In the west part of Ushin on the same day as the Sawa high entrance exams. At a nice local restaurant/dinner. There Kat and Juo would be sitting at a booth. Both eating some nice food, and enjoying a decent drink. Juo was eating and stuffing his face best he could while Kat just held her head in hands. Leaning forward as she stared at him.
"Mmmm, Uhh thanks for taking me out again. I'm not sure how you found me though." Juo said
"Oh it was simple, I just followed the reeling stench of self-loathing and denial. Heheh." Kat snickered. Juo wiped his mouth and looked down, his face pained by the words Kat said. He knew he had a problem, that he just couldn't let go. Let go of Himmy.
"Look, I get it. You said I should throw her away, well I can't ok? I can't. Even if I was to move on...theres no way I could live with myself. Knowing that she may be out there suffering with that...that monster!" Juo said. Kat rolled her eyes as she played with the butter knife. "Monster you say? You know people only identify something as a monster when it acts or behaves in a manner that they can't rationalize." Kat said
"Well then I guess he fits the description." Juo said. He sighed as he looked down at his food. Kat looked at him and then looked behind him. She saw a man, his wife and a child. Child looked no younger than 12 years old. "Hey, so. Uhhh, sorry about just blabbering. I'll try to uh...what do you like to do?" Juo asked stuttering. Kat grew a large grin across her face. Her hands clasping into her face.
"I like to inflict pain...and hunt." Kat smirked, Juo looked at her nervous and worried rubbing the back of his head. Kat then remembered what Kibe had told her. She then produced a very cute smile and gave a out a cute laugh, which caught Juo's attention. Kat giggled and the wiped her eye of a tear. "Oh my, I'm sorry. I just couldn't help freaking you out there. Your face was just priceless." Kat smirked, with Juo now feeling a bit more comfortable around her. The two then continued to have a wonderful time at the dinner.
Across town, the night beginning to come in. Kibe was sitting down with Rin, his eyes closed and arms folded. "Seems like they don't want to hand over anything to me unless I show them I mean business.
I have a feeling that a good way to get through to them is-" but Kibe wasn't listening to her. His eyes opened for a moment. Slightly.
"What other parts of my life are made up? What other pieces of my history were just...written in?
Is no part of my life organic at all?
Mi.....what was our relationship. Did any of it mean anything? I may have been distant, cold and emotionless. But in the end, minus all of the conditioning and programming. You still gave me something that no other living person...even my mother, could never have given me.
You gave me a sense of normality. Where others ignored my existence, you welcomed it. Even though I did everything to stay out of the light. You always there...to put me back in it again." Kibe said, his eyes looked up at all the lights blaring off from the arcade machines all around him. Thats when he looked over to see Kenji walking over. Kibe got up and looked to him. "Hey there Nori, I did as you asked." Kenji said as he walked next to Kibe with his hands in his pockets.
"Good. Now then. All you need to do now. Beat Kazutaka, hes our target today." Kibe said
"You mean you're target." Said a familiar feminine voice. Kibe then looked over along with Kenji to see it was Kiko. She was wearing some casual clothes as well.
"You called her." Kibe said
"He did. At my request that I'd be aware of any and all interactions between you two." Kiko said
"I'm guessing you orchestrated that long before we met." Kibe said with Kiko giving a nod to it. "So, you want me to best Kazutaka in every game here? Whats the aim?" Kenji asked.
"Kazutaka is a guy who adores attention. From his outwardly outfit, to his mannerisms and demeanor.
He enjoys it and even bathes in the lens of attention. Take that away and he'll crack. Which means he'll do anything to keep it." Kibe said. Kenji looked at Kibe, knowing Kibe. He had some other motive behind this, but Kenji couldn't see anything of the sort on Kibe's face. One of the many things that pissed Kenji off about Kibe, that unreadable face.
"Alright then. I'll get to it. What are you going to do?" Kenji asked
"None of your business, just know that I'll be doing my own part." Kibe said as he walked away. Kenji and Kiko stood looking at Kibe leave.
"Hes growing less and less in our favor. Do you believe that what Bato said is true?" Kenji asked

"Of course, but it isn't our job to stop him. It's our job to be on his side, at least for now. Don't worry Kenji, just worry about playing your part. Anything less and we'll lose our edge over the situation." Kiko said as she walked away. Kenji watched her leave before he walked away as well. Kibe ended up back at the VIP section of the third floor. Kibe stared at a few people inside of it. Analyzing and taking note of everyone. Kibe walked out of it and began walking around the massive party.
"This place is massive. I predict analyzing each corner of this place to take at least several minutes. Ten if I don't watch out for people." Kibe thought as he began walking around. As he did his mind wandered to the pale palace and his questions toward his life.
"If they could fabricate my childhood friend, then my family wouldn't be all too difficult either. While my mother is indeed brilliant and can be smart in her own right. She is a drunk, she's clumsy at times and even deals with problems such as hearing at times.
This could be her age, but if she had been doing what I have all a long. Her hearing should be perfectly fine along with her sight. Yet she needs glasses. If the pale palace is so willing to do what they do, then whats to stop them from doing such things as...
