A sky pirate gang named "Cloudsbane" has finally decided to finish off the century-long reign of the mad King Balmung, who has sworn death to all sky pirates in the world of Caelmia. Rían, the Captain of the Cloudsbane, sets off to an adventure with his gang, travelling throughout the isles in the sky.  Returning home after three years of travelling through Caelmia, the crew hears about a rally, that promises wealth and a treasure. And thanks to Baron Crowley's funding over the years, several "mechanical islands" have been build to make the rally harder and more interesting. Meanwhile, Balmung sends off his personal guard, "Troupe Noire", who is dead set on eliminating every sky pirate that comes across them. Things change however, when Dmitry, the middle child of the Troupe Noire sibling flock, meets Rían at a bar and falls in love with the madman himself.
