Chapter 2 [Big forest, small snake]

Chapter 2 [Big forest, small snake]

I opened my eyes and slithered out of my make shift den, I turn back to look at my greatest creation. It was a mound of dirt with a hole at the base and a berry bush on the top, I got the idea to make one of these after hunting for a few mice to eat.

I stayed in their home for a couple days while I figured out what I should do with the information on the screen, I just kind of slithered aimlessly for a few hours until I got hungry and ate a dead mouse I found, apparently it died from some poisonous mushrooms nearby and at the time I got a little I'll.

My stomach stopped and I continued slithering and sliding my way through life. I got hungry again and unfortunately their were no poisoned mice anywhere, so I was forced to hunt something and the thing I found was the mice I mentioned earlier.

For the few days I lived there, I reached the first level of my species and gained some size. When I was born, I was only around 2 feet long and now at level 1 I'm around a meter long and now have a thin layer of fur like feathers across my body and I feel like there are some new bones on my back.

If what the screen said is true, once I level up more I will gain my wings and beautiful feathers. Other than changes to my body, I got my first magic element... well not an element but a concept or would category be a better term? whatever, It is called [Ground Magic] and it allows me to create and controls things you would find in or on the ground.

It is like a bunch of similar magics all stuffed into one magic. I figured out how to tunnel with it and also make pebbles, ain't that neat.

But the more I used it the more I realized its potential, I could reshape stones and turn stones into dirt and then I can turn the dirt into sand, which I must say is more comfy to sleep on than dirt.

I figured out how to control small plants and worked my way up to moving tree roots, it's slow and currently can't be used in a fight unless my prey is very slow moving.

I moved out of the mice burrow, why? because I want mice to find it and make their home their, also because I know where it is and it would be an easy meal.

I got to work making a big pile of dirt and rocks which I compacted together to make it sturdy, I forced some grass to grow over it and used a berry to force grow a bush on my mound. it acts as bait for small creates which I eat and the roots add more stability once I move them to the right place.

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

I keep the bigger beings out by creating a wall of tree roots and the biggest stones I could make between seven trees, I left gaps in the wall so mice and rabbits could still enter.

Speaking of bigger beings, can hear one that I am fond of passing right now. I slithered over to the wall and peek over to see a colossal beast trotting through the woods.

It's a huge bipedal walking tree with arms that end in claws, where a head should be is where it branches out and the green leaves begin.

I ran into one while hunting and even though I was scared of it I also felt safe for some reason, the big tree monster which I now know is an Ent is a forest guardian that protects the forest from weird looking things called humans. The one I met had bent over and pat me on the head with its finger.

I like Ent's and when I become bigger and stronger, I am going to keep them around... I don't know why, but being around them is calming and also because they reek of Ground Magic, me and them have something in common.

I watched the peaceful giant walk by after glancing at my territory, seeing them also reminds me of how small I am compared to most things in these wood and another reminder of why I must practice and grow.

I slither through one of the gaps and towards a river, I was thirsty and wanted to see if I could ambush some drinking mice for an easy meal or if I am lucky, I could maybe kill one of those rabbits with the horns on their heads.

I looked around at the forest and its many colorful plant and wish that my feathers look just as good or better, My feather around my head are orange, my mid section is green and my tail is indigo.

I'm a little sliding rainbow... that bites, is partially venomous and control the very earth around it... On second throughs I'm a bit more dangerous than I give myself credit for.

I wonder how strong I'll be when I level up?... oh, I can see the river... what are those? I thought to myself as I stared at some big hairless thing wearing animal skin and shiny rock.

I flinched as the thing turned to meet my gaze, I stared at it and it stared at me... it took a step towards me and I used magic to tunnel into the ground and shrink the hole behind me.

On second thought I don't want to head to the river, sleeping seems just as fun as I began tunneling away from the river and back to my territory all while that thing is making weird sounds above me.

One of those noises was "Guys did ya see that snake, It just used magic" I kept tunneling away, I couldn't understand those noises and frankly I didn't care.

I felt danger and decided to excuse myself and something about that being makes me feel... angry? at the moment where fear kicked in, I wanted to attack it... why though? it didn't feel hostile?

Ya know what, that is a question for another day, "now onwards to home!" I screamed to myself.