Eugenics experiments.
It could be possible that the woman who I've been living with all my life. May not even be my mother, but someone put in her place. Someone on the outside of the pale palace." Kibe thought as he then found himself near the farther left side of the party. Where he'd arrive at a large glass window to the outside. There he saw many parked cars, people walking around and families enjoying themselves.
Elsewhere, at the front of Swan River General Hospital. Where Mr.Nakayama and Mr.Miyuki stood outside, ready to speak to the head of the hospital. Dr.Tomomasa. The two men walked into the hospital, it was a busy hour. Many moving and walking out and in. Mr.Miyuki looked over to see the some nurses staring at them from the second floor. He waved to them to which they did back, but they didn't have a curious look, but instead a dismissive and sort of judgmentally. Eventually Mr.Nakayama and Mr.Miyuki would arrive at Dr.Tomomasa's office.
"This is going to be big Nakayama, you sure going down this path will be wise for the long run?" Mr.Miyuki asked with a whisper. "I'm sure." Mr.Nakayama said. Thats when he'd knock on the door to the office. Two men stood there for a few moments before the door opened revealing Dr.Tomomasa. He was a fairly large man, no bigger than Mr.Nakayama. he was partially blade and had glasses. Prescriptioned. His eyes were a dark brown, he seemed to be well stood and not slouching in his appearance for even a second.
"Ah detective Nakayama! What a pleasure. Please come in." Said Dr.Tomomasa. Mr.Nakayama and Mr.Miyuki walked inside the room. As they did they'd good lay of the room. They saw the massive portrait of the twins, Mr.Nakayama looked at it. "Would you guys like a drink? I imagine the walk here wasn't hydrating heheh." Dr.Tomomasa chuckled joyfully.
"Hehe yea. I'll take one." Mr.Miyuki answered. Mr.Nakayama stared at the painting of the twins. The blonde twins, both wearing the same uniform, both wearing the same expression. In that moment Mr.Nakayama's head clicked, his memories matching togther impossible dots that he never thought would connect, but in this moment...he did.
Because when he saw the portrait of the twins, he then thought of Kibe. Kibe's casual yet emotionless expression. These twins shared. No other human being, that Nakayama had ever met shared that expression that Kibe wore so flawlessly. Except for these two now. In their eyes, through his human eyes. He saw not two twins, but once again. Two machines, wearing the skin of humans. The portrait showed Mr.Nakayama all that he needed to see. His eyes momentarily turning to Dr.Tomomasa, the realization now hitting him on just how deep everything indeed did go. Began to realize. That the people behind Kibe's life. May infact go further back then even his history as a detective. His face and body was pale.
"Here you both go. Sorry Mr.Nakayama, I didn't know what you wanted, so I poured some water." Said Dr.Tomomasa, Mr.Miyuki grabbed his drink as Mr.Nakayama grabbed his and nodded. Fixing his expression as to not give anything away.
"So, what can I offer you gentlemen today? As you can see, we have quite the busy schedule today." Dr.Tomomasa said with a smirk as he walked over to his desk and put his hands on a portrait facing away from the two men. Mr.Miyuki took a drink from his glass while Mr.Nakayama just stared at the man.
"We need some help with getting an understanding for a murder. The White Rabbit. I'm sure you've heard of him." Mr.Miyuki said
"Ah him, what a vigilantly. Such horrible actions, to do such just to please some sick agenda. Some wicked sense of delusion.
I can't believe someone like that even exist." Dr.Tomomasa said.
"We haven't been able to track a clear motive. Meaning this guy either has a grand plan, or hes acting wildly. So far he hasn't made any moves recently, but I believe he'll strike again soon." Mr.Nakayama said. "Really now? Where at? Any ideas?" Dr.Tomomasa asked.
"Yes, I believe he intends to attack this hospital next." Mr.Nakayama said which shocked both Dr.Tomomasa and Mr.Miyuki. Both looking at him with total disbelief.
"What? What the hell are you talking about Nakayama?!" Mr.Miyuki thought. Dr.Tomomasa then fixed his glasses as he looked to Mr.Nakayama who was staring at him and drinking his water.
"H-How did you come to that conclusion? Evidence I presume." Dr.Tomomasa asked, his voice bit more shaking then before. "Yes, and some close observations. I have great reason to believe that this individual takes out those who may infact pose a threat to him." Mr.Nakayama said.
"W-What are you saying?" Dr.Tomomasa asked
"I'm saying, I think its time you helped us understand the motive we've been asking you for." Mr.Nakayama said, Dr.Tomomasa nodded as he gestured for the men to sit down. The two the both sat down in some comfy chairs.
"Well, something without a motive. Your talking of someone without a purpose for what they do correct? They just do it?" Dr.Tomomasa asked. "Yes, I've dealt with many cases before and they all have one thing. Motive, reason and purpose." Mr.Nakayama said
"Yes...I believe I can indeed help you with this." Dr.Tomomasa said.
