“Did you really have to do that?”

“He was asking way too many questions, and he knows enough now so Hashimoto can have a proper conversation with him,”

“Would have been easier if you didn’t antagonize him so damn much”

“Well, he reminded me of some———”

———————————

“Terra, explain why the drug is effecting him so much. He should have been awake hours ago,”

“Sir Hashimoto, sadly i dont know, people just have different tolerance to the drug, this man’s must be on the lower side,”

“I’ve already spent too much time here already. I’m getting behind again,”

The muffled voices Matthew had been hearing were getting clearer. He slowly regained motor function of his body, and his eyes slowly started waking up.

“Finally!” a man with a clear accent said.

Matthew's eyes slowly adjusted to the light of the room, as everything suddenly blinded him. As his eyes eventually adjusted, he could see the man standing in front of him.

Hashimoto.

It didn’t matter that he was halfway passed out. He could remember his face anywhere, the amount of times it had been on the news. His slicked back black hair, his sharp eyebrows that tilted upwards, and the small wrinkles that were below his eyes, and nose that displayed his age. There he was, the man of the century standing in front of him.

“You’re finally with us, Mister Blake,” the man said, the accent very noticeable.

“I—um” Matthew's mouth couldn’t structure a sentence. The richest, smartest and most famous man in the world, who had also kidnapped him. He didn’t know how to feel, and he didn’t want to risk what would happen to him if he freaked out. The others had put him on edge, but looking at this man sent his entire body into fight or flight. Like it knew the power he held, regardless of his old age or small stature. He felt like a titan, staring directly at him.

Matthew looked down at his body, again bound to a chair, now just in an entirely white room.

“It is understandable you're nervous, Mister Blake,” Hashimoto began.

“And it wasn’t a lightly taken decision for me, and my team to kidnap you. You see, we have encountered a problem that has escalated to a far larger scale than we previously thought possible.

The coma cases?

“With all due respect sir, I——”

“Silence, you speak when you're spoken too,” a voice came from the other side of the room. A woman, wearing a white cloak the same as Hashimoto was wearing. She had long brown hair, and piercing green eyes. Matthew hadn’t even noticed the women until now, Hashimoto's intense presence hiding her. He also didn’t know why all the women working for Hashimoto were so angry.

“Terra, it’s alright. Now, mister Blake, I don’t have all day, so pardon me I’m going to be quick,”

“We would like for you to become our lab rat,” Hashimoto said, his plain facial expression not changing.

The man didn’t take his eyes off him, looking for an answer. Expecting an immediate yes, like it was the most natural conclusion in the world.

Him, a lab rat?

Of course, he wouldn’t do that. But….. Matthew suddenly felt himself hyperventilate. There was nothing he could do if he really thought about it. His father was in their hands. No one would try to find them, and if for some miracle, they looked for them. They would never be found in the hands of Hashimoto. There was nothing he could do other than say yes. Hashimoto was aggressively tapping his heel along the floor, expecting an answer.

“Doesn’t seem like I have much of a choice,”

“Sadly, you don’t,” the woman said.

“Perfect, that settles it, mister Blake, don’t worry your father is safe, but sadly having fallen into a coma like many others, i think you could be the clue to help us fix that, and hopefully helping us with the people causing the problem. But that’s further down the line,” Hashimoto said, “as you realized you have little choice, but alas that is life. Terra will take good care of you. ill come check on you once in a while,”

“Am….. Am I ever going to get out of here?”

Hashimoto looked back at Matthew as he was walking toward the door, “If you’re what were looking for, then maybe, if not……” He let his words hang as he closed the door behind him.

Matthew stared at the women in the white cloak slowly walking toward him, a large spreadsheet in hand. ‘For fuck's sake’, Matthew thought. All this because he had to try that stupid game.

“Ill try to be gentle,” the woman said, and Matthew could do nothing but resign himself to his situation. Hoping he could help them fix the coma problem so he could get home with his father. He knew there was no other way home than through.

“Do what you must,”

The woman simply smiled.
