“Once you calculate the area, you can…” The professor’s voice was drowned out by the birds chirping outside the window.
Sakyo stared outside, it was a beautiful day with white fluffy clouds and a glorious sunshine, yet he was stuck inside this drafty, musty classroom with a bunch of people he couldn’t relate to and an old teacher that should probably have been dead at this point. Sakyo’s attention was caught by a bird feeding her young and then flying off to find something important. Man, barely any obligation and the ability to go wherever you want to go? I wish I was a bird. Sakyo thought.
“Sakyo? Are you paying attention?”
Sakyo looked to his left to find the source of the voice, one of his best friends, named Nindo.
“What do you think? I never pay attention.” Sakyo replied.
“This lesson is important though, it will definitely be on the test.” Nindo told him.
“I know, but have you ever remembered me paying attention in class? You remember I also score perfectly on every test don’t you?” Sakyo asked.
“Well...yeah, that may be true, but how do you even do that without paying attention anyway?” Nindo asked.
“My mom, she makes me study super hard every single night and doesn’t let me play videogames until I’m done.” Sakyo answered.
“Right...but even then, it still doesn’t make much sense.” Nindo said.
“Don’t worry about it man, if it works, don’t try to fix it.” Sakyo said back.
“I guess you’re right, well don’t slack off too much or none of the hot girls at this school will like you.” Nindo said.
“Ha, whatever man, I don’t need some dumb girlfriend right now, I’m just enjoying my life.” Sakyo said.
“Well you could sure use one, virgin boy.” Nindo said.
“That isn’t fair, you haven’t got any either.” Sakyo said.
“Yeah but I assume it’s pretty awesome.” Nindo said.
“Are you two paying attention back there? Sakyo, Nindo?” The teacher asked.
“-er, yes, yes sir we are.” Nindo answered.
“No slacking, this will be on the test!” The old teacher said.
“Understood, we’re sorry.” Sakyo said.
What a complete and total drag. Sakyo thought.

“Yoo hoo, Umaruuuuu”
Umaru turned to look at who was trying to get her attention, the school thug, Makine Usao.
“Screw off Makine, I’m not interested and no, you can’t sit with me.” Umaru said sternly.
“Wow, why so bossy?” Makine asked.
“You heard me Makine, now back off.” Umaru said again.
Makine wasn’t listening, and frankly, he didn’t care. Closing in on Umaru, she pulled away from him in disgust.
“Seriously Makine, you don’t want to mess with me.” Umaru said.
“Or what, sweet girl? You’re gonna Kamehameha wave me?” Makine said.
“You don’t want to see what happens.” Umaru said.
“Try your best.” Makine said, getting even closer.
Please time stop, help me out!

“5 minutes until you need to turn in your quizzes!” The teacher said.
Sakyo wasn’t worried, his paper was blank, but with the help of a little time stop he could cheat off of the answer sheet that the teacher had on his desk. Man, I really love these powers. No stress in the world! Sakyo thought. Clicking the crown button in his pocket, time suddenly stood still and Sakyo could even see some dust particles stopped in mid air. Before he went to the answer sheet, he made sure to pay Chino Rusa’s panties a visit. Ahh, same old striped blue panties as always, just another benefit of these awesome powers! I can rule the world! Sakyo thought. Checking the answer sheet, Sakyo copied over each answer and sat back down.
“Alright, time’s up! Turn in your tests everyone!” The teacher said.

Opening her eyes, which had been closed to shut out the image of the thug Makine, Umaru noticed that time around her had actually come to a halt. Wow! I must be getting better at controlling my powers! Thanks time stoppers! Staring at the thug, she thought of what to do with him. I could just move him really far away from me, but that would probably put people on to my trail. I should probably just beat him up and then lay him on the ground so he thinks he just went unconscious… Umaru punched the thug a few times to rough him up, and then laid his body on the wooden plank school floor. That should do it. She thought.
“Uuuugh, what hit me?” Makine asked from the floor.
“I did. I told you to screw off and you didn’t” Umaru said.
“Fine, fine, I’ll leave you alone you wackjob.” Makine said.
“As the way it should be” Umaru replied.
*Bing, Bing.* The school bells rang to signify that class was over and it was time for the next class.
Walking into the classroom, Umaru immediately noticed someone in particular. Sakyo Uso, that guy is really really cute! Umaru thought. She had had a crush on the boy ever since grade school, and it carried over through the years. Since grade school, she didn’t have a single class with the guy, so this was a pleasant surprise.
“H-hey Sakyo.” Umaru said to the boy.
“Hm? Oh, hi there Umaru, what do you need?” Sakyo asked.
“Just saying hi, I haven’t seen you since I looked at your profi- I mean since grade school.” Umaru said, almost revealing her cyberstalking habit.
“Yeah I guess that’s true. How have you been?” Sakyo asked.
“Pretty good, how about you?” Umaru asked.
“Decent as well.” Sakyo said.

The awkward silence was so quiet, Sakyo could swear that he would even be able to hear a pin drop in the silence, despite the rest of the class talking loudly. Man, Umaru is super hot, I never even noticed. I guess it’s time for me to see what she’s got, “down under” smirking, Sakyo reached into his pocket to push on the crown. Just as Umaru was turning back around to talk to one of her friends, he pushed the crown which caused the classroom to stand still in time. Alright, now it- WHAT?
“Hehe, looks like my powers worked once again!” Umaru said loudly among a silent classroom.
She isn’t affected by my powers??? Sakyo thought.
