A handsome youth walked along several desks, several with people in front, all of whom were closely watching the handsome youth walk past them.

The destination of the handsome youth was the door in front of him, where inside he would find his boss. Although the youth was nervous, something which was uncommon for him. From his exterior, one would think he would be as calm as a serene lake.

He pushed the door handle down, his vision greeted by an organized office. But what would immediately catch one's attention was the domineering aura of the man behind the desk in the center of the office.

Even while sitting, it was clear that he was tall and well built, his hair short and the same color as his white beard, which created a beautiful contrast with his black skin.

"Officer Matteo Galli reporting for duty." The handsome youth, named Matteo, was standing straight, one arm crossed behind his back, the other crossed on his chest, his hand almost on his shoulder.

"Since this is your first mission, you will be guided by Corporal Jessica. And if you succeed in this case, you will officially become a Second Grade officer."

Although Matteo wanted to ask who Corporal Jessica was, he decided to find it out himself. Now back in the large office, he looked around, inspecting everyone, just as they did to him.

There were a total of nine people here. 4 women and 5 men. 3 of the women looked at him, which made Matteo single out them.

Among them, 2 were behind a desk connected to another desk of someone else. While only 1 was sitting at a large desk.

In the ECEB, officers were ranked from Second Grade Officer to First Grade Officer, to Corparal, and lastly Captain.

Since Corporal was a higher rank only 2 people could have at the same time, Corporal Jessica probably was the woman sitting alone.

He approached her while inspecting her. Short brown hair and brown eyes, a pretty face but not something most would consider beautiful. Although Matteo couldn't fully see her, from appearance alone, one would think she was weak.

"Hello Matteo, I was waiting for you. I already heard from the captain I would be helping you on your first mission. I'm so excited, I heard a lot about you. Ralef was a city on the border of 2 nations, one of them being the nation Matteo was currently in, but there were always wars about to whom the city belonged, and even to this day tensions were high. So the visit from the mayor of said city here was big. But her murder was even bigger, and if not handled well could result in a war.
